I blinked in disbelief as Scott apologised. He looked unsure and like he'd never said sorry in his entire lifetime. I sat upright and giggled. He cocked his brows looking at me confused.
"What's so funny?"he asked.
"Your way of apologising is awful" I grinned and he frowned the more. Maybe I could just have a little fun with this.
"Where I come from, you apologise with a little peace offering" I said trying to look serious. He snorted and then nodded.
"Fine! We'll have dinner" he said and it was my turn to frown. Who does he think he is.
"I didn't hear a question" I said.
"I thought you wanted a peace offering. Did I still have to ask?" He looked really annoying right now with a smirk on his face. His lashes was hooded with laughter. I certainly looked horrified right now.
"You still needed to ask" I snapped.
"Fine. Storm, would you have dinner with me as a little peace offering?" He asked with a smug smile and I wanted to wipe it off his face. I would've made my move but a pretty red head strolled up to us and shook hands with Scott. I must say, he reminds me of a pop singer in all that red.
"Storm, this is Kale" Scott introduced and I shook his hand but he wouldn't stop grinning at me then he nudge Scott on the shoulder. "She's pretty" he said with a wink. Have they been discussing me? I couldn't even stop my cheeks from getting all shades of pink so I looked away.
"Get out" Scott said, shoving him away. He laughed and trotted of.
"I'll see you around" Kale said to me before skipping off. I looked at Scott and he was staring at me. It's like he doesn't ever take his eyes of me .
"He seems nice" I complemented but Scott scoffed.
"He's much more annoying than me. I'll give him that" Scott said looking in the direction Kale went.
"Not true. Your more annoying"
He chuckled and then looked serious again. "So. Dinner?"

I skipped into Rose Cafe and spotted the sweet blonde mixing a dough. She looked really good at what she did. I strolled to her.
"Hey Rose"
Her face lighted up like a thousand stars when she spotted me and I felt adored. I took the bar stool in front of her. I poked my hands in the dough and then licked my finger...
"I hope I get some of these"
"You will and I hope an angry boy won't stomp in here again" she said with a wide grin. Ever since Scott came here, she's been teasing me.
"He asked me to have dinner with him" I told her and she clapped her hands like a teenager. "It's nothing Rose" I sighed with a roll of my eyes. "It's just a simple peace offering." I chuckled at my sentence.
"That's nice" She pulled off her gloves and then started shaping the dough into nuts. I helped her until we made a hundred doughs. I was given ten free dough, though I feel it was too much but I thanked her with tears in my eyes. She's been taking care of me since I got here.
"I'll make you tarts tomorrow" Rose said kissing my cheek. I nodded and then waved her goodbye. I stepped out of the cafe staring at my watch. Oh no! It's past six. I tried stopping a taxi so I could hurry to my flat when a Chevrolet camaro stopped in front of me. I didn't have to think twice before I knew it was Scott.
He came down and walked toward me with a full grin. He looked the same as always. In black. His knee length jacket was a brown one. Which was weird to see him in.
"All done?" He asked me.
"You were waiting for me?" I asked.
"Yes. Get in" he pointed to the opened door of his car. I folded my arms staring at him.
"Manners, Scott." I stated and he sighed.
"Please, get in"
It still sounded rude but I won't hold it against him. He's trying his best, I could see that. I slid into his camaro relaxing against the brown leather seat. The coolness made my skin tingle. Scott noticed it and turned the heater on.
"Sorry" he said. He was saying a lot of that recently. What's up? When I first met him, I felt like he couldn't even lift a finger not to talk of saying sorry. I wonder if he says please.
"It's ok" I shuffled in the seat as Scott drove out of the cafe lot. "So we're we going?" I asked curiously.
"No where much" he shrugged and I must say, he looks nervous. He kept rubbing behind his neck and throwing glances at me. I looked away toward the window as I admired the tall buildings outside. We passed a lot of cafe's and I wished I was on foot so I'll try them all. New york really is a nice place. A beautiful city.
"We're here" Scott announced. Finally. I turned to where he was pointing to see a large restaurant. It looked really expensive and I wasn't ready to start asking questions. After all, he was driving a Chevrolet Camaro and always had that rich bad boy look.
Scott placed his hands at my lower back making my body shiver. That affected me. He led me into the restaurant. I see he reserved a place already. He pulled my chair out and I smiled at him before seating.
I don't know what made me pick the menu up but when I did, I gulped. "Nice place" I choked out. Scott stared at me. "It's too expensive" I whispered to him. "
"Let me handle that" Scott picked up his own menu and glared at the book unaffected. If you ask me, I'll say he wasn't pleased with the food on the menu.
"I'm not letting you pay for my dinner"I told him. I pushed the menu aside before I couldn't see anything else but the large writings of expensive food.
"This is a peace offering. Storm" he said my name slowly and making it sound sexy. He's the first to call me Storm since I came here. The rest just call me Stormy.
"Doesn't mean I shouldn't try to be decent too" I shrugged
"I'm paying"he said finally and placed his menu down. The nerve! I considered standing up and walking out but the foods on the menu looked so good I want to try them all.
"Look I'm not used to all this alright"he was rubbing behind his neck again.
I scoffed. "So you don't have a girlfriend you take out?"
"I don't do romance" he said. I don't know why but I felt disappointed. I shrugged and picked up my menu again. Fine! He'll pay. But if he doesn't do romance what does he do anyway?
