ログインFlora's POV
It had been two weeks since Alora joined our pack, and the whole pack seemed to revolve around her now. But that wasn’t what bothered me. What really got under my skin were the comparisons people started to make between us.
Alora was well-mannered and softhearted, traits that seemed to endear her to everyone. Even Milani couldn’t stop singing her praises.
I wasn’t jealous. Truly, I was happy for her. She was finally getting the care and attention she had missed out on for so long.
But my father’s behavior toward me had shifted, and that hurt. Before Alora’s arrival, I had been the apple of his eye, his cherished daughter. Now, it was as if I no longer existed. He ignored my words, my presence, as though I had never been his beloved child.
And Zack... Zack had grown distant. I didn’t know what had changed, but these past few weeks, he seemed so far away.
I had returned to my room earlier than usual after dinner because I wanted to do something to entice Zack, to remind him of the bond we shared. Maybe tonight, we could rekindle what felt lost. So I took a long, soothing shower, then slipped into the perfect nightgown.
When I stepped out of the bathroom, a blush crept across my cheeks as I looked at Zack sitting on the bed, scrolling through his phone.
Since our engagement, my father had allowed us to share the same bedroom, a decision that had once filled me with excitement.
I walked toward the bed, drying my hair with a towel. Sitting on the opposite side, I felt Zack’s attention shift. He lowered his phone, his gaze moving to my wet hair and then down to my nightgown.
Placing his phone on the nightstand, he moved closer to me. My heart raced as his hand cupped my cheek, his thumb brushing gently against my skin.
He leaned in and kissed my cheek before trailing soft kisses down my neck. “You planned to seduce me, didn’t you?” he teased against my skin.
I bit my lip, pushing gently against his chest.
“What?” he asked, his tone confused.
I met his eyes, hesitating before speaking. “Why have you been so distant lately? Has someone else captured your attention?”
My question seemed to take him by surprise. His expression darkened, a bitter look crossing his face as he pulled away. “What are you asking, Flora?”
Guilt washed over me as I saw the hurt in his eyes. I reached for his hands, but he pushed mine away. The rejection stung.
Afraid of losing him, I wrapped my arms around him, holding him tightly. “I’m sorry,” I whispered. “But please, promise me you won’t fall in love with someone else.”
He stiffened at my words, and I pulled back to look at him.
He didn’t reply. Instead, he pushed me gently onto the mattress and kissed me.
I melted into the kiss, letting his touch erase my fears. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I pulled him closer.
It had been so long since we’d been this intimate.
As if sensing my need, Zack began unbuttoning his shirt. His hands moved to the ribbon of my nightgown, tugging at it with deliberate slowness.
I closed my eyes, surrendering to him.
But just as he slipped the nightgown off my shoulders, his phone rang, its loud trill shattering the moment.
Zack’s attention shifting to the nightstand. With a sigh, he moved away and grabbed his phone. His brow furrowed while he read the screen.
“What is it?” I asked, sitting up.
He glanced at me apologetically. “Sorry, dear. There’s an emergency.”
Disappointment settled in my chest, but I nodded. “Okay.”
Zack reached out, brushing a hand over my cheek. “I’ll be back as soon as it’s handled. I promise.”
I forced a smile, watching as he left the room.
Alone in bed, my thoughts drifted back to the beginning of our relationship. I was ten years old when I got lost at the pack’s border. Rogues had chased me, injuring me badly. I’d ended up in a coma, and when I woke, Zack was there by my side.
He had saved me.
In that moment, I had fallen for him completely.
I didn’t know how long I lay there, waiting for Zack to return, before sleep finally claimed me.

The next morning, the sound of the door closing woke me. I blinked, looking around the empty room. The faint sound of the shower running made me smile.
“Zack’s back,” I murmured, stretching lazily.
I yawned and closed my eyes again, intending to sleep a little longer. But Zack’s phone buzzed, pulling my attention to the bedside table.
I sat up, glancing at the phone where it lay charging. Normally, I wouldn’t have checked it, but a nagging feeling gnawed at me. Taking a deep breath, I picked up the phone. I tried to unlock it, but the screen flashed: “Password Incorrect.”
A sinking feeling settled in my chest. Zack had changed his password. Before I could put the phone down, a message from Alora appeared on the screen. My heart stopped as I read it: “She didn’t find out, did she?”
