Chapter 7: Mine To Claim 

Madeline 

His words made my body tense, and me gasping for air. Even though I hated him, I found myself being aroused by his words and for a moment, I thought of pulling down my clothes and spreading my legs as he had commanded, but then reality struck me. I remembered everything. The pain, the betrayal. The reason I left. 

I couldn't believe he still has the guts to say such dirty words to me. How dared him? When he saw I wasn't responding, he tries to pull off my coat, it got me pissed up and irritated that I didn't even know when my hands landed on his Face. 

The sounds reverberated through the room, sharp and loud, continuously ringing in my ears as I drifted away from him in fear. My hands trembling, realising what I have done. 

“I'm sorry,” I apologise, kneeling down immediately knowing he could punish me in the most wicked way if he wants and nobody will stop him. “I…. I… didn't mean to.” I stutter, my breath shaking as I tried to explain. 

For a second he didn't react or respond. He was only looking at me, in a way I could never read his thoughts or expression. That silence scared me more than anything. 

Knowing just one words from him could end the life of people I love, I lean close to him and kneel down, holding his hands. 

“ How could someone like me even think of being with the Alpha again for the second time? Especially with the fact that he has a Luna, a mate. That's considered cheating and I wouldn't want to bring myself to do that when we both have someone we love and……” 

Before I could complete my words, his hands slammed against the wall, making me flinch in terror 

“What?” his voice was sharp and scary. 

“What did you just say?” he snapped at me, his hands balled into fist, his entire body trembling with Fury. 

I'm definitely sure I'm not coming out of here alive. When did he become so ruthless? Especially towards me, his old childhood best friend. 

“Madeline,” he said, his tone low but dangerous, inflicting fears in me as he runs his hands through my hair. 

“If you've forgotten, let me remind you.” He paused and his fingers tightened suddenly around my neck, pulling me so close that his hot breath brushed against me ear as I struggled to breathe because of how rough he grip my neck.  

“ You're in my territory, in my world. I will use you whenever I want, discard you whenever I'm done. you'll be my sex toy when I'm horny. Makes you my slave when I needs your loyalty, you're my property because I owned you. I'm your mate.” 

No. he couldn't be serious. 

“ I don't fucking care about your human husband. You should have known the moment you slept with me six years ago, we signed a binding contract, and now, your body, heart and soul belongs to me.” 

His words made me stopped breathing for a while. My blood went cold. My legs weakened as if its been frozen, I couldn't even breath until he finally let go of me. 

“ You've no choice, Madeline, the moment I capture you from the human world, you should know you belong to me and there's no way I would ever let go of you.” 

Fear clawed it's way around my throat as I find it hard to breathe for a while. No, this can't be true. 

But his words sounded so heavy, so threatening and so true that even the wall felt it. The way his eyes went deep, darker, and scary, it means he meant every words he had said. 

“Loe will take you to your room,” he added coldly. “ rest tonight, tomorrow, You'll do whatever it takes to treat my father here, and not in the human world.” 

He uttered, his words implementing fear inside my body. How can i do that? There's no way I can treat him without being operated. 

I wanted to argue, I wanted to tell him it was impossible without surgery, without the right tools. But I swallowed my words. There was no point. 

“You can call to hear your children voice, but except your husband. Makes up lies to them and let them know you're on a trip. The moment I suspect you're asking for help…” he smirked, his eyes fixed on mine. “I Will punish you, with sex.” 

Ewww! His words made my lips curled in distaste although I didn't let it show. But there's no way I'm giving myself to this man, so I guess I have to obey his instructions. 

“Are we clear?” 

“Yes.. yes sir.” I whispered, my voice trembling. He gave me one dangerous look before signaling me to leave. I rushed out of the room, my legs barely holding me up. 

When I come outside, loe was still waiting. 

“I hope he went easy on you.” He said quietly. making me rolled my eyes at him. “What do you mean by that ?” 

“Alpha Rowan doesn't bring a woman to his room without punishing them with sex.” Loe whispered. “Ever since his mate runs away and with his father sickness, he had changed into a sex freak. Which is the only thing that calms him now.”

Leo words made my stomach dropped and my breath hitching with panic. 

“Please,” low leaned in, lowering his voice. don't let him know I said all these words to you.” he said and I quickly nodded my head in agreement. 

“ wasn't she the one chosen for him six years ago? I thought they're still together? What happened? 

Curiosity filled my voice as I stared at him in anticipation as we walked away, probably to my room. 

Loe didn't say a words, probably because he doesn't want to talk about it. He just led me down the hallway until we reached a room door. 

“What happened in there?” He ased softly, his eyes brimming with curiosity. 

But I stayed quiet. I didn't want to talk about it. 

“ judging by the way you're walking, it seems he didn't touch you. If he had, you would have crawling out of his room instead of walking. Be glad he spare you tonight and stop asking questions that could get you killed.” 

He said clearly, his words hit me hard, filling me with dread and fright. 

I'm scared of my life. The way he describes Rowan doesn't sound like him at all.
