32. Revenge plot.

The doctor attended to him quickly as the other men rallied around, trying to help. He groaned slightly as he checked the time on his wristwatch. He had less than a minute to live.

He held his son's hand and stared at him, emotions building up in his eyes. “I love you, my son.” he managed to say before breathing heavily.

Giovanni drove speedily on the highway. He looked at his watch multiple times as he stepped on the gas, increasing his acceleration. He had decided to drive alone. He had no man with him in the car, and none was following him. He had decided to do everything in secrecy.

His car slowly eased to a stop in front of the gates of Romano's mansion. He lowered the window of the car and stared at the men who nodded at him before allowing him entry. The gate was opened wide for him and he drove in, parking his car in a comfortable position. The guard at the gate stared at the back of Giovanni's car as he drove in before picking up his phone.
