Jasmine had spent the entire day immersed in the comfortable cocoon of her home, surrounded by the familiar comfort of her living space. The muffled sounds of her new neighbor’s movements next door had piqued her curiosity, creating a backdrop to her day as she toggled between work and the monotony of television. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of warm orange and pink across the sky, Jasmine decided to treat herself to a meal ordered from her favorite local restaurant. The aroma of the delivered food filled her kitchen, teasing her taste buds and sparking an unexpected craving for a cold, fizzy cola to complement the flavors. To her dismay, a thorough search of her refrigerator revealed an empty space where her beloved cola bottles should have been. No matter how hard Eva tried, the presence of a father figure seemed indispensable.“Eva, I left something in the car. I’ll just head downstairs for a few minutes to retrieve them,”Xavier announced later, his hands had been occupied with the basket and snacks, leaving him unable to bring along the additional items.“Can I go with?” Liam inquired.“O

After concluding their discussion with Dr. Gomez, Xavier and Eva made their way back to Daisy’s ward. The weight of the doctor’s words lingered in the air, and Eva couldn’t help but sigh as she reflected on the situation.“I’m no miracle worker. I may be a specialist, but there is still a chance and rate of mortality. I would suggest we wait for a few months,” Dr. Gomez had conveyed, and Xavier cast a glance at Eva, who sat there calmly, absorbing every word.Dr. Gomez continued, sharing insights into his experiences, mentioning the youngest age he had operated on a similar case–a child aged six. He expressed his preference for waiting a few more weeks, allowing time for preparation, both in terms of Daisy’s physical condition and her overall well–being. Eva nodded in understanding. “In the meantime, she’ll remain here at the hospital until the time of surgery. I and my new team will work to ensure little Daisy is well recovered,” the doctor assured, offering a small but comforting sm
