Cassie's POV

“I quit!” I shrieked as I slammed the files on my boss's table, and the shock on her face was enough to tell that I had screwed up, but I didn't care.

I never would have imagined that word could come out of my mouth after the years I spent at the news company trying to make a name for myself. I worked as a reporter at a broadcasting house, which had been my dream ever since I was young, but that wasn't my goal.

I wanted to be a news anchor, not just a reporter, and I thought that would be possible if I devoted all my life to making it work. I graduated top of my class, top of my peers during the internship, and the best junior reporter the broadcasting house ever had, but what was the use of that if your supervisor would never let you shine?

“What? Did you just say that to threaten me?” Ms Beatrice, my supervisor who had made my work life hell. She always stole the credits for my stories I covered or gave them to someone else, which had led me to not being promoted for 3 years.

“Threaten you? No, that's not a threat; I'm done! I have been tolerating your bullshit all this while, but I quit!” I said, as I slammed my resignation letter, which I had tucked away for a year now, that I never believed I would turn it in, but it was long overdue.

I wouldn't have come to my senses about Beatrice like every other time if she hadn't stolen an exclusive story I covered, and I had been promised a promotion if I covered it myself, but she gave it to a junior, which earned her a promotion and not me.

Wondering why she hated me? Didn't know, but I also didn't give a fuck.

“You are going to regret this... this insolent behavior; you will regret this!” She screamed, but I just scoffed. “No, I won't.”

“You think you are all there because you cover some stories, but let me tell you that there are thousands of you ready to take your place, so you better think twice before you make this mistake!” She rasped, and I had never seen Beatrice so out of breath. Perhaps this was God's reward for me; seeing Beatrice so uneasy on my last day was a good consolation that I needed.

“You think so? Then employ them,” I replied, as I walked out of the office. I noticed my team members were all looking at me like I had grown horns as I cleared out my desk because there were more cases like this in the past, and instead of getting angry, I swallowed everything up.

“Have you lost it? Are you really leaving? Don't get on Beatrice's bad side like this; you won't survive in this field!” My team members all bombarded me with worries, but instead of replying, I just bowed my head as I bade my final farewell and left.

None of them were my friends, so there was no reason to act like we were close. I walked with my head high until I got to my car, but immediately I got in and I broke down.

“Ahhh!” I screamed as I slammed my car wheels, pouring out my frustration. All my hard work these years just went down the drain; no sane person wouldn't lose their mind, but after my little show of frustration, I picked myself up.

I would rather not be anywhere close to the place, so I drove off, but I circled the city until it was evening. I stopped in front of a bar, and I felt it was the right place to be.

“Maybe I should just have a drink.” I blurted, and I didn't know if that was a good idea because I hadn't had a drink in a long time, and I couldn't hold my liquor well. “I will just have a glass.” I pouted as I got out of the car, but that turned out to be wrong.

“More!” I shrieked as I passed my glass to the bartender. If my brain hadn't fried yet, I should be on my fourth glass of whisky.

I completely ignored every one of the creeps as I drowned myself in the alcohol, but everything changed when he came around, taking a seat beside me, engulfing me in his scent that smells like fresh forest mixed with tobacco.

“Looks like you have too much to drink,” I heard the man who just took a seat beside me say, and I raised my head from my glass and wanted to take offense, but my words got stuck in my mouth as I saw the face of the man.

“I will be damned!” I breathed, as I froze, staring at his face. He has a well-sculpted face, with a perfect jawline and cheekbones, honey-brown hair, his full, bloodshot, plump lips, and his gray eyes staring into my soul. My face felt hot just locking gazes with him, but there was another part of my body that was hot…you know.

  • Chronicles Of One Night Stands   Can You Help Me, Daddy?

