Chapter 9 - CORRECTED 3/3/22

I hissed under my breath and rolled my eyes. “Listen, other than before, I have a perfectly valid reason for this.”

“I’m sure you do. Let’s hear it.” He suggested with a raised eyebrow.

I shook my head. “No. That’s none of your business.”

Who does this man think he is? Why would I divulge any information about my personal life to him? He may be gorgeous, but that does not imply that I will drool over him and spill about how awful my life is. I’ve always wanted to whack the women in the village for acting in such a disrespectful manner toward other men. Never before in my life have I been able to comprehend why a woman would display frailty in order to attract a man. The whole “poor me” thing is a relic of the past and out of date.
