CHAPTER 1

Natalie POV

I heard someone storm into the classroom, “Hey, everyone! guess what this loser, Natalie wrote in her diary!”

That was Cassian!

I raised my head and saw, My pink diary was in his hand. My body froze. Everyone's eyes fell on me.

No, no, no, no, no.

I quickly got out of my seat and rushed toward him. I tried to grab it from his hand but he's 6’2, a tower compared to me who's 5’2.

He knocked me off with his elbow and shoved me back. I tripped on my feet and fell on my butt, hard.

He opened the diary whilst he stared down at me on the floor. A sinister smirk was plastered on his gorgeous face, his eyes cold as ever, “Everyone, listen to the creepy fantasy this loser has about Kade—and unfortunately, I as well.”

The crowd snickered.

“Another admirer? Leave some for us!” Someone jest.

Cassian flipped through the pages and my hands trembled as he started to read out loud.

“I like him, I know it’s stupid, since he's out of my league but I can’t help it. When he talks to me, my chest feels warm.” Cassian frowns and looks down at me, “at least you're self aware to an extent.”

“Could you…” my voice was cracked and barely audible. “Please give it back now.”

He looked back to my diary, “But there's so much more to read,”

“I wish I could touch and feel his abs. I saw him undressing today and I felt hot all over.”

“I can't stop dreaming about Kade. If only he would give me a chance, I'll be the perfect wife for him and give birth to as many babies as he wants.”

Kade slammed his fist on his desk and let out a low and furious growl, “Fuck, that's gross!” he glared at me and I immediately dropped my gaze. My heart was now pounding in my chest like it was about to jump out.

What could I do to make them stop? I wondered as my vision became increasingly blurry.

Kade sighs, “this is why we can't go around being nice to losers, ask help in an exam once and suddenly they want your babies.”

“What can you do? Creeps just can't resist when they see someone as good looking.” Karl added, his voice laced with contempt.

Cassian rolled his eyes then flicked through the diary, and a wicked grin appeared on his face.

Oh no, that can't be good!

“Mom barely looks at me anymore,” he read. “Sometimes I think she hates me but that can't be true, I'm her daughter.”

The class went quiet.

He turned another page and I forced myself to stand up despite my shaky legs.

I bumped into a desk and stumbled forward, hitting my chin on the floor.

The class roared with laughter again.

Cassian smirked and kept going.

“I don’t know what I did wrong, but I feel she likes Tasha more than me,” he continued. “I try so hard, but it’s never enough. Why doesn't anyone love me?”

The laughter grew louder, kids from other classes started crowding the classroom.

He snapped the diary shut when I got closer and looked down at me. “Wanna know why nobody loves you? It's because everyone can smell your desperation.”

“That's not true!” I yelled as tears rolled down my cheeks. I knew I was out of their league but how could he be so cruel? What's wrong with a simple crush? I didn't kill his pet! Why is he bullying me like this? Being the Alpha's sons doesn't give them the right to treat me like this! It's not right!

“I'm not desperate,” my voice was barely a whisper, “I just…”

I couldn't complete my statement when I realized Cassian was leaning down to my level, “Why would a loser like you ever have feelings for me?” he said. “It’s disgusting. I can’t believe you dared to harbour such feelings.”

He glanced to the side. “Hey, Kade, hand me my bag over there.”

Kade immediately hurled the bag at me and if I didn't duck on time, it would have struck my face.

Cassian caught it with ease. He dropped it to the floor, and pulled out makeup from inside.

“I’m going to need some help over here,” he yelled.

Karl who always sat right behind me noticed what Cassian was about to do and rushed to my side. I too realized their plan instantly. I tried to push my way out, but Karl grabbed my arm before I could reach the door.

At that moment, the teacher walked in.

I felt a sudden wave of relief wash over me.

He would stop all this and I’d be safe for now. I looked at him, pleading with my eyes. This was clear bullying—there was no way he would ignore it.

“I think I forgot something in the teachers’ room. I’ll be back, class. Try to keep decorum,” he said to my dismay, then walked out.

Kade and Cassian immediately turned toward me. Kade gave me a knowing look, as if telling me: “there’s no one willing to save me,”

My body trembled. Deep down I knew he was right. No one was going to help me.

They pinned me to the floor and they drew on my face. I screamed. Tears ran down my cheeks as I begged them to stop, but they didn’t. They painted whatever they wanted on my face.

Karl took a picture of me and posted it on I*******m.

The post went viral quickly as everyone started laughing while staring at their phones then back at me. Many took videos and pictures of their own.

My pupils dilated when I noticed Tasha by the class entrance videoing me with a barely concealed smile on her face.

When she noticed I saw her, she cleared her throat and walked into the classroom, “can I take her? That is if you're done with her.” She asks Cassian as she fights back laughter.

“Get her out of my sight.”

Tasha grabbed my arm and led me out of the room to the bathroom.

I stared at the mirror and began crying all over again.

They rubbed white foundation all over my face and smeared red lipstick on my lips, extending into a twisted smile.

And on my forehead, “DESPERATE” was written across my forehead.

“I don't know why they would do this to me.” I cried as Tasha helped scrub the makeup off.

“They wouldn't target you if you weren't so pathetic,” she snorted, “why write a diary if you can't keep it safe.”

I stared at her wide eyed, “you're saying it's my fault? Those things are supposed to be my private thoughts! They had no business reading it or even in class!”

Tasha groaned, “sorry but I can't handle pity parties so, clean yourself up.” She walked away and I just watched in awe.

I knew it all along. No one, not even my sister loves me. It was clear how much she enjoyed watching them humiliate me.

My phone had been buzzing with notifications since I walked out of class, I picked it up to see the notifications coming from I*******m.

I was tagged in so many videos and pictures of me. The most viral one had the caption: "WHEN YOU'RE SO DESPERATE FOR ATTENTION, YOU'LL DO ANYTHING😂” #JOKERGIRL #DESPERATE. —karl

I kept scrolling and scrolling, it was like I was in a nightmare. Each clip was worse than the last, it felt like a punch to the gut. I could feel my face burning and heart racing.

My legs gave way and I slumped to the ground, my thighs hitting the cold tiles as my vision blurred and I could barely see my screen again.

My phone fell out of my hands

and I slapped my palms over my face, like I could block it all out.

I will never forget this day or what they did to me, never!

CHAPTER 3Natalie POVMy room was quiet as I stared at the ceiling, trying to figure out the who the wolves I saw in the woods were until Tasha stormed into my room, her brows furrowed and a first-aid kit at hand.“Let me see,” she grunted. The mattress dipped under her weight as she sat on the bed, setting the kit down with a dull thud. “I can do it myself, I only asked where the first aid kit is.” “Just let me do it! Unlike you, I care about someone other than myself plus I have to do it properly so it doesn't leave a scar and embarrass us.” I knew my sister, things wouldn't progress either way. I let her do what she wants and get over with the interaction. Her hands were moving fast and rough as she cleaned my chin, I flinched every time her fingers brushed my skin with the pungent smell coming out of the antiseptic which received another grunt. “Tasha, what are you using?" I pinched my nose. Tasha glared at me from underneath her lashes, “don't you dare complain, you wouldn't
