Eli’s POV

At first, there was nothing... no pain, no coldness and no fear.

Just… quiet. The kind of quiet that didn’t suffocate... it held you, cradled you, as if the world had been folded into a single, soft breath.

For a moment I thought this was what dying felt like... this afterlife feels like... so pure and peaceful.

“ Eli. ”

The voice came again, soft and warm, wrapping around me like something I had never known but somehow missed. My eyelashes fluttered open.

Light greeted me... but not

Eli’s POVAt first, there was nothing... no pain, no coldness and no fear.Just… quiet. The kind of quiet that didn’t suffocate... it held you, cradled you, as if the world had been folded into a single, soft breath. For a moment I thought this was what dying felt like... this afterlife feels like... so pure and peaceful.“ Eli. ” The voice came again, soft and warm, wrapping around me like something I had never known but somehow missed. My eyelashes fluttered open.Light greeted me... but not the harsh kind. It was gentle, silver, and alive. I inhaled sharply, my body tensing expecting exploding pain all over, but there was no pain. No bleeding wounds, no burning flesh and no spilling blood.“What…?” My voice came out hoarse, confused. I sat up slowly... and froze. This wasn’t the darkness of the forest. This wasn’t anywhere in the realm where I ram away from.Beneath me was a bed softer than anything I had ever touched, draped in flowing white silk that shimmered like liquid light.

  • Cherish Me, Daddy   CHAPTER 130: RAN AWAY

LUCEN'S POV“…No.” The word left my mouth like a fracture... sharp, hollow, and already too late to mean anything. For a moment, I just stood there, frozen in the doorway, staring at the scene as if my mind refused to process it. The bed... No, Eli’s bed, was a mess of twisted sheets and rope. The guard lay there half-naked, bound tightly to the bedpost, his chest rising and falling in shallow, uneven breaths.Eli was really gone. Something inside my chest caved in.“Alpha…” Drew’s voice was cautious behind me, but I barely heard him.I moved so fast that I didn't know I did it instinctively because in two long strides, I reached the bed and grabbed the guard by his neck, yanking him up slightly despite his dead weight. My voice dropped into something cold… something lethal. He didn't stir so I dropped him down again.“Wake him up.” I ordered coldly to Drew.Drew didn’t question me. He moved to the bedside table, grabbed a glass of water, and without hesitation...Splash.The water h

  • Cherish Me, Daddy   CHAPTER 129: SEVERED BOND

LUCEN'S POVThe grand ballroom felt suffocating, a gilded cage designed to masquerade as a celebration. I stood at the altar, dressed in ceremonial black, the fabric stiff and heavy against my skin, mirroring the weight of a hundred watching eyes pressing into me like chains. Above, the crystal chandeliers cast a golden, mocking glow over polished marble floors, the place is filled with faces of neighboring pack leaders who smiled with teeth that looked too much like knives.Guests from across the territories filled the hall, their murmurs blending into a low, expectant hum. It was the sound of politics, of alliances being cemented in the blood of tradition. It sounded distant, hollow, and utterly wretched. My gaze swept across the room, not truly seeing any of them. I wasn’t looking for allies; I wasn’t looking for their hollow approval.I was looking for someone who wasn’t there. Eli.My jaw tightened, a tremor of suppressed fury vibrating through my neck. He should have been here

  • Cherish Me, Daddy   CHAPTER 128: SON?

ELI'S POVThe thing that emerged from the brush was not a wolf... at least not one that belonged in the civilized, manicured territories of the Blackthorne pack.It was a mass of matted, grey-black fur, its frame skeletal and twisted, eyes glowing with a feral, milky luminescence that spoke of starvation and madness. It was a Rogue... a wolf who had lost their human anchor, a creature consumed by the very darkness I had just tried to flee.I backed away, my hands clawing at the dirt, but my body felt like it was made of lead. The rejection had stripped me of everything. Noom was curled somewhere deep inside me, trembling, silent... like even he didn’t have the strength to fight anymore. Without Lucen’s bond… I felt exposed. Fragile. Like a dying flame in the middle of a storm.“Go away,” I whispered, my voice cracking against my throat. The beast didn't listen. It let out a sound—a cross between a whimper and a jagged growl—and lunged."RAWWWR”I rolled to the side, the motion teari

  • Cherish Me, Daddy   CHAPTER 127: ESCAPE

ELI'S POVWhen I noticed there was only one guard outside my door... the younger one, an alpha-sympathizer who had always looked at me with pity... something shifted in me. A chance. A risk. I stood slowly, ignoring the black spots dancing in my vision and the agonizing dizziness that threatened to pull me back to the floor. I walked toward the door, my movements fluid and unnatural.I knocked. A soft, pathetic sound.“Can you… help me?” I called softly, letting my voice tremble just enough to tug at his conscience. There was hesitation. I heard him shift his weight. Then the door clicked open. The guard stepped in, eyes darting to my pale face, looking cautious. “What do you need, Mr. Ashcroft? You want food?.”I didn't answer. instead, I released my pheromones. Not the usual soft, inviting scent I’d cultivated for my Alpha, but a concentrated blast of distress... heavy, cloying, overwhelming. Heat. His eyes widened instantly. His jaw went slack, his resistance shattering under the s

  • Cherish Me, Daddy   CHAPTER 126: SET HIM FREE

ELI'S POVI didn’t notice when my breathing turned uneven or when my fingers started trembling against the glass. One moment I was just staring… the next, I couldn’t look away. From my window, I could see everything. The manicured lawns of the Blackthorne estate stretched wide beneath the afternoon light, pristine and untouched... just like they always were before any grand event. But today, it was different. Staff moved everywhere, carrying arrangements, adjusting decorations, rushing in coordinated chaos. White drapes were being hung along the balcony railings. Gold fixtures were polished until they gleamed. The grand ballroom doors stood open, revealing chandeliers already lit even though the sun hadn’t fully set yet.It was being prepared… for a marking ceremony. For their marking ceremony... Lucen and Caden.“…so it’s really happening,” I whispered, my voice barely audible even to myself.Elder Mara must have pushed for it to be held in the ballroom. It was the easiest place to p
