LOGINFlora's POV
It had been two weeks since Alora joined our pack, and the whole pack seemed to revolve around her now. But that wasn’t what bothered me. What really got under my skin were the comparisons people started to make between us.
Alora was well-mannered and softhearted, traits that seemed to endear her to everyone. Even Milani couldn’t stop singing her praises.
I wasn’t jealous. Truly, I was happy for her. She was finally getting the care and attention she had missed out on for so long.
But my father’s behavior toward me had shifted, and that hurt. Before Alora’s arrival, I had been the apple of his eye, his cherished daughter. Now, it was as if I no longer existed. He ignored my words, my presence, as though I had never been his beloved child.
And Zack... Zack had grown distant. I didn’t know what had changed, but these past few weeks, he seemed so far away.
I had returned to my room earlier than usual after dinner because I wanted to do something to entice Zack, to remind him of the bond we shared. Maybe tonight, we could rekindle what felt lost. So I took a long, soothing shower, then slipped into the perfect nightgown.
When I stepped out of the bathroom, a blush crept across my cheeks as I looked at Zack sitting on the bed, scrolling through his phone.
Since our engagement, my father had allowed us to share the same bedroom, a decision that had once filled me with excitement.
I walked toward the bed, drying my hair with a towel. Sitting on the opposite side, I felt Zack’s attention shift. He lowered his phone, his gaze moving to my wet hair and then down to my nightgown.
Placing his phone on the nightstand, he moved closer to me. My heart raced as his hand cupped my cheek, his thumb brushing gently against my skin.
He leaned in and kissed my cheek before trailing soft kisses down my neck. “You planned to seduce me, didn’t you?” he teased against my skin.
I bit my lip, pushing gently against his chest.
“What?” he asked, his tone confused.
I met his eyes, hesitating before speaking. “Why have you been so distant lately? Has someone else captured your attention?”
My question seemed to take him by surprise. His expression darkened, a bitter look crossing his face as he pulled away. “What are you asking, Flora?”
Guilt washed over me as I saw the hurt in his eyes. I reached for his hands, but he pushed mine away. The rejection stung.
Afraid of losing him, I wrapped my arms around him, holding him tightly. “I’m sorry,” I whispered. “But please, promise me you won’t fall in love with someone else.”
He stiffened at my words, and I pulled back to look at him.
He didn’t reply. Instead, he pushed me gently onto the mattress and kissed me.
I melted into the kiss, letting his touch erase my fears. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I pulled him closer.
It had been so long since we’d been this intimate.
As if sensing my need, Zack began unbuttoning his shirt. His hands moved to the ribbon of my nightgown, tugging at it with deliberate slowness.
I closed my eyes, surrendering to him.
But just as he slipped the nightgown off my shoulders, his phone rang, its loud trill shattering the moment.
Zack’s attention shifting to the nightstand. With a sigh, he moved away and grabbed his phone. His brow furrowed while he read the screen.
“What is it?” I asked, sitting up.
He glanced at me apologetically. “Sorry, dear. There’s an emergency.”
Disappointment settled in my chest, but I nodded. “Okay.”
Zack reached out, brushing a hand over my cheek. “I’ll be back as soon as it’s handled. I promise.”
I forced a smile, watching as he left the room.
Alone in bed, my thoughts drifted back to the beginning of our relationship. I was ten years old when I got lost at the pack’s border. Rogues had chased me, injuring me badly. I’d ended up in a coma, and when I woke, Zack was there by my side.
He had saved me.
In that moment, I had fallen for him completely.
I didn’t know how long I lay there, waiting for Zack to return, before sleep finally claimed me.

The next morning, the sound of the door closing woke me. I blinked, looking around the empty room. The faint sound of the shower running made me smile.
“Zack’s back,” I murmured, stretching lazily.
I yawned and closed my eyes again, intending to sleep a little longer. But Zack’s phone buzzed, pulling my attention to the bedside table.
I sat up, glancing at the phone where it lay charging. Normally, I wouldn’t have checked it, but a nagging feeling gnawed at me. Taking a deep breath, I picked up the phone. I tried to unlock it, but the screen flashed: “Password Incorrect.”
A sinking feeling settled in my chest. Zack had changed his password. Before I could put the phone down, a message from Alora appeared on the screen. My heart stopped as I read it: “She didn’t find out, did she?”
