Aldrich's POV

I was getting dressed for my wedding ceremony, grinning from ear to ear when Evander mindlinked me and informed me that Anita needed to see me. At first, I was confused and skeptical about making time for her because the ceremony was going to start in an hour, but then I decided to see her. I knew whatever she had to say must be important for her to come on my wedding day, even though she knew how busy I was going to be.

“Bring her in,” I ordered through the mindlink.

Mara's POVThe words. The glare. The irritation. They all made my chest slam painfully. My lips were parted wide in disbelief and my brows narrowed in thick confusion. I just couldn’t wrap my head around what she was saying.Aldrich had said the same thing earlier but I had not thought much about it. Now, it was coming from Lilith and I couldn’t just disregard it. Lilith wasn’t the type that would blame me or treat me like this simply because she was heartbroken. She knew how to contain her emotions more than anyone else that I knew.“What did you mean, Lilith?” I asked softly, trying to touch her but she removed her hands quickly like I was filth.“What did I mean?” She pushed me away. And because she was stronger and caught me unaware, I staggered back. I almost lost my balance, but with all my strength I managed to stand. Falling would be too risky for my babies. She wasn’t even sorry about the fact that she almost hurt me, instead she seemed enraged and disappointed that she faile

Mara's POV“The Beta of the BlueMoon passed away yesterday afternoon after getting into a life-threatening accident three months ago.”The glass of juice slipped off my hands involuntarily as the reporter's voice from the television reached my ears. My body trembled and my chest slammed hard against my rib cage. No… this couldn’t be happening. The Beta of the BlueMoon pack? Evander was dead?I turned gently and slowly because of my protruding stomach to face it and then I saw the news. By the side of the television, there was a funeral ongoing at the courtyard. Lilith was bawling her eyes out with her best friend Lilly by her side and was led forward, probably to say her last words to him. The sound was muted so I couldn’t really figure out what she was saying. Then she threw a piece of flower into a coffin that wasn’t shown probably because of the viewer’s discretion.Zooming closer to her, her eyes were swollen as more tears streamed down and suddenly she fainted. Lily and the physi

  • Rebirth of The Biker Alpha's Bride   EPISODE ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FOUR

Author's POV For the past three months, Evander had not woken up from coma. Not even once had he opened his eyes or moved any part of his body. But then Lilith knew better than to give up. Every day, she would go to his hospital room to check up on him, read him books, discuss some of their happy memories with him, tell him everything that had been going on in the pack like he was just there—hale and hearty—listening to her chatters. Sometimes, she broke down too, confessing how the past few months had been. She would let him know nothing remained the same without him. Every night, she would cry herself to bed, praying that the Moon Goddess would wake her husband and in the morning, she would console herself, smile and keep pushing. It was the only thing she could do after all. Today, she had come as usual. The nurses chorused greetings to her like they usually did every day she came around. She had responded to every greeting cheerfully, waving her hand, then instructed the guards

Author's POVAldrich stepped into Lilith's VIP hospital room, the pungent smell of disinfectant hit his nostrils sharply and that made his stomach churn with unease. He hated the hospital and had always hoped that there wouldn't be any reason why he would have to come here. When his eyes landed on Lilith who was lying on the bed, heavily bandaged but alive, his chest twisted with pain.“Aldrich,” she murmured, her voice was barely audible due to the bandage wrapped around her neck, tears streaming down her cheeks. Waves after waves.Lilith regretted everything. Right from the moment that she had received that phone call during breakfast that morning to that moment. She wished she had done many things differently, but now, it was already too late. Regret and guilt were of no use anymore, especially since the man she loved was battling for his life because of her.Instinctively, she tried to sit up but Aldrich quickly closed the distance between them and held her down. “Stay back,” he s

Aldrich's POV “Someone should get Evander for me,” I called out to the guards which I knew would be flanking by the door. “Right away, Alpha,” a voice replied, then followed by the sound of sharp retreating footsteps. I continued looking through the file of the contract. Evander had executed all the road construction and it had been commissioned by the werewolf board. He really did a good job while I had been emotionally unavailable these past few months and I thought I needed to praise him for it and maybe get him a gift too. I had no idea what to gift him though. I grabbed my phone and dialed the car showroom in the kingdom. “Yes, Alpha Aldrich,” a smooth professional voice came over the phone. “How may I be of help to you today?” “I want to order a car. Your latest Porsche. Have it delivered here to the palace in less than twenty minutes.” “Alright, Alpha.” The call ended. Evander had zero interest in material things. I knew the car wouldn't even impress him too mu
