Cinderella Meets Prince Charming

'Click clack'

The sound of heels could be heard coming down the stairs. A silhouette of a woman dressed in a blue dress was coming down the stairs.

The whole place which was noisy earlier, became as silent as a graveyard.

"Woa! So beautiful!" Someone amongst the crowd exclaimed.

"She looks like a fairy." A young lady said to her friend in awe.

"Who is she?" Another person said to his friend in a low voice.

"Pinch me. I'm dreaming right? It's like I'm seeing the goodess of beauty herself." Someone screamed in excitement.

Behold, the beautiful lady finally came down the stairs as she walked forward confidently with her lips curved up. She looked like she just walked out of a painting. She was dressed in a sky blue off shoulder knee length gown. Her hair was styled in a ponytail with some loosed strands of hair which made her look stunning.She was the reason everyone graced the occasion as it was an engagement party. Her engagement party to be precised.She walked towards the seat reserved for her at the front. She sat with her parents and sister on getting there.

"Hello father, mother and sister." She greeted them politely as she took her seat.

"You look stunning darling." Her father, Mr Davidson said to her with a smile on his face. He noticed his wife and other daughter gloating over her. He signalled them to behave and compliment her.

"Oh yes dear, you look beautiful." Mrs Davidson replied admist gritted teeth. She didn't see the girl as beautiful but ugly. Her youngest daughter was more beautiful than this ugly duckling. 'hmmp.'

"Sister, you look gorgeous. I'm sure Noah will trip to see how beautiful you look." Chloe said to her with a sweet smile that didn't reach her eyes.

Isabella was used to her mother and Chloe being sarcastic and harsh to her. She knew they both hated her to the core. Her dad would always support them behind the scenes and pretend to be nice to her.

"Oh thank you so much Chloe. You also look beautiful." She replied sincerely. She noticed that both her mother and sister were giving her gloating looks for a while now. She felt very uncomfortable but she pushed it aside because she felt that they had always been like that towards her. She wasn't expecting any congratulatory compliments from them. She had always been treated differently from childhood.

She was pulled from her train of thoughts when she saw Noah walking towards them. Her heart skipped a beat as he came closer.

"Hello Mr Davidson." Noah greeted him with a slight bow.

"Come on Noah, we would be inlaws soon so why not call me dad. Huh?" He had already acknowledged him as his son since the day he proposed marriage to his eldest daughter.

"Okay, dad!" Noah called him shyly with an awkward smile on his face.

"Good boy, you should get ready for the announcement okay?" He asked with his brows slightly raised. He would want this medium to show off his first daughter to the public. He had been keeping his first daughter Isabella out of the public eye for a while due to his personal reasons but now she's getting engaged to his best friends son and she would definitely be in the lime light so he had no choice.

The MC of the event began with other things and it finally came to the moment the invited guests where waiting for.

"You all know why we are here right?" Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honour to bring to the stage, the couple of the night. Please help me welcome Mr Noah Johnson and his beautiful fiance Isabella Davidson." The guests began applauding for the couple as they stepped out.

Noah took Isabella's hand and led her to the podium.  He took the microphone from the MC intending to speak."Thank you all for gracing this event. Umm... Ella, I've known you since our college days and you've been amazing. You have the sweetest smile, you're a rare gem  and you are also a shoulder to lean on. I want to thank you also for all the wonderful times we've been together and... forgive me but I'm calling off the engagement." Isabella who was smiling frozed in shocked as she heard what he said.

"What do you mean by you're calling off the engagement. You're joking right?" She burst into laughter thinking that it was a prank.

"I'm not joking Ella, I'm in love with someone else." He held her hands apologetically trying to calm her down as she was losing her cool.

"Who is she?" She barked angrily as she couldn't believe her ears.

"I'm sorry big sis that you had to find out this way." She heard a familiar voice spoke. Only for her to turn around and see that it was her 'dear' younger sister. She felt like passing out.

"You? How?...why?...so you've been cheating on me behind my back with my sister huh Noah?" She was so devastated. She couldn't believe that her blood sister could betray her in such a manner.  

"It's not Noah's fault okay. You can hit me all you want sister but please do not blame Noah okay?" Chloe began shedding tears as she went on her knees to plead with  Isabella not to be harsh on Noah. She was of course doing it in purpose to get the crowds attention.

 The onlooking crowd couldn't believe what was happening. Some took sides with Isabella while some with Chloe.

"You! How could you do this to me Chloe? You're evil!" She raised her hand to hit her but then someone grabbed her hand and a resounding slap landed on her face.

"What are you doing to your sister Ella! Get your hands off her!" Mrs Davidson suddenly held her hand and returned it with a hard slap on her face and pushed her in a fit of rage. She couldn't tolerate Isabella trying to harm Chloe.
