'Boss?' I was confused as I entered the VIP cabin.

As soon as I stepped in, I noticed a man in a suit standing near the bed, blocking the man sitting on the bed.

"You are not attending the meeting because of your health; he is angry and asking us to leave the pack," the man in the suit said. I could not see his face since he was turning to the man on the bed.

"Did you tell anyone about my accident?" Another voice spoke.

"No–" the man in the suit was about to speak further, but he paused and turned around.

He was a young man. His hand folded behind behind his back professionally.

Seeing me, he was stunned. "Who are you? How did you come in?" he asked with a frown.

I cleared my throat as I could see he was getting mad. I wondered if he was the man's assistant because he looked overprotective.

"Calm down, Porter," the man behind him said.

I tilted my head, trying to peek at the man. Was he in such a good condition that he could speak now?

"But Your—"

The man raised his hand to stop the m

I felt like I could not breathe. It was as if she indeed intended to kill me today. I saw her eyes glow brown. She looked the fiercest.I was shocked. How come a woman is so dangerous?I almost forgot that she was a Lycan. Her strength was telling me that she had the power to kill Alphas; I was just a mere omega. My wolf whined inside me, responding vulnerably.I grabbed Lifaya's wrist and patted it. "Let go."But she was stubborn not to release me. I felt my body was getting numb.My eyes rolled, losing breath. I could hear my own loud heartbeat as everything turned silent around me.Suddenly the door opened."What are you doing?"A familiar voice reached my ears. But I had no strength to turn my head to look at the person.Like a cold air rush toward me, I felt Lifaya move away from me.A gush of air entered my mouth, and I started coughing. I patted my chest, trying to stop coughing.I saw someone holding a glass of water in front of me while patting my back."Miss Flora, drink som

"Lycan king?" I murmured, overhearing their conversation.I walked toward the reception area and looked at the receptionist. She noticed me and gave me a polite smile."Alpha is still in the meeting, Miss."I gazed at her with a frown. "Can you tell me about what others are gossiping about?"She was stunned. "What are they gossiping about?" she asked, glancing at the employees who were talking.I placed my hands on the desk and replied,"They were talking about the Lycan King not attending the meetings, so Alpha's mood is off."She was taken aback. She glanced at the employees and murmured, "They must be out of their minds.""I asked you something," I said, giving her a curious look. She chuckled awkwardly and replied, "They must be talking about two meetings that are set for the Lycans since they wanted it. But the Lycan king himself didn't come to attend the meeting. Alpha is mad. Rumor has it that the Lycan king is avoiding Alpha and not attending any of his secretary's calls."My

As if a bucket of cold water fell over me, I felt freezy. I glanced around, trying to see if his men were following me."How do you know I am in the pack hospital?" I asked, perplexed."What are you doing there?" he asked again."I-I was not feeling well, so I thought I needed to check up on my body," I said, making an excuse. There was no way I would tell him that I had helped a Lycan and broken his pack hospital's rules to save that man.Aron was quiet for a moment, and then I felt his voice turn softer."What happened to you?"His soft tone melted my heart. I leaned my back against a wall and closed my eyes. His voice tingled my ear. I was blissed."Feeling weak, so...""What did the doctor say?"My eyes flung open. "T-The doctor said I am fine. It's because I was spending too much of my time on training.""Then you are not allowed to go to the training hall for one week."My eyes widened. "Wait, what? No way. I am fine, I can—""I'm done talking about it."I sighed and replied, "O

I was taken aback when he asked me the question. My lips parted, and I was about to tell him that I had.But then the reality gave me a taste of sorrow.Aron was not my boyfriend. He never asked me to become his girlfriend. It was true that I was his woman, but he never proposed to me.Thinking about him with Lifaya, I closed my eyes and replied,"No, I don't.""Is that so?" he asked.I opened my eyes and looked at him. His gaze was intriguing my inner thoughts. He looked amazed hearing me."I-I have someone in my life though," I murmured.Sometimes talking with strangers gives you an opportunity to relieve your pain. His brows lifted up. He shifted his gaze to my phone, which I was holding tightly, and then asked,"Was that person calling you?"I lowered my head and saw my phone was not ringing anymore. I sighed and nodded my head in response. He turned his head away from me. His gaze returned outside the window.I bit my bottom lip, not knowing what the silence was for. I glanced ar

I got goosebumps when I heard that. I was not afraid of him. What I feared was if Aron learned that I helped one of the Lycans who came from the Lycan's pack, he would get mad at me.'He was with his ex-mate last night. How can I forget that? Why am I even thinking about him?' I told myself not to think about Aron.I lowered my head, thinking about the cold look that he gave me today as if I had no right to ask him about his activities.Wasn't he cheating on me?I tightened my fists, closing my eyes tight. I took a deep breath. Lifaya's face reflected on my mind. He was confident that Aron still loved her.I felt a gaze on me. I lifted my head and saw the man was staring at me."Most of the people look frightened when they meet me. But you look upset."I inhaled deeply. I shook my head and replied, "There is nothing to fear. You are a lycan. Not all the Lycans are bad."He raised an eyebrow. "Who told you that Lycans are bad?"I swallowed my breath. I wanted to slap myself for slippin