Flora couldn't help but roll her eyes. She moved from Elma and gave her a look of disbelief."Why fall for a ruthless man? You are a soft flower. If he ever got a chance, he would have pulled out all the petals of yours and dried your soul."Elma frowned at her, not understanding her deep words.Flora took a deep breath and patted her shoulder. "It's okay. Sometimes we fall for the wrong person. But one day, you will get the right guy for yourself."Elma held her hand on her shoulder and patted the back of it. "Just like you got King Oliver? He is so in love with you, Flora. He wants to marry you and is waiting for your date. Which King will do that? You are really lucky to have him."Hearing her words, Flora felt touched. She turned her head and looked at Oliver. With a calm face, he was talking about a serious deal. The Alpha and Luna were very impressed by how simply he was explaining it.Flora smiled at him. She was really lucky. She had felt that way every single day over the pas
Everyone was shocked upon hearing Oliver. Flora froze, not moving her head to look at Oliver. Her eyes were on the floor. Her brows furrowed. She was unmoved with thoughts.Aaron's eyes darkened. His jaw clenched as he narrowed his eyes. His eyes shifted from Oliver and moved to Flora. He was waiting for her to refuse whatever nonsense Oliver was spilling out of his mouth. He was not surprised when he found her silent. He had already seen her with Oliver in the room. His heart started pounding with anger, his eyes flashed red for a moment.Lifaya put her hand on his shoulder and leaned toward his ear. "Alpha, calm down. She's just a slave for you."Aaron tightened his fists while staring at the woman who flew from his realm one year ago. Today, she got so much courage that she let another man call her his future wife.Alpha Tomson was quiet. He was in an uncomfortable position to speak. His face turned pale. All the colors dried and he looked really unpleasant. The reason why he spent
Flora stared at the car. She couldn't hide the unknown fear on her face. She clearly remembered what Aaron said at the gala party. He said he would leave today. He even said not to bother inviting him. Then why was he here?A hand came to wrap around her waist, causing her to come out of her thoughts."Why do you look like you are on edge? Are you scared that he would take you away from me?"Flora looked at Oliver and took a deep breath. Her eyes turned cold as she replied,"I can't be a scared cat, can I?""Well, you're right. You can't. You are here to cut all ties, not to knot," he replied in an alarming tone. She caught the warning in his words. "Let's go inside. Alpha Tomson must be waiting for us.""Hmm."Holding Flora's waist, Oliver approached the front gate. The guards bowed to him as soon as they reached the gate."Your Majesty!"Alpha Tomson greeted Oliver as soon as he entered the pack house with Flora. The packhouse was made of wooden floors. The Alpha of the pack didn't
Flora and Oliver both were invited to the pack house. Alpha Tomson planned a small get-together for them to welcome them in the Star Moon Pack.Flora put on a long cotton dress. It had a full-sleeved and perfectly covered dress. It was a get-together where she did not have to show her model clothing. She knew where to show professionalism and where to show modesty in clothing. She glanced at the man who emerged from the room in a sapphire blue tuxedo. He was fixing cufflinks when his eyes fell on her. He raised a brow. "Isn't it too simple?"Freya got up from the couch and looked down at her cotton dress. She returned her gaze to him and smiled."No way! I bought this a few months ago from the most expensive branded showroom of our pack. Maybe it's not revealing, but it's perfect, Oliver."Oliver fixed his gaze at her dress for a moment as if he were giving it a thought.'People think I am his woman. Is this why he is always careful about my dresses when I am with him?' she thought, f
The dining hall was silent.People there heard what Flora said to Beta Zack. But they couldn't hear what Flora said while looking at King Aaron. Because her voice was too low to be audible to others. However, Aaron and Zack heard her clearly.Zack thought those words were for him.He blinked, staring at the woman before him. She used to love him daringly. Even after learning that he was with Alora, she wanted to be with him. How did her love fade away? The woman who used to be so fragile in nature had changed into a fierce woman! The guilt of losing her clenched his heart. He was really in love with her and had a good relationship with her.But she was evil in heart and always hurt Alora. Alora was soft and was caring to him that time. The main fact was Flora was adopted while Alora was the biological daughter of Alpha Joshua. So he chose Alora, the real heiress of the pack, over the adopted daughter who had no future in the throne.Zack's hand moved from his cheek when Flora walked p
Flora noticed a spark of anger in Aaron's eyes. His tone mocked her, reminding her of her past, which he himself witnessed.Flora remembered the night of the annual ball. That night her father betrayed her by announcing Zack's engagement to Alora. That night everyone laughed at her, accused her, and called her a whore for being seen with another man in the hotel. That man was him... the Alpha of Alphas, Alpha King Aaron. That was the first time she felt her wolf pulling toward him. But never in her imagination did she think she was the second chance mate of the Alpha King.Flora's lips curled into a mocking smile. "King Aaron, that shouldn't matter to you."For him, she was his second mate, but for her... he was her first mate, her fated mate. He knew everything from the beginning; that was the reason he helped her and made her his slave. Never once did he let her know about the truth. It was her fate that she went to the Lycan Kingdom; her wolf found back her abilities and revealed t
I was taken aback when I heard Lifaya's voice. What was she doing with Aron? What did she mean by date? Were he and Aron on a date?I recalled how Aron started behaving coldly with me when she returned. Did he want to date her again?I felt a strike on my heart. "W-Where is he?" I asked Lifaya. She
I lowered my head, feeling tears flickering in my eyes. 'I came here and tried to start a new life. I fell in love again and wanted to become happy. But my ill fate followed me here too.' I nodded my head and looked at me. "I will help you with names." Aron's frown ceased. He stared at me for a w
I was stunned. I got up from the couch and said,"75% of company shares!"I could not just believe it. My adoptive father was a good businessman. I had been with him for a long time. I always wanted to be like him, a responsible and great businessman. Then what was the cause for him to take such a
He was right. He helped me and saved me from that crazy woman. But I did not know why I was mad at him. Perhaps because he let another woman come between us. How could I forget about last night?"Thanks for saving my life," I murmured. The door opened, and Samuel walked into the room while holding
