The next day, everyone gathered in the pack grounds to witness the public trial. I could have done this privately inside the council hall but I decided to involve the public with it. Doing this, I was hoping the nasty rumors circulating about mate would finally be addressed. The more witnesses to it, the more people would know she was innocent.

The pack grounds were full of whispers and murmurs from the crowd. A small podium was built for us involved in the trial and the members of the jury to step on. On my side were the council members who would facilitate the event. Clark and the rest of the royal guards were standing not far from us in case some unnecessary fights would commence during the trial. Krista was on the other side with some omegas tending to her.

And then, the moment of truth came.
