Valenar's room was gutted. Black charcoaled walls and hot spots where broken furniture lay smouldering were the only things showing any kind of resistance to Raeann's fire fury. The fifteen-year-old had been taken away to the infirmary by Caroline, and he was currently supervising the witches' attempts to recreate some of Valenar's personal effects. He hadn't even had time to explain about the whole mate bond, and damn, did his girl have a temper! Quinley Barrett, a long time friend, and student witch, made her way over to where Valenar sat on the ground. Her hands were closed, and she smiled shyly before she sat down next to him.
