Lena's POV

I watched Xenia arguing with Dad on the balcony and furrowed my brows, blocking Donald out and trying to see if I could hear them.

"I am assuring you Donald is her boyfriend. See, they are even discussing." Xenia raised her voice and I grinned, knowing what all this was about.

"You need to leave now." I turned to face Donald who took a step backward in shock.

"You are sending me out?" He asked in disbelief and I fought back a scoff.

Obviously, idiot. Seeing him right now was causing me so much irritation.

"I need to rest," I replied and then walked out on him.

He tried calling me back but I ignored and told one of the guards around not to let him in till I said otherwise.

I walked into my room and saw Xenia pacing around, in it.

Wasn't she with Dad?

Immediately she saw me, she folded her hands across her chest, flipping her dyed hair backwards.

"What was that drama you caused?" She frowned and I scoffed, trying to calm myself down from seeing her ugly face.

I so wanted to barge at her, then rip those fake lashes and make-up off.

"What drama?" I questioned as I went to sit on the sofa in my room, a pillow on my lap.

"Don't play dumb. I thought you hated Griffin." She began and I bit back a laugh.

Not as much as I hated Donald or her. I must see them miserable even if I had to be unhappy myself.

"Why would I hate him? He is quite charming." I muttered and was surprised to see I actually meant it.

Xenia stared at me for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. She looked like a crazy person to me.

"If you are done, can you get out of my room? It suddenly feels too suffocating with you in it." I told her and she looked like I had punched her in the guts.

I smirked.

This was nothing compared to what I would do further.

"That's rude. Apologize, this instant." She demanded but I just rolled my eyes, picked up my towel from the bed, and moved to the bathroom.

She was standing in my way, so I leaned in to whisper into her ear.

"If you know what is good for you, you will start to know your place and stop crossing boundaries," I warned and she shivered, her eyes widening a bit as I brushed her with my shoulder aggressively.

She tripped over the rug, but I didn't care and just entered the bathroom to freshen up.

I came out afterwards, breathing heavily as I lay down on my bed after drying my body. Just then, my phone pinged, alerting me that I had a message.

I brought it out to check only to see that it was from an unsaved number. I got curious and opened it.

"Yo princess, I have a hockey match tomorrow, and as my new babe, you are to wear my jacket and come to cheer for me. Me, and not your stupid ex-boyfriend." I read out and grinned, knowing immediately who this message was from.

I found myself saving his contact with troublemaker, wondering how he got a hold of my number, but then shrugged.

I was about to lie down to sleep when someone kicked my door open and barged in.

I flicked my eyelids open only to see Dad glaring at me, Xenia trembling behind him as she held his arms, as if trying to prevent him from doing something.

What now? I resisted the urge to groan and just sat up.

"It's alarming how you are growing more and more spoiled, Lena." Dad insulted, and I narrowed my eyes at him in confusion.

What the hell did I do now?

"How dare you slap my wife? You should always respect her because she is now your mum." He yelled, anger blazing through his eyes.

"Easy George. I already told you she probably didn't mean it and is just struggling to cope with me being around." Xenia began to display acting skills once again.

She was quite good. No wonder Dad and I always fell for it, but this time, I was gonna force reality out of her.

Xenia looked at me, and the side of her lips curled into her smirk as Dad continued to scold me, and she pretended to be defending me.

It was then I noticed a red, hand imprint on her cheeks and knew instantly that she did it to frame me, like she always did in the past but I wasn't moved.

I said nothing as Dad continued yelling and he noticed, pointing at me as annoyance flickered in his eyes.

"You are not going to say anything? Why can't you be remorseful, apologize, and just get along? She was once your best friend, remember." He shielded Xenia in his arms.

"First of all, she isn't my mother, and two, it's quite shameful that my dad married someone as young as I am, his daughter to be my mother." I pointed out, and both his and Xenia's jaws dropped.

"OMG! That's rude Lena. I get you acting that way to me but not to your father." She shrieked, her voice sounding so horrible that I cringed.

"It's just the truth." I shrugged, and Dad raised his hand to slap me, but Xenia stopped him.

"You brat! Are you even my daughter?" He yelled once again and I sighed.

"I should be asking you that, Father. Whose parents believe an outsider over their blood right away, without confirming the truth?" I questioned and he froze, while Xenia went pale.

"Are you trying to say I am lying?" She immediately butt in and I smiled.

