The Masked Monster

When I woke up, it was eerily quiet. It was so quiet that I lay on the hard and cold surface and decided not to open my eyes.

I could feel something drying on the left side of my face. I stayed as rigid as I could be until I was ready to open my eyes.

When I did, I saw nothing. Yes, nothing. There was no light. There was darkness everywhere. I tried to lift my hands to my face but I froze when I heard the rattle of chains.

It was then that I realized that I was chained to the ground. Even with my heightened senses I couldn't see anything. I tried getting the chains of but I couldn't.

As hot tears of fear and frustration rolled down my face I tried to contact Jake. I groaned in pain as I was met with a sharp pain in my head.

Someone was blocking the link. A very powerful someone. There was no need in trying. I had to save my energy or what was left of it since I hadn't fed.
