LOGINJessica/Tessa’s POV
I look at Zane and gesture for him to sit beside me, trying to ignore the way he steals my coffee. He takes a sip as if it’s his own, a smirk playing on his lips, fully aware of what he’s doing. I give him a glare, but I’m too tired to argue. My body feels sluggish, still not fully awake, and I don’t have the energy to get up and make myself another cup.
I roll my eyes at him, mentally sighing as it dawns on me that we’ll be sharing coffee today. It’s not the energy boost I’m used to, but I&rsquo
Jessica pov.The sharp blare of a horn split the morning air, yanking me out of half-sleep. My body jerked upright before my brain caught up.“What the hell now?” I groaned, dragging a hand over my face. My eyelids felt like bricks, and every bone in me screamed to just collapse back onto the pillow. One week of bad sleep and I was ready to murder whoever thought sounding horns at dawn was a good idea.

Jessica/Tessa’s POVWith a notebook and a pen in hand, I sat by the window, my legs hanging lazily out of it, and my head gently leaning against the glass. I stared off into the distance, absently scribbling in my notebook. The drawings were barely more than a chaotic mess, worse than a preschooler’s art.A knock on the door broke my solitude.“Can I come in?” Zane asked, his voice muffled as
Jessica/Tessa’s POVI placed a steaming cup of coffee on Zane’s desk, gently nudging it toward him. “Here. Calm down a little. He’s already convicted.”Since we got back from the council meeting, he hadn’t moved from that chair. Just sat there—arms crossed, eyes sharp like blades—staring at nothing and everything at once. The weight in his gaze was almost heavy enough to shatter the room.
Jessica/Tessa’s POV“Alpha Eric, you stand accused of treason, conspiracy, and destabilising the kingdom. What do you have to say for yourself?”We were inside the grand council in the palace. All the council members, high-ranking elders, and pack leaders were gathered here today. The council was in the judge and panel seats up front. We were in the audience while Eric stood in the middle, his hand bound with a silver chain.
Jessica’s POVThe heat from the sun was unbelievable today. It’s blazing, so much so that I had to use sunglasses just as many of the other werewolves, as the sun was too strong for our sensitive eyes. The heat wasn’t much of a help either, especially now that Ronald and I were back in the marketplace, and it was bustling with so many people again. Traders, pack members, businessmen, and so many more- people from all over the societal ladder mixed in here.
