I opened the door to Austin's room only to close it again a minute later. Wyatt and our son were having a fun reading time, and I though it was better for me not interrupting them. Not that I avoided a quality time with the tree of us. I just wanted that time to theirs because I knew a father and a son needed to create their bonds. I had enough, so it was Wyatt's turn.

Therefore, I decided to find my own fun by reading a novel we bought together. Well, just remembering that moment already made me chuckle. Boring books. How could Austin come up with the term?

Unfortunately, those boring books were my fun. I love reading stories as it felt like pulling me into a new world. Because of that, I often found it refreshing after finishing a book, even though sometimes I would be devastated by their tragedy.

And this novel, I hoped, could be a refreshment, although I doubted it. I had read the blurb and it seemed a complipated story.
