Chapter 16

I was pacing around the room, fidgeting with my hands, my palms were sweaty as I had no idea what to expect.

Sebastian had gone to check if it was safe for them to enter the pack, or if it was just a prank since he had sent my birthmark to different packs.

I heard Sebastian's voice coming closer to the room, so I hurried back inside, waiting for what would happen next.

Sebastian opened the door and walked in with an old lady, who I assumed was my mother, a young lady and a guy.

I looked up at the woman and noticed the striking resemblance between us. It was obvious to anyone that we were related.

She moved closer to me, her eyes full of water, like she was about to cry. She held my hands and pulled me into a warm embrace.

"Is this what a mother's hug feels like?" I thought to myself. "Thank goodness you are alive and I am sorry, my dear," she said.
