Transfer of power

The grand hall was eerily quiet as the students gathered, taking their seats with trepidation as the High Priestess stood on the podium. Supernaturals from all the creeds were represented this evening, and the magic hall currently seated over a thousand creatures. John stood beside his wife, looking out on the sea of faces and he couldn't stop the shudder from entering his very bones. 'Such young kids, to be going to war' his wolf Victor remarked, and John had to agree with his friend. This would be a war like no other, with the young fighting a fierce battle whilst many of the older witches and wizards provided a veil to mask the war from human eyes.