Scott was always asking a lot about myself but if I asked about him, he just seemed to avoid the questions. I finished up my glass of water. We were having dessert now. I must say, the food is good. I'd come here often but I can't afford it."So you just spend your free time studying recipes" Scott said. He was twirling his cup in his hand as if thinking."Yeah. I love to cook""Well how about tomorrow, you make something for me" he said. I stared at him long and hard."What?""I'm sure you'll love my kitchen" he grinned. He does speak of having all the ingredients I might need. But what's in this for him. I narrowed my eyes at him."Why would I cook for you?""Because you love cooking" he shrugged. He does have a point."I know but what's in it for you?""I get to eat your food" he smiled. "You must be a great cook"
Religious class was the last class I had for the day. No yoga today. I dropped at the cafe looking around for David. I didn't spot him at class. We always seat together. I saw him seating at our usual corner and walked up to him."I didn't see you in class" I took the seat next to him."Yeah....I got stuck up at home" he said lowly. There was an off tone to his voice but I didn't want to push it. David always told me when something was wrong."Oh...alright. are you ok?"He nodded and then stared at me. "Have you seen Scott today?" He surprise me by asking. I blinked. "Sorry....I just thought you guys were close""We're..... friends" I told him. David nodded."I haven't seen him today" I answered truthfully. We were supposed to hang out this evening but he hasn't even showed up. I haven't seen him since that night he saw me and David together. And that's two days ago.
Scott's idea of him not being a romantic person is hideous because I think he is. We're seating in his car trunk. It was too late to stop by anywhere for lunch so Rose helped package some stuffs from her show glass. Including Knishes. And Scott loved that very much. Even though he didn't say it."Where did you get candles from?" I asked as Scott lit the last candle with a lighter."I guess I always had it" he shrugged."Why? To light your car up in the night?" I chuckled making Scott roll his eyes."Very funny""Oh lighten up." I said and laughed at my own joke.He placed the last lighted candle on the little wood we got from Rose. He laid blankets in his trunk and we sat in while eating sugar coated junks and watching the moonlight."This is very nice" I said. "Romantic" I teased and Scott snorted."Lame" he said and i hit his sh
Scott pulled me out of the water until we were back in his trunk again. I thought I blanked out. I literally swallowed a lot of water through my nose. Scott removed the blanket from the floor of the trunk."Take your shirt off" he said. I know this is not the time to argue so I pulled the wet material up and over my head. Scott's eyes blazed on my skin before he wrapped me up in the blanket. I touched my cheeks sure they were flushing red. I was putting on a cotton bra. Not so attractive. But Scott didn't call me out on it. I was expecting him to say something sarcastic or rude but he was too busy in trying to keep me warm.If I did know better, I'd say his eyes flickered over my body appreciatively."Why'd you jump into the water like that" Scott scolded."You tickled me. Your not that innocent yourself"He frowned "Don't start with me"I rolled my eyes at him. S
I don't have classes today because it's Saturday but I went to grab some books from the library anyway. I'm working on an assignment. Since I was in school, I just stopped by that cafe to grab coffee. Usually, it's me and David but he's not here now. I wasn't so surprised to see few students were at the cafe but I smiled when a familiar red head waved at me.Kale. Scott's friend from the other day. He jogged up to me leaving his bunch of friends. Including a sassy looking blonde who kept sizing me up. What the hell? She's pretty and all that but I don't see the chances of me and her becoming friends."Stormy. Been a while" he surprisingly hugged me but I didn't flinch. I guess it's common among college students. Shaking seems old fashioned. I shrugged away with a smile."Nice to see here. You almost never come here""Yeah...this place is crap" he snorted and I chuckled.
I tried on the last gown there was to try. I and Rose picked a lot. All of different colours and sizes. All were cute and pretty but this white one really caught my eyes. I stared at myself in the mirror. it has a lace neck, it's not cut too low but sure to show some of my chest. It was short to my knee and flay like a ballet gown. Definitely a garden party dress.. I smiled as i walked out and Rose had that same expression I had on my face on her. This is it!"Your so getting that dress" Rose chimed. While I showered getting ready for Scott to pick me, Rose offered to help make pancakes. I rolled my hair into a towel and tied one round my chest as I joined Rose in the kitchen."Here's your pancake" she placed two huge pancakes on my plate and dropped a tiny one for Hailey."Thanks for making it" I said."No deal. I was hungry for one anyway" Rose dropped the last of the c
Storm POV"You don't like it?" I asked him. He seemed to be struggling with the right word to say and then he scratched behind his head. A nervous habit. I narrowed my eyes. I thought he'd like the gown."It's so....white" he said and smiled. What does that even mean. I moved out of the way so he could enter. And just like that, my mood had changed instantly. Scot swears!"Fuck! Storm you look lovely. I just didn't know what to say" he says but his eyes are so unsure. What's up with him."Let's just go to the party" I told him and grabbed my purse from my counter. The black little thing seemed to go well with my heels."Are you sure? Cause we can stay if you want""Scott!" I scold. He folds his arm leaning against the wall watching me as I paraded round the house. Not like there was anything I was doing, I just want everything to be perfect.
David led me to where a tall slim woman with blonde hair stood. I suppose she's David's mom. They had the same hair colour, only hers were darker blonde. Her eyes were light brown like her sons. He went and kissed her cheek."Mom...this is Storm" he said. I pushed my hand out to shake the woman. her smile was heart warming. Her hands were soft and tender. She smiled at me."Nice to meet you dear. David has told me a lot about you" she huffs and I grin."Good things I hope" I smiled. David winked at me and I chuckled. Scott came up behind me and handed me a glass of what I assume is strawberry drink. I rolled my eyes at him. Everyone else gets wine."Scott honey. I'm glad you came" Davids mom hugged Scott but he just stood there like a statue. The good thing is the woman still kept hugging him and showing him love. David pulled me aside."I got to show you my study room" he said with smiles
