Chapter 53

After crying for a good few hours I decided to get up and look for my son.

I walked into the bedroom again and looked around. I scanned to room, trying to search for anything out of the normal.

"Arthur?" I called.

The bedroom was empty still.

I went to the bathroom. I looked at the toilet in its aging process, the shower I hadn't washed in two weeks and the basin with a leaking tap. Arthur wasn't there.

I limped to the kitchen. I searched his usual hiding places, a few cabinets, next to the fridge and under the sink. He wasn't playing hide-and-seek.

I again looked at the sheet of paper I found, I analysed the handwriting. It looked familiar. I dug in my bra and took out the money Jason gave me. I count it and thought of a plan. 

I took deep breaths to pull myself together before I went to get changed. I looked in between my clothing for a box. I opened it and took out all the cash, showing it in my pocket. I slo