Lifaya's face turned red in embarrassment. She got mad and moved toward them quickly. She yanked Aaron's arm, causing his grip to loosen around Flora's waist.Flora hurriedly moved back. Lifaya glared at Flora, then turned to Aaron."Alpha, don't you realize who this woman is? She is the one who cheated you, your law, and your trust."Flora frowned at her. "Is that so?"Lifaya ignored Flora as if she did not want to pick up a fight with her. Flora understood the reason. The smirk returned to her face. It was because she was afraid of the Lycan King, and the Lycan King was with her."Lifaya," Aaron muttered, glaring at her."What? Why are you looking at me like this? You yourself said she is a whore. You said she is whoring with King Oliver. You said if she begged you to take her back, you would smash her head on the ground rather than accept her. Now why are you even coming into her seduction skills?"Lifaya huffed after blabbering. She wanted Flora to know what Aaron really felt abou
Aaron froze at Flora's words. His eyes slightly moved on her. He stared at her like he was watching her soul directly.Flora didn't move; she didn't feel any nervousness. Because it was her wolf who took over her. She was calm. The smirk remained on her lips. It was mocking him."What happened? You are shocked that I learned about it, Mate?" she asked, tilting her head. Her smirk deepened.Aaron slowly let go of her. She glanced at her hand and then returned her gaze to him. She scoffed at him."What a coward, Alpha King! Can't even confront his own mate?"Her every word cut through Aaron's chest like arrows. However, he didn't react. He took a step back from her.His eyes betrayed him. But his face was indifferent, as if he were not surprised at all."So you finally realize it?" he said in a calm tone.Flora let out a chuckle. "Finally? You expected me to never find out about it, Alpha King, Aaron Elliot."Her voice came out a little harsh. Her tone was deep and not fragile like how
Flora tightened her jaw, staring at the man. He was the same man who cheated on her, made her his slave, and then threw her like a piece of dust.He only used her. He was worse than her ex-boyfriend. Even in less time, she loved him the most, more than she loved Zack. But in return, she got a ruthless betrayal from him. He blackmailed her, making her believe that she was a murderer when the man she had hit was actually alive. She could never forgive this man. In her eyes only the fire of revenge burnt silently.Averting her gaze from Aaron, she tried to ignore him and started walking ahead. When she was about to walk past him, a hand came to grab her wrist.Flora felt a shiver in her skin. It felt like the sting of an electric shock. She immediately tried to break free from her hand."Leave," she muttered.Aaron didn't let go of her. His grip tightened around her wrist. It was so tight that if he pressed a little more, it could crack her bone.Flora turned her head to him. She clenche
Lifaya was shocked. Her eyes widened when everyone clapped for Flora. She could not just believe in her ears.'What is going on? How can she get that precious award?' she thought, slowly turning her head to look at Flora.Unlike her, Flora was still sitting on her chair. She was calm and composed, as if she were not desperate at all for any award.Beside Flora, King Oliver clapped for her. He leaned in to her and whispered something. Flora only smiled lightly at his words.Lifaya's face turned pale. She looked away from them. Her eyes fell on the people who were staring at her.Lifaya's cheeks turned red when she realized she was standing near the stage. She made a fool of herself. She was embarrassed and insulted. She turned around and moved back to her seat. She sat down and clapped her hands forcedly for Flora to show others that she was also happy for her.Meanwhile,King Aaron's eyes were on Flora. His gaze darkened when he saw how King Oliver got close to her ear and spoke. He t
The gala event showcased a collection of models, adorning in exquisite fashion.Flora was sitting with Oliver. Her eyes were fixed on the stage. But her mind was somewhere else.Aaron and Lifaya sat just two tables away from them. She could feel Aaron's gaze on her from behind. She ignored it completely and tried to focus on the stage."Now it's the time for the front runner, the face of the gala night," the host said.Lifaya held her breath. She knew recently Flora really got a high reputation in the modeling industry. So she was worried that Flora would get the title of front runner on the gala night. She closed her eyes, her fingers crossed. Aaron turned to Lifaya. "Is it really important to you? What is there to mourn about?" he asked with a frown.Lifaya opened her eyes and looked at Aaron. She leaned toward him and whispered to him, "This is an important place for any model. If I lose this position, people will laugh at me. I have been the front runner for the last few years."A
Aaron's eyes flashed red for a moment as soon as he looked at the woman next to King Oliver. His breath was hitched by her beauty. His heart started to beat faster as he was seeing her after a year. One year...It was hard to pass, and each day was tough for him. However, the woman was a traitor who betrayed him and flew away with his enemy. He knew she had become a model. Everyone knew about her. Yet still, his eyes could not move from her face. He did not shift his eyes to her dress as his orbs darkened at her face."Thank you for introducing me, my king," Flora spoke to Oliver with a soft voice. Then she looked at the man standing in front of her. Her reaction was different. She would be lying if she said she didn't feel scared inside when she met his gaze. The cold eyes, the dark orbs, the fierce face, and the dark aura. He was still the same, the ruthless Alpha King! Her wolf growled inside her, almost taking over her. She clenched her jaw, caged her wolf, and looked into Aaron's
Aron turned his head in my direction when he heard Oliver's voice. As soon as his gaze fell on me with Oliver, his calm expression changed. His gaze darkened. I could see a glint of surprise in his eyes. He looked stunned. On the other hand, Lifaya was shocked. She looked like she saw a ghost with
A frown enveloped his face. A thin lip appeared between his brows. But he was silent.I gulped. "What? Are you mad that I talked about your king like that?"He blinked, looking away from me. "The person you don't know… How can you hate him?""That's why I am here. I want to know about him. Don't as
I was taken aback when I heard Lifaya's voice. What was she doing with Aron? What did she mean by date? Were he and Aron on a date?I recalled how Aron started behaving coldly with me when she returned. Did he want to date her again?I felt a strike on my heart. "W-Where is he?" I asked Lifaya. She
Days passed as Aron became busy again. I tried to talk to him about the East Hallow Pack. He said he would tell me when he would plan to have a meeting with my old pack, and right now he was busy handling the Lycans. His absence was eating me inside, and I was bored in the pack house. It was an eve
