2. Moon Goddess

Yesran had a strange dream. There is a new child in her dream.

Yesran is in a room covered in golden light, this room is like a room where there are no walls, there are four large pillars, and only covered by wide curtains. The sound of the howling of the nocturnal beasts made Yesran look up instantly, she panicked, even almost crying because of her confusion. Yesran was only wrapped in a thin dress and was sitting in the middle of the bed as if she was waiting for someone to arrive. That night the half-moon lit up the sky.

Until then a voice made Yesran immediately turn around, seeing a large shadow with shining yellow eyes. Yesran squealed and gradually retreated, it was a wolf!

Before long, silence fell, and Yesran calmed her ragged breathing. She kept looking in the same direction with a worried look. And unexpectedly a man came out from behind the curtain, shirtless, wearing only pants. The man's body looked injured, there were several cuts on his neck and chest. The tall and dashing man walked straight with his gaze focused on Yesran.

Yesran felt the pheromone fill her nose. She widened her eyes. "You... the new kid?"

"Zane," said Zane as he climbed the bed, crawling and cradling Yesran under him. "Call me Zane."

Yesran speechless. She couldn't say anything, Zane's deep and heavy voice made Yesran lose the ability to reply. Instead of replying, raising her hand to keep the man away from her body, Yesran seemed unable.

Howl after wolf howl was heard, successfully making Yesran look away from Zane's sharp eyes.

But it didn't take long for Yesran to feel the surprise.

"You smell so good, Yesran," whispered Zane, he lowered his body and sniffed Yesran's neck. And before all the nightmares were over, Yesran felt a sharp object stabbed into her neck, it felt very hot, it felt like Yesran's self could be torn apart by the bite.

A light shone when Zane bit Yesran's neck, along with a scream of pain that Yesran endured the wounds on Zane's body gradually healed. But the pain Yesran felt was beyond comprehension.

Yesran screamed. She woke up with sweat all over her body.

Dream.

Everything is just a dream.

An unreasonable dream.

Even when she had woken up, Yesran felt her fingers shaking, her breath racing, complete with a crazy heartbeat.

"Mother," Yesran called when she saw her mother's presence on the bench there.

Melia looked at Yesran with a look that was difficult to interpret. Before long, she smiled, approached Yesran, and helped wipe the sweat from her forehead.

"We're going home now," said Melia without asking what kind of dream Yesran had. Yesran could understand that her mother was very worried, but she was calm because she didn't want Yesran to know about her worries.

"I fainted?" Yesran asked as she got off the bed in the infirmary.

Melia nodded reassuringly. "Yeah, it's okay, we have to go home now so mom can make medicine for you."

Yesran just nodded her head obediently.

“Did someone approach you today?” Melia asked, after a few seconds they walked.

"Besides Vivi and Ariel?" Yesran replied. "There isn't any."

Melia looked thoughtful before asking again. "What about men? A man is approaching you?"

Yesran did not immediately reply.

Melia doesn’t usually ask this kind of thing.

The only man who approaches Yesran is the new child, even if it is only a dream, a dream will forever be a dream, not real.

"There are a lot of men on campus, but they do their jobs," Yesran replied, shaking her head. "No one comes near me, mother."

Melia smiled calmly, she seemed to take a breath and said. "Okay, let's go home."

Yesran and Melia walked hand in hand, past the campus children who kindly asked about her condition.

When they arrived at the car, mother borrowed Kevin's car, their neighbor’s, to pick up Yesran.

"Yesran," called Melia later. The woman was already sitting in the driver's seat, while Yesran sat beside her, with a pale face and a slightly dizzy head.

"Yes, mother."

"I will process the transfer file as quickly as possible, we will move at the latest the day after tomorrow," said Melia, very suddenly, making Yesran a little surprised. "Tomorrow you don't have to leave for the campus again, I have arranged it."

Yesran never denied her parents. Yesran also never doubted the decisions of her mother and father.

So instead of asking 'why', Yesran just nodded and said. "Okay."