"Yes. I didn't even touch you, you have access to the footage Dad. Please confirm yourself." I pointed to the phone in his hand, and he frowned, turning to look at Xenia, who began to scratch the back of her hair nervously.

"Very well." He said and began scrolling on his phone for some minutes before turning to glare at me.

"Did you delete the footage?" He raged and I saw Xenia smirking again, thinking she had won.

What a fool! She can't outsmart me again in this life.

"Ask your wife that. Why would I let you waste your time checking if I did?" I nudged and he gritted his teeth against one another, refusing to do so.

It was then that I noticed that Xenia had really charmed Dad into thinking that she was a harmless angel who might not even be able to hurt a fly, but then she killed me, his only child.

"Alright then. I saved the footage on my phone, just in case." I revealed and all colors drained out of Xenia's face.

Fear appeared in her eyes, and her hands began to tremble as I scrolled on my tablet, then handed it to Dad to see.

He was about to look when Xenia collapsed to the floor suddenly and Dad's attention was immediately drawn.

"Baby, what's wrong?" He asked in panic.

"I suddenly feel faint. Please help me get back to bed." She pleaded and I huffed.

"Dad, the footage?"

"Shut up! Can't you see she isn't feeling well?" He snapped, then led her out of the room and I chuckled in amazement.

I was beginning to enjoy this.

.........

The next day was the hockey match and I made sure to ignore Donald all through classes today, heading to the men's locker room to see Griffin and get his jacket.

The room seemed deserted and I was about to leave when I bumped into a huge rock, my nose almost bruising due to the impact.

"Ouch." I cried out and raised my head to lash at whoever when I caught the smell of the most delicious scent ever.

I stiffened as Chole came alive in my head, flipping around in excitement.

"Mate." A familiar voice growled and my heart skipped a beat. I would recognize that voice anywhere.

Oh moongoddess! Do not tell me.....

I looked to see Griffin, his dark eyes glowing, his mouth opening to show his fangs as I moved closer towards him.

I shook, taking a step backwards and another till he had me pinned against a locker, my legs wobbling as he leaned into me, sniffing and licking the area on my neck.

I couldn't move, nor could I speak, as butterflies rumbled in my stomach.

Griffin was my mate? How is that possible?

This never happened in the past life. As a matter of fact, Donald was my mate.

I hiccupped as Griffin touched me again before biting my lips hard to get myself. I immediately pushed him off and ran out to the field.

I panted as I took a seat, watching as people began to cheer loudly as Donald walked in with pride.

A few minutes later, Griffin and his teammates also walked in, and the cheers became even louder, annoying Donald obviously.

But something made my blood boil as I watched Griffin. A beautiful girl was clinging to his arms and putting on his jacket.

Something that belonged to me.

  • Chasing My Hockey Alpha    Under the Same Moon

Lena’s POVI never thought quiet would feel so heavy.I stand at the edge of the clearing, Griffin beside me. The sun is low, spilling gold across the trees. No council. No packs. No watchers. Just us.I take a deep breath. I can feel my mark under my skin. Not burning. Not sharp. Just calm, steady, like it’s finally breathing with me instead of against me.Griffin glances at me, quiet. “You okay?”I nod slowly. “Yeah. I think I am.”He smiles, small. Not teasing. Not loud. Just… there. Comfortable.I let my gaze drift to the horizon. Everything we went through. All the fighting, the whispers, the fear. It’s behind us now. Or maybe… it’s just different. Lighter. Clearer.“You’ve changed,” Griffin says.I tilt my head. “We’ve all changed. It wasn’t just me. You… you never really wavered.”“Someone has to keep it steady,” he says. “Otherwise…” He shakes his head. “We’d still be fighting shadows.”I smile faintly. “And now?”“Now,” he says, “we see the moon. Same moon. Just… different li

  • Chasing My Hockey Alpha    A New Order

Ryker’s POV I’ve never liked big ceremonies. Too much fluff. Too much noise. Too many people pretending to matter. But today, I’m standing in what used to be the council hall, and the air is quieter than I expected. Not tense. Not scared. Just… expectant.Griffin’s gone off to oversee some other changes. Lena is nearby, talking quietly with a few elders. I don’t need to hover. Not today.I’ve got a stack of Keeper records in my hands, folders, tablets, scrolls—whatever anyone ever thought could hide the truth. Today, nothing hides.I glance at Corvin and Tamsin. Their faces are stiff. They were part of the old guard, the old rules, and they don’t know what to do with themselves now.“Ryker,” Tamsin says, voice tight. “Are you sure opening everything is—”“Necessary,” I cut in. “Yes. Otherwise, what’s the point of change?”Corvin shakes his head. “You can’t just throw centuries of procedure aside.”I step closer to the table. “I’m not throwing it aside. I’m correcting it. The records

