5. The Pledge

Simple preparations were made, Marco ordered several household assistants to prepare the backyard for later evening's event. He had asked Harry, his Beta to allow the Mendes family children to absent from school. They need rest and preparation. To follow the ceremony, usually, the werewolves would prepare themselves physically, because they would come in contact with Alpha's blood.

An oath of loyalty related to blood, two parties, the Alpha and the person to be sworn in. Moreover, Marco is a Lycan, Lycan blood is known to be deadly to all werewolves. Usually, all members of the pack will be given a special potion so that there are no side effects when coming into contact with Alpha's blood. Some are just passed out and others just look pale.

The main event of the pledge is to shake hands with Alpha making a promise, more precisely answering a question in the form of a promise from the Alpha. Then the two, Alpha and the person who was sworn to injure his right hand with a dagger until it bled, shook hands. When their blood is touched by the Alpha's blood, then they officially become members of the pack.

The Alpha will have a telepathic connection with the new member, just like everyone else. Unlike other Alpha, Marco was born as a Lycan and the blood of a Lycan, when exposed to an ordinary werewolf, will affect poison, deadly. So, every member of the Blue Moon pack, they don't have that deadly effect if they come into contact with other Lycan blood, because their bodies already have an immune system due to Alpha's blood.

"Make sure the family drinks a special potion, they are weak wolves. Especially their second daughter." Said Alpha Marco telepathically to Harry, his Beta who was heading to Mendes' residence to give the potion in question.

One hour before the ceremony. Marco is wearing worn short jeans and a black short-sleeved T-shirt. There is no point in dressing well during the ceremony because afterward, they will turn into their wolves. Introducing the respective wolves to the Alpha. If they persist after the event, if their body is too weak the last program will be postponed to the next day.

Marco paced up and down his study. Soon he would have a blood tie with Jazmine, he was nervous. A man who is never nervous or afraid of fighting an enemy in the war for the first time feels nervous. Only a timid little girl managed to make him nervous just because he was going to say a promise of loyalty.

Tonight would be the first time he would meet Jazzy's wolf. Is she small? Is it big? Coward? Brave? He can't wait.

"All preparations are complete," reported his domestic assistant telepathically. There will only be a few people who come to this ceremony because it is closed. Only Alpha, Beta, Enforcer, and a few pack elders will attend. A large bowl was provided and beside it lay a small dagger with a moon-carved handle.

Marco waited for the Mendes family to arrive, then he came down from his room. Marco walked towards the backyard where everyone was already gathered.

Everyone stood in his backyard and gathered around when their Alpha arrived. They are ready to hear the words of their supreme leader.

"Today, the Mendes family will take an oath of allegiance. Did you drink the potion?" Alpha's question was answered with a nod at the same time as a member of the Mendes family.

"Because without that potion you will die immediately when it comes into contact with my blood!" His face while speaking was expressionless, his voice was heavy and cold. Everyone in the place was silent.

"With this ceremony, you are connecting your life with mine. You will become members of my pack, you are obliged to carry out every rule here without exception, and you will also be under my care and protection. All your needs will be fulfilled, provided you cooperate with me. " He said again with dignity the people of the Blue Moon pack are very proud of their Alpha, even though they have a scary and deadly image, they are the ones who are responsible for all of their members.

Marco called Mr. Mendes, he asked a question and is answered by Mr. Mendes, both of them tore the skin of their palms with the dagger provided, first the Alpha then followed by Mr. Mendes and they shook hands. The second the two hands touched, Mr. Mendes's body shook, his face is pale, his skin seemed to be on fire. When Alpha Marco released his grip, Mr. Mendes' body wobbled, he is very limp. A pack nurse approached and carried the body. He will rest temporarily at the pack doctor's clinic.

The next turn Mrs. Mendes, who turned out to have a better physique, after shaking her hand she is still able to walk on her own even though her face looked pale and tired. Mrs. Mendes is taken to her husband's care to rest.

 Manny walked with confidence, she went through the ceremony as well as her mother. Jazzy's turn, the girl walked towards the Alpha standing.

"Wait," Alpha Marco said causing Jazzy to stop in place.

"You last! Jason, you... now!" Alpha Marco was worried that something might happen when Jazzy was sworn in, so he made her turn at the end.

Jason just looked a little pale after saying the vow. He walked over to Jasmine, "Good luck Sis! I'll wait at the clinic." Jason walked towards the clinic in question.  left alone. She looked at the Alpha who had been paying attention to her movements.

The Alpha's blue eyes followed every step of the waist-black-haired girl he let loose. Blown off at night, her hair looks disheveled. Jasmine walked with her head down until she arrived in front of her Alpha. Her body trembled a little with fear, not fear of blood or this ceremony, but she is afraid of Alpha Marco's tall, large and creepy figure.

"Jasmine Mendes, are you sixteen?" Alpha asked Jazzy, telling Jazzy's identity. Following the rule.

"That's right Alpha," Jasmine answered her eyes focused on the small dagger in front of her.

"You will pledge loyalty and loyalty to this pack? Especially to me?"

"Yes, Alpha."

"You will obey all the rules given without exception?"

"Yes, Alpha."

"Will you promise with your blood? With your life?"

"I promise Alpha."

For the fifth time, Alpha Marco made his palm bleeding to let out fresh blood. Jasmine did the same afterward. The girl gave a small grimace as the skin of her hand was torn apart by the small dagger she had just held. Alpha Marco held out a hand to shake, Jasmine slowly did the same.

When their two hands met, Jasmine and Alpha Marco's blood linked, the girl suddenly fainted. Her body is like she is electrocuted by high voltage electricity, she felt a burning sensation when she was exposed to the Alpha's blood. Before Jasmine's body fell, Alpha Marco pulled her, carried the girl's body, and walked quickly towards the second floor, where his room is located.

"All paramedics are prohibited from entering the second floor. This girl is my business! If there is anything, I will call you!" His orders in telepathic to everyone in the place. Two nurses who were about to take Jasmine's body and took her to the clinic stopped at the spot when they saw their Alpha grabbing and carrying Mr. Mendes'  second child.

Not a strange thing, if a werewolf fainted while shaking Alpha's hands during the pledge ceremony. What is unusual ... Alpha Marco's actions dealing directly with the girl and ordering everyone to stay away from his room.
