The next day, Annie's inviting smile found me as the sun peeked over the horizon."Good morning, Lady Mallory. Wanna go for a walk?"
I nodded, a small smile tugging at my lips. I was satisfied with Annie’s care yesterday and felt like my energy is back which after being drained from my short imprisonment.
"Sure, why not?" I exclaimed. Annie prepared my bath quickly and help me get dressed. Afterward, we stepped outside the packhouse and proceeded in walking around.
As we strolled, a current of whispers trailed us like curious shadows. I caught fragments of their conversations, their words knives dipped in judgment, slicing through the air.
