4. Saving mother

--

Zane is suspicious. No matter how much Yesran thought she could only conclude that Zane was suspicious.

Zane approached Yesran as if from the start he knew she was in the library, he talked about the werewolf as if he understood the mythical creature. And, most importantly, Yesran never forgot Zane's form in her dream at that time, in Yesran's dream, Zane was a werewolf.

Avoiding the man is the best option. Even though what Yesran suspected was wrong in the end she still had to leave this city and move, so there was no point in dealing with that man.

After finishing her business at the library, Yesran didn't stop anywhere, she immediately waited for the bus and went home, because the sky was already gray and the rain was coming soon, Yesran didn't want to worry her mother so she had to go home immediately.

It was already drizzling when Yesran arrived at the bus stop in her home area. Yesran put on the hood of her jacket, running fast to get home quickly because she didn't bring an umbrella.

It didn't take long for Yesran to arrive at her house.

Yesran's originally hasty steps slowed, she looked ahead with her brows furrowed gently, she stood in the rain, letting the water from the sky wet her freely.

When Yesran's eyes saw the state of her yard in disarray she could not move at all, the windows of her house were shattered as if a stone had been thrown, the door to her house was wide open, the mother's favorite flower pots were shattered with scattered earth, the flowers that had just spring were trampled to death, and the footprints of shoes were visible on the white floor of her house.

Yesran blinked giddily, before she finally ran into the house with a panicked breath, her eyes darting around and saw the situation in the house which was even messier, the tables and chairs were overturned, the house utensils and books were all not where they should be.

Any robbers?

Yesran saw the footprints on the floor of his house, clearly the size of an adult male and more than two people.

The syndicate broke into her house and wreaked havoc. Unfortunately, Yesran saw or heard no signs of life in her home.

And of all the things that can be destroyed, Yesran is afraid of only one thing.

"Mother!" Yesran shouted calling her mother's name.

Mother. Yesran is afraid that something will happen to her mother. The fear that Yesran had seemed to rise sharply like a rocket when Melia didn't answer her call.

"Mother, where are you?" Yesran called again while stepping into the kitchen, but no one was there, then Yesran went upstairs, opened the door to their mother's room looked for Melia in all the rooms in the house, and called Melia's name again and again, but still no answer.

When the fear began to take over, Yesran couldn't help but cry, she fell on the floor and cried loudly.

"Mother!" called Yesran sadly between sobs and fear. "Where are you? What's going on here? Who did this? Why did they do this? Where are you now, I'm afraid!"

Between tears, Yesran grabbed the bag that was still hanging from her body, the nineteen-year-old girl grabbed her cell phone and tried to call her mother, but Melia's number was off. Yesran tried to contact Melia again and again but the result was the same.

Feeling hopeless, Yesran finally called the police.

“Hello, this is the police, is there anything we can do to help?”

“Help me,” Yesran said, her trembling voice mixed with the sound of the rain. Make the atmosphere there more gripping. When the police officer asked Yesran again she answered. "When I get home my house is in a mess and my mother can't be reached, please come here and help me."

Calmly the police officer answered. "Okay, can you tell me your home address?" Yesran quickly gave her home address. "Our team will be here in three minutes, please don't turn off the phone until our officers are seen."

At that time Yesran did not answer, her puffy eyes looked down, to be precise at the contents of the open bag, there was a thick book she had just brought home from the library.

Her hand which was originally holding the cell phone dropped, ignoring the police's words, Yesran grabbed the book.

Werewolf chronicles.

What if, this incident had to do with something about werewolves?

The most important part of the book is at the end. Yesran remembers Zane's words in the library.

With wet and cold hands Yesran opened the book, and she read the last page carefully.

On the page of the book was a picture of a wolf howling in the moonlight, and with it was an inscription.

An ancient prophecy from a psychic from the northern continent called the Zaphire Sun. Which says that there was a blessed birth for the wolves that is believed to this day.

“Child of the Moon Goddess?” whispered Yesran little, she reread the next line. Yesran's heart was beating very fast. “A woman who was born during an eclipse and has a moon-shaped birthmark on her heart?”

Yesran touched the center of her chest, something she had always kept secret even to her friend since childhood, something Melia had been warning her about every day. To not show her birthmark to anyone.

Child in prophecy.

A special child sent by the moon goddess.

"Me?" whispered Yesran, at the same time the sky shouted thunder, almost making Yesran jump.

Now everything is clearer.

About something that was sealed within her, about the truth of Yesran's identity, everything made more sense.

Yesran is a werewolf.

“The one who was born within and bestowed the privilege to the clan is me?”

And did the people breaking into her house, and the person who kidnapped Melia has something to do with this? Are they after Yesran?

As quickly as Yesran stand up, she ran towards Melia's room. Looking for something, then Yesran stopped when her eyes caught something on the mirror of Melia's dressing table.

A notepad with one line written, an address.

"They kidnapped my mother because they wanted me," said Yesran along with tears in her eyes, "This is why mother brought me to a sedentary life. This is the reason why mother… hid so many secrets behind me.”

Yesran rubbed her face roughly, she ran down and out.

“Everything is for my safety. But in the end, it was my mother who was hurt," Yesran whispered as she looked up at the sky, which was still dripping with rain. Not so long ago, Yesran looked down again, she stared ahead with a sharp gaze, squeezing the paper in her hand furiously. “You said I was your child, Moon Goddess. Then show me the evidence, don't hurt my mother, don't let my mother get hurt by anybody."

Then Yesran ran against the rain. "I will save you mother, until then please stay safe."