Cassie's POV I slapped his arm off my body, and even though my body had craved his touch so much since it was familiar, I knew the sick history we had should be crushed and forgotten because no one must hear that I had fucked my soon-to-be stepfather.“Your body remembers my touch.” He hollered, and I wanted to spank him so much, but I pushed him off me immediately. “Sicko!” I rasped, as I got away from him.I walked back to the banquet hall, and I wanted to get close to my mom to tell her, but I heard her telling people about the wedding; she looked so happy. I couldn't bear to ruin that for her, so with my last look at Sergio, who was behind me, I decided to bury the axe. Perhaps what happened that night could stay a secret forever.“Don't hurt her!” I mumbled, looking at him, and without waiting for his response, I walked out of the place. The dinner went on without me, and I heard Mom introduced Sergio as her fiancé, soon-to-be husband in a week, and I didn't understand why I was

Cassie's POV “Manners, Cassie!” My mother reprimanded me, but I was still processing my shock as I looked at the man. “Sorry, Mum, I'm just shocked, that's all.” I pouted.“Sorry, she's usually not like this, and I think I should let you guys get along; she will be your stepdaughter, so you might as well get to know her.” My mother said, and I almost puked.Stepdaughter? That wouldn't happen on my watch.“Sure, I got this.” He replied with his deep baritone voice that I was familiar with, and my mother picked his cheek before she walked away, leaving me with the man.The moment my mother left the garden, I faced the man, and without mincing words, I told him off.“Call it off!” I blurted, glaring hard at the man, but he didn't say a thing, and I thought he didn't hear me. “I asked you to call it off. What are you doing?” I rasped.“Why should I do that?” He asked with a smirk, which I wanted to wipe off his mouth so badly. “Because you slept with her daughter, and... all I'm saying i

  • Chronicles Of One Night Stands   He'll Be Your Stepfather

Cassie's POV I looked at the huge mansion that stood erected on, and I felt nostalgic looking at the place that was my home for years. Compared to my small condo, this was paradise, but I left this place for that small condo because I couldn't find peace and fulfillment here. My mother didn't support my dream, so I left to pursue that, but look at what that got me.“I think I should just turn…” I slurred, as I turned to leave, but I heard my name being called. “Miss Cassie, are you back?” I turned around to see one of the maids, and I knew I couldn't ruin it anymore. I was ushered in, and I waited for my mother in the living room. I looked at the place where I grew up, and my eyes glistened with tears as I remembered some of my memories. Perhaps she was trying to get back at me for not visiting after many years. She didn't come to see me for a long time.“Erm, erm.” I heard someone clear their throat, and I jerked from sleep immediately. My drowsy eyes cleared out immediately. I saw

  • Chronicles Of One Night Stands   Such A Wild Night

“Mhmm!” I moaned into the kiss as my back hit the bed, with just my underwear on, while he was in his briefs, hugging his huge cock, which I couldn't wait to have a taste of.“Goodness! You are beautiful.” He rasped, as he gazed at my half-naked body, and I smiled, as I ran my hands through his chiselled abs. He took off my bra, letting off my perky breasts with swollen pink nipples, and I watched his eyes go crazy with lust. “Ahh!” I let out a moan as he slipped one of my breasts in his mouth while he squeezed the other roughly with his other hand. It felt fucking amazing. “Urggg!” I groaned as I bit off the pillow, trying to suppress my moan, but he yanked it off, urging me to moan louder for him. He sucked my breast while he squeezed the other so hard; he didn't neglect any of them and only left them be when they were so swollen.“Fuck, you are so wet!” He rasped, as he rubbed his hands on my clit through the panties. I felt indescribably good, and I blamed myself for being a work

  • Chronicles Of One Night Stands   Did You Want To Go To My Hotel Room?

Cassie's POV “I'm sorry, but I hope I'm not ruining anything?” He asked, with a flirty smile, and I slapped myself back to reality. “No,” I slurred, as I looked away from the man, but my hormones were having a field day with the man around. I haven't dated properly in years, which means it has been years since I haven't had sex. Perhaps that was the reason I felt this sudden thirst for this man in front of me.“Something going on at work? "You look distressed,” he said, but I was too focused watching the way his mouth moved, and I couldn't help but wonder what else they moved on.“You are good with your fingers,” I blurted, looking at his large fingers that were circling his glass, and I didn't understand why I found his fingers attractive…could it be the liquor?“Wow! You are checking me out?” He asked, staring intensely at me, and I didn't look away from his gray eyes that were making my pussy sizzle with juice. “Yes, can't I do that? If you might know, I'm crazily curious about yo
