Damon

My poor Misha carries so much guilt. I have to make her see, I just hope she doesn't resent me. “Your parents? No, no you didn't. I know and can show you how to use our powers. Please, let me help.” She starts to protest but stops herself. She sighs softly. Great, here goes nothing. “You know you've always been different, just like Ana has.”

“Am I part demon?” she asks shakily.

I stroke her hair and wipe her tears. I kiss her cheeks, and drink in her as if she is the finest wine. “You're far more than part demon, like Ana is.”

“Hey!” Ana protests.

I roll my eyes. “Oh, you know what I mean.”

“Ass!” Ana sneers.

I chuckle, “Love ya too, sis.” That makes Misha giggle, so I cup her beautiful face in my hands, “You, my Queen, are something extraordinary. But show us your memories of that night.”

“How?” she asks.

I smirk, “Just think of it.”

Her eyes widened with realization, “You read minds! You cheater!”

I chuckle, “Not all the time. Plus, your mind is like a hurricane, l'd rather wait for you to tell me than brave its force.”

Misha raises her eyebrow at me, “You're not completely off the hook.”

Now my father loses his composure to a fit of laughter. He teases, “Welcome to married life.”

I roll my eyes at him. Misha gasps, “What?”

My father shrugs, “Oh, it'll happen.”

“So says you,” my little Misha says as she approaches my father and puts her hands on her hips. “You can't make me do anything.” Oh, hell I love this woman! “You can not order me to marry him or anyone.”

“Just why do you think that?” he asks.

Misha sighs, “If I killed my parents, I can kill you.”

He chuckles, “Well, then it's a good thing that you didn't. Please know that l'll never order you to do anything like that, Misha. We used to have arranged marriages, but the Moirai intervened.

Since we are to roam Earth at our designated time until we find our love, and you, Misha, have just found him. You will figure this out when you're ready.” He's so cocky. He's just smirking at Misha. But she's not backing down.

Misha sasses him, “Well, if you think you know so much, oh most sinister emperor, then exactly what happened that night?”

My father cocks an eyebrow at me, “Are you sure you want an eternity of this?”

I chuckle and wrap my arms around her waist from behind, “The surest l've ever been.”

I kiss the top of her head and inhale her scent. I feel her melt into me. I'm more sure about this than I've ever been in my whole existence. Misha is my queen!

“So what happened Beelzebub?” she asks.

“Show us your memory,” my father commands.

Misha’s Memory

I must've been five. I was in the backseat, buckled in, and my parents were in the front. My father was driving. I can't clearly remember their faces, so they appear out of focus. They're discussing how we need to move again. It's not the first time. I just thought that we moved because of Dad's job. He loses control of the car. It hits a tree hard, and fire starts engulfing the car. It bounced off the tree and dove into a pond. It starts to sink. I scream. Then all I remember is frozen darkness.

End Misha’s Memory

“See, I killed them,” she says as tears begin to fall.

“No, you kept the car from plummeting into the depths of that lake. You didn't kill them because they aren't dead!” my father says.

“Of course they are, the nun told me,” she replied.

“Misha, you're an Earth child but you're not human,” he said.

Misha glares at him, “I sure look human.”

“Well, so does everyone in this room, right?” he asks.

Misha nods, “Well, yeah.”

“Son, show her,” he commands. I roll my eyes because I hate this part. I'd rather look human.

I take a breath, and my wings begin to emerge and unfurl.

Misha gasps, “Whoa, they glow!” She starts to stroke my wings and run her fingers through the feathers, “They shimmer and are so silky and soft.” Then she presses herself into my back, trying to cocoon herself in them. She's rubbing herself on my wings. It feels amazing but tickles slightly. I've never had anyone do this before.

“Well, she's obviously not afraid,” he says.

“They're the most beautiful thing l've ever seen!” she exclaims as I look at my father.

“Even your mother wasn't this enamored,” he admits.

Ana laughs, “Told you!”

Misha raises up her head, “Stuff it!” Ana gets this evil smirk on her face. “Don't you even say that!”

“It's about time is all I'll say,” Ana teases. These two, I swear. They get each other now. Imagine how in-sync they'll be once they get all of their powers. I pull Misha around me. She hugs me tightly.

“What are my parents? What am I?” she asks me.

I smile and kiss her, “Besides being my queen and the love that I've searched three hundred years to find, you're a goddess.”

“I am what!” she exclaims.

DamonDamnit! Fucking Atropos! My waist is encircled with a whip as I'm pulled from Misha's grasp.I try to free myself but I can't. I can barely move.Atropos sneers, “The Threads of Fate, Damon. You are powerless and can't escape.”My family tries to rush forward but is stopped by the barrier. Misha yells, “You are a soon-to-be-extinct bitch!” Misha's eyes take on a fiery glow.“Don't even think about using your powers,” Atropos says as she takes out her scissors.“One move and I will end him.”Telepathically, I tell Misha that she knows what she must do. I watch the fire ignite further in her eyes. Misha linked to Ana as I asked through our link. Thankfully, it helped Ana get through the barrier and she now stands beside Misha. She sensed that Misha needed her, that I needed her which allowed her to use her powers.“How? Nevermind as it won't matter soon,” Atropos says as she takes her scissors and stabs me with them.“You're right, it won't matter soon!” Misha said as the scissors

  • Christmas In Hell   Time

We are oblivious as to what goes on around us.“Wow!” my mother exclaims.Ana asks, “Is this normal?”“No, but it's beautiful,” Derek says.We finally pull away and just stare into each other’s eyes. Ana says, “Umm guys you need to see this.” We turn to look at them. Everything is brimming with life or glowing. Doves are flying overhead. Butterflies are dancing around us. Flowers are blooming all over. But the most striking is a shimmering pool that surrounds Misha and me as we stand on its glimmering surface.“Holy shit!” Misha exclaims. She blushes as she cussed. She is so damn adorable. “How?”I cup her face. “You. All of this is your soul Misha and how it reacts to mine.” I hold out my other hand and a dove lands on it. I move it close to her face. “This is us. This is the life we just created.”She pets it and it coos but then it turns into a Phoenix. “Umm.” I smile as the Phoenix takes off and leaves strea

I'm gaining a daughter and grandchildren. But so very much more.” She takes Misha's left hand and raises it up. “The lost ring of life is lost no more.”“It's impossible.”“Yet, here it is. Son, your bride is a descendant of the Creators. She has to be,” my mother says.“I thought only one God created everything?” Misha asks.“No, there were two. A man and a woman but equal parts light and dark. They made the balance and hoped their creations would keep it,” my mother explains.“You see we've tried but so much has been lost,” Derek says.“Our family is one of the last few that try to uphold the balance,” my father adds.Derek looks at his son, “It is why angels are forbidden to consort with h
