Winston Crowley's pov
“Winnie, The reporters will like to talk to you” Martin called from the door of the locker room, he is my teammate and a close friend. I smiled and nodded, putting on my socks.
I stood up and walked towards the door, passing by Martin then I inhaled the air, almost gasping out from Martin’s scent.
It irritates me all of the sudden.
“Mr Crowley, over here” a reporter called, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
“You have got this captain” Martin said, I glanced up at the tall alpha.
“Thanks” I said and went up to the reporters, “hello”
“Hello,” some answered.
“How do you feel about playing against Crimson icehawks? Especially after their captain knocked you out on your last game together?” A female reporter who I perceived is a beta asked, reminding of the last season, several months ago.
Crimson icehawks and their damn Captain, Orson Vexley.
Orson Vexley is a pompous, arrogant, full of himself bastard.
“Mr Crowley?” One report called
“Yes?”
“You haven't answered the question” the reporter said,
“Erm, Crimson icehawks are a strong opponent and I and my team are not backing down too.” I answered carefully.
Many people suspect Orson and I have more to do with our rivalry but honestly he is just a Jerk who likes to piss off everybody and yet is still loved by many.
“Are you nervous playing against Orson again?” One reporter asked.
The question made me laugh, “What no?” I answered, “Trust me he is good, so am I. The accident happened because it is very common in hockey” I answered, folding my arms.
“Is there more to you and Mr Vexley’s rivalry?” One reporter asked, My eyes landed on the reporter.
I knew they would do this and I wouldn't know how to reply. I just stood there, staring into space.
I remembered the first time I met Orson, he and his damn smirk. We were both rookies playing on the same team in our rookie years but Orson is just a Jerk.
I have always hope that we get along but not anymore.
I don't know if he hated me from the first time he saw me or he just hated everyone.
He is impulsive and confident.
“Mr Crowley?”
“Yeah..I mean no…” I let out a nervous laughter, “We all know how Orson is…he is competitive and that's how everyone is” I answered, out of the corner of my eyes I saw Martin coming.
“Cap, We need to get ready,” he said. I smiled before turning to the reporters.
“I am sorry but that should be all” I said, turning away, ignoring the questions they kept throwing even though they knew I wouldn't answer.
Martin blocked them from following us, His scent heavy in the air, everyone's actually. I felt dizzy as I walked towards the locker, I peeped at the calendar. It is not yet time.
Bile built up in my throat, I felt dizzy. I grabbed the door handle and I grabbed the door frame.
“Captain, come see this” one of my teammates called, urging me to come. I could tell they were watching a video or a reel.
I stood straight, pushing back the bile in my throat and walked up to them. The sounds coming from the phone my teammates were holding was a familiar voice.
The one that pissed me off and surprisely made me laugh sometimes.
“I want Crowley to know that I am not going easy on him and his quack team this season and I am ready to get them out of the game before the series” Orson’s smooth deep voice came out of the phone speaker.
I looked at the phone and Orson was staring straight at the camera, he was shirtless and his dirty blonde hair was pushed back not styled but messy.
Maybe he was trying to get his hair out of his face.
“He so full of himself” one of my teammates scoffed,
“He is getting through with all his assholeric attitude because his family is powerful” another said, my eyes glued on the man on the screen as he makes condescending remarks about my team.
“He can't just stand that Captain is better than his nepo ass” One hissed.
I snapped out of the trance, “Guys, Guys.” I called, “Let's not do that. We have practised a lot and we are good. Let us just show them” I said calmly and they all agreed.
“Let's beat them and send them back to their city!” Someone yelled,
“Yes!” everyone joined,
I laughed, shaking my head and turned to the bench when Martin blocked my way and handed me a bottle of water.
“Thanks,” I took it from him and opened the cap,
He smiled, glancing down at me. The height difference between I and my teammates were obvious. They were taller and bunkier…
“Martin, you are no Omega, the Captain is not going to like you” someone joked, Martin just laughed.
We are just friends and besides everyone thinks I am an alpha too. That's what everyone thought
“You two acts like a couple” Xavier said, he is the team's personal comedian. “Are you one of those Alpha who like Alpha, Martin?”
I sensed Martin went stiff, so I turned to Xavier.
“I am not judging but I know Cap has a type and it is not your bunky ass” Xavier tilted his head watching for Martin’s reaction.
“Bastard” Martin cursed, Walking towards the bench.
“No more jokes, Xavier put on your gears” I said to Xavier as I walked up to Martin, it wasn't the first time Xavier made such jokes it was now a norm.
“Aye, Captain” Xavier mumbled,
I and Martin didn't exchange a word as we put on our gears and uniform, My heart thumped against my chest as I picked up my helmet, matching out the locker room with my teammates.
I will be seeing Orson Vexley face to face again after months.
