Sloane's pov.

They say Omegas’ don't matter. They reminded us that we are nothing. Thus, someone like me can't dream to be with someone like Lucien. What he did to me back in college also confirmed it.

Omegas' like me are treated like we don't belong and I've been made to live with that truth every single day.

Because of that, I didn't want to dream about being Lucien's Luna.

And now, I'll be getting married to him. I'll be mated to him for a year.

What happens after that?

I get discarded, because I'm nothing but a useless Omega.

“What are you doing?” Dad's voice cut through my thoughts and I flinched.

I pulled myself together and walked inside. Every step I took was heavy and it only brought me closer to Lucien.

His icy blue eyes were on me, but I knew he couldn't see the face behind the veil. He probably thinks it's Bella.

I stopped in front of the altar and faced Lucien, Dad standing in front of us.

“Here comes the bride,” Dad smiled. A fake smile that didn't reach his eyes.

“I don't have time to waste” Lucien's voice rose.  “Let's get this over with”

His voice alone scattered every of my thoughts and made heat rush through my spine. I imagined that voice commanding me to get on my knees to give a blowjob, or the voice telling me to spread my legs wide.

“You both need to sign this” Dad placed two contracts on the table beside him.

This wasn't a wedding. It was just a contract exchange. I had questions, but I didn't ask, for fear that Lucien would recognize my voice and that would ruin everything.

Lucien signed without hesitation and he dropped the pen, looking over at me.

His gaze pierced through the veil and for a moment, I got scared of what he'd do once he found out whose face was behind the veil.

I stepped closer to the table and that was so close to where Lucien was standing. His cologne filled my nose and I dragged in a deep breath like someone who was suddenly doing drugs.

I imagined that scent filling my nose while I stayed pinned under him on his bed, naked.

“Stop, Sloane….” I cautioned myself. “Focus”

I needed to stay away from him as soon as I could, else I might end up begging him to fuck me right here.

Dad already explained what the contract is all about. Stay with Lucien for a year to secure the alliance between them. I didn't need to read it again, I only scribbled my signature on the papers, returning to where I stood.

“Done” Dad picked the contract up and handed one over to Lucien while he kept one.

“You can unveil your mate now, alpha” Dad said, a sly smirk on his face.

My throat tightened.

My breath caught and my face moved to Lucien who also turned to me.

“We will do that at home” His face was expressionless, no hint of amusement in his tone.

Panic rose in my chest the moment he said that.

Home.

Where I would be alone with him.

I was shocked when Lucien grabbed my hand and led me out of the hall. I was nervous, scared of what would happen after he find out who I am.

He opened his car door and I entered without a word. He got in beside me and his driver drove out of Dad's estate.

“Buckle up” his voice was cold and commanding. “It will be a long ride”

That didn't sound like he was only talking about the car ride, it felt like he was also talking about my one year with him.

The drive to Lucien's pack felt like eternity and when the car stopped in a big mansion, he got off first and opened the door for me.

Everywhere was cool, filled with serenity and the sunset light left glow marks on the mansion.

“Follow my lead” Lucien said and I nodded.

He walked upstairs and I followed, the contract dangling in his hand as he picked his steps. He pushed a door open and I followed behind him, thinking he was just showing me my room.

“This will be our room,” he said.

I didn't say a word and didn't react. He turned to me and lifted his hand to my face.

My breath caught and my hands started to tremble. Will he slap me for pretending to be Bella? Will he send me back?

Will Carl be alright after he sends me back?

I became afraid but I didn't stop him from removing the veil. I closed my eyes, awaiting what was coming.

“Welcome home, munchkin” Lucien lifted the veil off my face, throwing it to the floor.

My eyes sprang open in shock and I stared at Lucien, watching the glint of amusement in his icy blue eyes. He started calling me munchkin after the love letter incident in college, and he never stopped teasing me with that name whenever we met.

My legs buckled and I stumbled backwards. “You knew?”

That wasn't a question. The look on his face confirmed it.

He already knew.

“Did you think I was going to mate Bella?” he asked with a snort.

I couldn't respond. I was too shocked to be able to.

“No” he shook his head slightly, standing relaxed. “You were the one I chose from the beginning”

My head spun. What did he mean?

Like he understood the questions in my head, he continued.

“I knew Oscar would make you take her place”

I blinked in confusion. It was his intention to marry me from the start.

“But why me?”

“I want an heir,” he said. I didn't let him finish and cut him off immediately. “And what does that have to do with me?”

“You'll be the one carrying my pups in that pretty womb of yours” Lucien's eyes shifted to my stomach.

I stepped backwards protectively. “No, this alliance is only for a year, after then, we are done!”

Lucien laughed. “Says who?”

“You didn't read the contract well, did you?” He said.

He walked over to the table where he had dropped it and slammed it into my hands. “Here”

I lifted the contract to my face and looked through it. My stomach twisted when my eyes caught two clauses that stopped my heartbeat for a moment.

“No1. You'll be bound to Lucien Collins forever”

“No2. You'll get pregnant with Lucien Collins pup within a year or the alliance is void”

The contract slipped, falling to the floor with a loud thud.

This…..

It had my signature on it…. But I didn't even read through.

I thought I signed a year of my life away, but no. I signed my whole life away.

Not only my life, I signed my womb to Lucien Collins too.

“No, I was tricked” I muttered slowly.

Dad tricked me. Replacing me with Bella and threatening me with Carl wasn't enough, he tricked me into signing a forever ever with Lucien.

And Lucien….

He planned this. He knew it was me. He wanted it to be me!

“Why was I chosen?” I asked, voice cracking slowly.

Lucien stepped closer and my back hit the wall immediately. He was standing so close that I could feel his body pressing into mine.

My head lifted and my breath got shaky. Lucien folded my wedding dress from the thigh and I blinked, wondering what he was doing.

“I heard it, Sloane” His hand slid to my thigh, then slowly up to my waist.

My breath caught, my body reacting before my head could catch up. I flinched, a soft moan escaping the back of my throat.

What did he hear?

“You fucking yourself with my name rolling out of your lips” he said. “And that's why I chose you”

My eyes widened but his hand which found my bra and spilled my boobs out of them didn't allow me to process his words.

It happened. Multiple times. I fucked myself while thinking about him.