  • Chasing My Hockey Alpha    Lilith’s Reckoning

Lilith’s POV I didn’t hear him come in. One moment I was staring at the wall, trying not to think, and the next, Griffin’s voice cut through the silence.“Lilith.”I jumped. My heart was already pounding, but hearing his voice made it worse.“I… I didn’t hear you.” I swallowed hard.He didn’t answer right away. Just stepped closer, hands behind his back. Calm. Too calm. The kind of calm that makes your stomach twist.“I need you to look at this.” He set a small tablet on the table. A screen lit up. Names. Dates. Spells. My own handwriting. My own stupid, desperate marks.I blinked. “W-what is this?” My voice sounded smaller than I expected.“You know what it is,” he said quietly. His eyes weren’t angry. They were… steady. Piercing.“I… I didn’t mean—” I started, then stopped. What was there to mean? I had tried. And I had failed.“You didn’t mean,” he repeated, his voice soft but firm. “You thought you were helping. But it’s all here. Every spell, every word, every step you took. You

  • Chasing My Hockey Alpha    The Fall of Masks

Xenia’s POVThe room feels smaller when no one is standing on your side.I notice it the moment I walk into the council antechamber. Same stone walls. Same long table. Same faces I’ve known for years. Elders. Pack leaders. People who used to nod at me, smile at me, lean in when I spoke. Now?They don’t look at me at all.I straighten my shoulders anyway. Habit. Pride. Maybe denial.“Shall we begin?” I ask lightly, like this is just another meeting. No one answers.Elder Maelor clears his throat. “You may sit.”May.That word stings more than I expect. I take the seat anyway, crossing my legs slowly, refusing to rush. If this is going to be a performance, I’ll control my part.I glance around. “I was told this was urgent.”“It is,” Tamsin says. Her voice is careful. Distant. “Things have… shifted.”I smile. “They always do.”No one smiles back.My fingers curl against my knee. Fine. Let’s skip the warm-up.“So,” I say, tilting my head. “What’s the concern?”Corvin finally looks at me.

  • Chasing My Hockey Alpha    The Alpha and the Luna

Griffin’s POVI’ve stood in front of packs before. The open grounds stretched wide beneath the sky, filled with wolves from every direction. Their scents layered the air: pine and iron, ash and rain, old bloodlines and unfamiliar ones. Neutral packs stood beside former rivals. Old allies watched from careful distances. Some faces I recognized instantly. Most I didn’t.They stood in loose rows, not arranged by rank or territory, watching quietly. Waiting. There was no council table. No raised platform. No structure meant to elevate anyone above the rest.Just earth beneath our feet, sky overhead, and the truth we’d all come to face.Lena stood beside me.Not behind me. Not half a step back in deference. Directly at my side, her shoulder aligned with mine. Her hand was in mine, warm and steady. I felt no tremor there, no hesitation.I leaned slightly toward her, lowering my voice. “You okay?”She nodded once, breath slow and even. “Yeah. I’m ready.”That answer told me more than any spe

  • Chasing My Hockey Alpha     The Cost of Power

Lena’s POVI used to think power would announce itself. That it would feel like noise—like heat rushing through my veins or thunder cracking open the sky. I thought it would make everything sharper, louder, impossible to ignore. I imagined people shrinking when I walked into a room, imagined myself standing taller just by existing. That’s not how it feels at all.It feels quiet.Too quiet, sometimes.I’m standing in the council hall again, but the room isn’t the same as it was before. There are no whispers following me, no half-hidden glances traded behind folded hands. No one is pretending this is routine or manageable.Everyone knows what happened.Ryker didn’t soften anything. He didn’t frame it gently or give anyone space to explain it away. He laid out the evidence piece by piece until there was nowhere left to hide. Xenia’s name doesn’t need to be spoken now. It lingers in the air but everyone seems afraid of it. She isn’t here.Neither is Donald.Lilith is.She stands near the