Winston's pov I sniffed the room, I smelled like Orson.F**k.It's not the type from sleeping in his room or wearing his clothes, it's the type that he intentionally made his scent get on me.Envelope me like he was claiming me.“I smell like you” I lamented, Orson turned grinning, his eyes scanned me “We just had sex” He shrugged, “You look good in my clothes” he stood up walking towards me.“Don't change the topic” I glared, “Okay, I’m sorry but I couldn't help it.” He said when he reached me, he grabbed my hips pulling me close to him. Then he buried his head into my neck, kissing it. “Plus, you smell good with my scent on you”I lifted my head from my neck, I’m still throbbing from this morning encounter. “No, you can't do that”“I know,” he looked down at me with those beautiful green eyes and I couldn't help but give in.My heart skipped.“You're lucky, You're pretty” I muttered.“Ah a compliment?” He grinned, heat rushed through me.My face burning, “Shut up” Orson pull awa
Winston’s POVI woke up with a pounding head and in a strange room.Dark curtains.Deep brown walls and a painting in the center of the room.I looked down at myself. I was in my party attire anymore, but a pajama that doesn't belong to me.I lifted the shirt to smell it.Orson's scent.I'm in his room.“Shit, Nolan.”I threw the cover away. I didn't see him after going downstairs for a dance. The door opened before I could step down from the bed. Orson walked in with a bowl of soup.“You're awake.” His deep voice came.“Yeah.” I nodded. “Did I pass out?”“Yes, you did,” he answered as he placed the bowl of soup on the bedside table. “Then you vomited. You were a mess, Crowley.” His tone was teasing.“Nolan, is he here?” I asked.“He is in the guestroom, still asleep, I guess. He was a little drunk too.”I let out a sigh. “Thanks for helping me.”“You're welcome,” Orson said softly, pushing my hair out of my face. “Now eat.” He grabbed the bowl and gave it to me.I picked up the spoon
Orson’s POVMy jaw tightened as my fists clenched and unclenched.I watched Winston walk out of the kitchen, hurt.F**k.F**k Mila.“I don't know why you wouldn't want to be with me. We are perfect together. All you have to do is propose. Our family already has an agreement,” Mila said softly, stepping closer. “Even your new lap dog is happy for us. He congratu—”“Don't call him a lap dog,” I said sternly. “And I don't wish to get married to you, Mila. If you can see clearly, you would know I don't want to have anything to do with you.”I looked at my sister, who was getting a drink from the fridge. She had a look on her face that said she was enjoying the show.F**king psycho.Mila stepped closer, her hands on my chest. “I never stopped you when it comes to your conquests. You can keep as many as you want. I just want to be yours.”I removed her hand from my chest. “You haven't understood me yet. I said I don't want to. You’ll save us both the stress of future mess if you just accept
Winston’s POVOrson pulled away from me faster than a millisecond. I quickly grabbed the plate of the still-warm pie.“Mila,” I heard Orson say as the woman walked in. He sounded almost frustrated.“Baby,” she said, wrapping her arms around his neck.My chest tightened at the sight.Another woman walked in, blonde and with eyes like Orson’s.“Esme,” Orson called the other woman, peeling Mila off his body. “What are you both doing here?”The blonde woman shrugged. “Mila dragged me along with her.”Orson turned to Mila with a glare. Mila didn’t shrink, but a smile was playing on her lips. Then her words from that night rang in my head.“You didn’t tell us you’re hosting a party. We have to find out from someone else. That isn’t right.” Mila folded her arms with a pout. Her eyes landed on me. She gave me a look before smiling at me.I forced a smile, which definitely appeared awkward.“Mr. Crowley,” she said, her eyes boring into me.“Miss Floyd,” I called, glancing down at the plate.“Mi
Winston’s pov Orson offered to let I and Nolan stay at his place, I refused.I don't want things to get out of hand especially when Nolan is around us.Orson can be impulsive. Very, Very impulsive.I held unto Nolan's hand as we weaved through the crowd, body against body.I could smell drinks, sweats and scent.“What's the party for again?” I heard Nolan asked,“I don't really know” I let out a laugh, “He is strangely nice to you” Nolan pointed out.“He is being less of an asshole” I mused.“Hm, hm” Nolan said, “I might think he doesn't really like me until he asked you bring me along”I almost laugh, The truth is that Orson didn't like anyone but he didn't like Nolan because he thinks our relationship is real.“He doesn't really like anyone, He doesn't like Martin”Speaking of Martin, My best friend is really pissed that I agreed to go to Orson’s party. He had some theory that Orson might want to murder me.But only I know he man wouldn't…His intentions are far from killing.“How
Orson's pov“I still don't get why you're planning a party” Hiram said as he put on his jersey over his gear.“I feel like throwing one” I shrugged, glancing at my phone screen.“You haven't throw a party in what? Three years since Winston Crowley turned down your invitation” Hiram argued.Yeah, one if the reasons I’ve dislike Crowley was when he turned me down after a game together.“What do you mean by that?” I shot my best friend a look.“You invited him as you want me to travel down to his city to seduce his boyfriend” Hiram said in a whisper, “I thought you messing with him like always but it seems to be more than that and I couldn't understand. Expect if you have develop a thing for alphas?” Hiram cocked his sideway to look at me.“Shut up” I hissed.“I see, it's what I thought. I’m not judging. I'm just pissed you won't talk to me” Hiram said.“Whatever” I mumbled, “Are you helping with his boyfriend?”Hiram shot me a look, “I will do it” “He is pretty, your type”“I know. I d