--

The next day, Vivi and Ariel visited Yesran. The news that Yesran would be moving soon spread widely. Yesran couldn't help but give her two friends her home addresses.

Before this, Yesran had never brought friends home. Em, perhaps once. But long ago when she was a child, after school Yesran and her friends met more often in public places, whether it was a mall or a cafe just to meet.

And as she grew older, Yesran played less and less, meeting friends on campus was enough, while at home Yesran used to spend time with her mother or if she needs time to be alone, Yesran just stays in her room with a book and plays guitar.

"Feeling better already?" Vivi asked after Melia came out of Yesran's room after delivering drinks to her two children's friends.

Yesran still feels a little dizzy and feels weak, a little, it's better than yesterday.

Yesran nodded her head. "Better."

"I panicked when you suddenly fainted yesterday," Ariel said in a passionate tone of voice. "You didn't say your condition was that bad."

"I..." Yesran closed her eyes. Surely Vivi and Ariel panicked. "I didn't know it could be that bad either."

Yesran had never been sick to the point of fainting before, she had never been so sick that she had to stay in the hospital for days, this was the first time, and her mother did not take Yesran to the hospital but chose to take care of Yesran herself.

So... that's it.

Humans can't predict what will happen in the future, Yesran doesn't know why she's sick, and Yesran doesn't know if she can faint because of a strange disease that hit her.

Apart from being sorry for bothering and worrying Yesran, she couldn't say anything else.

"I’m sorry," Yesran regretted.

Vivi and Ariel were seen shaking their heads. Then Ariel shrugged her shoulders briefly. "Never mind, the most important thing now is that you're okay, Yessy. I'm glad you're back to health."

Yesran smiled happily. "Thank you for coming to see me."

"But," Vivi said later. The girl looked at Yesran for a few seconds as if she was considering what to ask. "Why do you want to move all of a sudden?"

Right. Move.

Yesterday Yesran told her mother that she was just starting to get closer to her friends, not only Vivi and Ariel but other friends as well.

And of course, the news of a sudden movement will be very surprising, not for Yesran who has been used to this habit for almost a lifetime.

"My mother and me," Yesran replied with a small smile. "We are used to moving, don't know why."

Vivi and Ariel looked at each other awkwardly. "You are a very filial daughter, don’t you? You obey everything your mother says, Yessy."

Yesran smiled gently, suddenly Yesran remembered her father “My father loves to travel, his goal is to travel around the world with my mother and me. So once a year or once every few months we have to change places of residence, whether it's between cities, countries, or even continents."

"Your dad is rich, Yessy?" Vivi teased then, that just moving around is not something easy, and the costs incurred are also not small. “I want to do that too, traveling the world, but just for the holidays not staying. You are a good girl, willing to keep the ideals of your father and mother until you give up your wishes."

“Mother only has me, and I also only have my mother. We can understand each other," said Yesran.

With the two of them alone, Yesran's life feels complete and happy, even since childhood she has never been lacking, mother always tries to do what Yesran wants as long as it is within reasonable limits.

And although others judge that Yesran sacrificed her own 'happiness', she doesn't agree with that. The moving life made her happy, and she didn't mind doing it.

Even if you are tired and tired of moving around, Yesran will tell her mother, and surely she will respect Yesran's decision.

“By the way, how did it taste? Is he smell good?” asked Ariel suddenly, with a bright smile and a more cheerful tone of voice.

Yesran was silent.

She blinked and tilted her head in confusion. "Feel what?"

"You did not know?" said Ariel in disbelief.

Vivi replied. "Don't joke, Ariel. She fainted back then.”

Yesran's frown deepened. When Yesran fainted?

What would be the thing that could make Ariel smile that wide and speak with such enthusiasm?

"Is there something I missed?" asked Yesran curiously.

"Zane carried you to the infirmary."

The wrinkles on Yesran's forehead flattened again, and Yesran's eyes widened. Didn't she hear wrong? Zane? It seems Yesran has heard of that name.

But... in a dream.

The new kid. He is named Zane in Yesran's dream.

But how is that possible? A dream is just a dream, Yesran never even heard that name when she was awake, so how could that name be his name and Yesran knew it from a dream?

"Who?" Yesran repeated to make sure, she felt that something was wrong here.

“Zane, the new kid we talked about yesterday.”

Yesran's eyes trembled. "Za- Zane?"

Right. In Yesran's dream, the man is named Zane. The same. His name is Zane. Then the dream? Was it not a dream? Is everything real? But clearly, it was a dream, because there was no way Zane had fangs and bite Yesran's neck.

"His name is Zane?" Yesran whispered while holding her left neck.

Does not make sense.

"I can't believe your mother didn't tell you about this," Vivi said later.

It surprised Yesran even more. "My mother knows about this?"

Vivi nodded honestly. "She asked, so we answered."

But, why didn't mother tell Yesran and instead asked about the man who approached her that day when she knew?

Moreover, when Yesran just woke up from fainting yesterday, her mother didn't ask her anything and immediately took her home. Mom didn't ask why Yesran was sick, she didn't ask how Yesran was feeling, and she didn't even ask Yesran what she dreamed about until she woke up sweating badly yesterday.

Is Melia hiding something from Yesran?

Vivi and Ariel came home after a few minutes of chatting there. Yesran stayed in her room with her head full of thoughts and question marks. After nineteen years of her life, Yesran never asked or thought about the meaning of her existence, she just lived a happy life. But now, after all the strange things she had experienced for the first time in her life, Yesran couldn't be indifferent.

Yesran wants to know what the meaning of time and its existence is.

Yesran wanted to know the reason for the pain she was feeling.

Yesran wants to know why the dream is so real, the pain in her neck is still felt.

And Yesran wants to know what her mother is hiding from her.

Yesran is not a person who is good at keeping curiosity, she prefers to ask when something is stuck in her heart or if there is something she doesn't like. Therefore, at this time Yesran decided to leave her room and go to her mother's room next door.

Yesran should not be suspicious of her mother.

If there is something you want to ask, Yesran has to ask.

Yesran was already standing in front of mother's bedroom door, she took a deep breath before then directed her fingers to reach the doorknob, opening the door as slowly as possible.

Before Yesran could go inside, Melia's voice on the phone stopped her, Melia faced the window and turned her back to the bedroom door, Yesran intends to close the door again and will meet Melia later when Melia is no longer busy.

Yesran's hand movements stopped when she heard her name being called.

"Yesran has her first heat," said Melia to the person on the phone.

Heat? Yesran thought. Not knowing what he meant, Yesran chose to listen more.

Yesran stood behind the door longer, silently, stealthily.

“She didn't feel much pain because the seal Percy made was still strong, but now it's not as strong as before. What should I do now? The medicine I concoct won't be enough, in the future, it will be more difficult to hide my daughter's whereabouts.”

Hide? Yesran bowed her head.

Yesran is being hidden from whom?

Melia's voice sounded worried and a little panicked. Yesran sensed something serious here.

"Initially everything was fine, I suspected that someone had provoked the 'She' that was sealed in Yesran's body and made her rebel and force her way out," Melia said something that made Yesran even more confused. "I'm a human so can't feel it, but as a mother, I understand how my child is in danger."

Yesran decided to keep listening to the whole thing until it was finished.

"Can you help me? Tighten the seal. She can't know all this. If anyone smells 'She' in her body everything my husband has sacrificed will be in vain. We've moved this far, I don't want them to know where my daughter is."

At that time. Yesran felt that what she had heard was more than enough. The reason they have been moving all this time is not because of her father's dream to travel the world but because Melia has hidden Yesran’s existence from the eyes of the world.

But why?

Yesran entered her room again, she closed the door and leaned her back against the door. Her eyes gleamed in confusion with an equally confused brain.

Heat?

Seal?

And 'She'?

What's all that?
