GENEVIEVE'S POV

“Listen, that's the only outfit you're permitted to wear. Alpha Lance personally gave the instruction and if you're not interested, you can use the door!” Madam Helen, our supervisor queried with fury etched on her face and I sighed frustratedly, adjusting the mini dress that could barely cover my thighs. All I requested was permission to put on something decent as it was the guests at the Alpha's dinner I'd be serving, not some men at a strip club.

“I apologise on her behalf, ma'am. You have nothing to worry about, we'll begin to serve the guests immediately,” Brenda, my best friend who introduced me to the job, apologized on my behalf, clasping both hands in front of her and faking a smile to avoid provoking her further.

Ma'am Helen sucked her teeth and shot me a scornful glare before exiting the room, leaving me with Brenda and our other colleagues who seemed really comfortable in the dress that left us half naked. They began to head out of the room but I remained rooted to the spot, trying as much as I could to increase the length by pulling it down but it only exposed a greater portion of my cleavage, revealing my boobs.

“Brenda, I don't think I can do this…” I shrugged, feeling very uncomfortable. A deep frown formed between my brows as I walked closer to the mirror to size up my image.

“Genny, it's just an intimate dinner. The guests present won't be more than fifty. The pay is mouthwatering, you and I know you need this money more than anyone else. Remember your mortgage bills, your mother's debt, Tex’s tuition fees…..” She paused and heaved a sigh.

“I know you're a very hardworking lady. I also know this is not the kind of job you like to do but at this point, you don't have a choice. It's just for tonight, come on– Let's go,” She urged in a convincing tone and I couldn't deny the fact that she had a point.

“Brenda, I heard only men were invited for the dinner, is that true?” I asked to satisfy my curiosity because on our arrival, I heard one of the girls whispering it to the blonde who cared to listen.

“That shouldn't bother you. Just do your thing and avoid looking them in the eye, okay?”

I nodded, taking a deep breath, determined to pull this off. She flashed me a warm smile and we both headed out of the room, towards the kitchen. On our arrival at the kitchen, the other ladies were already leaving with trays containing mouthwatering dishes and I gulped, seeing the sharp glint in ma'am Helen's eyes.

I couldn't help but wonder why she had great resentment towards me. We barely just met some hours ago and even after pleading for a long time, she refused to let me work. She only changed her mind when she realized one of the girls called in sick and I was lucky to be accepted as a replacement.

“Don't stare at me like that, idiots! Get your sluggish asses in here and do your job!” She barked at the top of her voice and we scurried towards the arranged platters and picked them up.

As we headed towards the dining hall, Brenda stepped closer to me with the tray still in her hands. “She can be quite annoying but please, tolerate her excesses. It's just gonna last for a few hours, after which you'll get your pay and leave.” She whispered to my hearing and I nodded, pressing my lips in a thin line.

We finally reached the entrance of the hall and the rate of my heartbeat intensified rapidly as I heard the sound of laughter and subtle conversation being held. I suddenly became nervous and my hands trembled, weakening my hold on the tray.

“Genny, you can't do this here. They're just men, they don't bite. Haven't you worked as a waiter at a strip club before? Why are you acting like an amateur now?” Brenda asked with creased brows, letting out a breath of exasperation. I felt really bad for stressing her out but it was more difficult than I felt it'd be.

“I'll go in first, just walk behind me and no one will notice you, okay?”

I nodded, hoping it'd be as easy as it sounded and I gripped the edges of the tray firmly, shutting my eyes tightly to calm my tense nerves but it didn't help at all. She took the first step and I sluggishly dragged my foot behind her till we were finally inside the grandiose hall.

Deep masculine voices and the clattering sound of cutleries echoed in the hall as the smell of expensive cologne and mouthwatering aroma wafted through my nostrils. I needed no soothsayer to know that only the elites were present and myself and fellow waitresses were the only peasants. I kept my gaze fixed on the golden tiles as I walked towards the table, putting down the tray with a curt bow.

I could feel their lustful gazes fixed on me and a feeling of disgust welled up in my gut. If their prying eyes could take off my dress, I knew I'd be naked the very instant I stepped into the hall. I quickly turned around to leave as the atmosphere became tense and I dashed towards the door.

“Hey… I don't eat shrimps,” A shrewd baritone voice called my attention blankly with indifference and I halted in my tracks, bawling my fists as I cursed under my breath.

Brenda urged me to leave and went ahead to attend to him. “Not you, that girl.” He responded nonchalantly and a knot formed between my brows. Just when I thought I'd be able to breathe for a second, he decided to be a jerk.

I turned around with great reluctance and the slight frown on my face was replaced with actual hatred and disdain the moment I saw the face of the man. The sharp jaw, pointed nose, carved brows, unique almond orbs and signature annoying smile. Such enthralling features possessed by a corky bastard left me wondering if the moon goddess suddenly became partial.

He is the same cocky bastard who forced me to dance, acting all high and mighty, I can't forget that face because it caused me my job before. I still remember that day all too well.

I didn't think such a jerk would have the opportunity to sit amongst the Alpha's distinguished guests which was why I subdued the urge to charge towards him and leave a terrible scratch on his face at first but now that I've seen his face, a thousand ways to send an asshole to hell flashed through my mind and I tried my best to act civil in the presence of the Alpha to avoid being punished.

“Well, shrimp is part of every meal on the menu for tonight. There's nothing I can do for you,” I retorted with a challenging glare, causing heads to turn in my direction. Brenda slightly gave me a nudge from behind and I ignored her. I needed to seize the opportunity to give this bastard a taste of his own medicine.

“If there's nothing for me on the menu…. Can you get yourself on the menu, then?” He lifted a brow, sizing me up flirtatiously and I was blazing with fury.

“You're just a—”

“Watch your tongue, bitch! How dare you speak to my guest in that manner? There's a lot to eat and drink. Now, get this shit off my face and serve him a fresh meal without shrimp!” Alpha Lance ordered in a commanding tone, cutting me off and he flashed me a mischievous smirk that made my stomach churn as I picked up the tray.

“Do you know him?” Brenda asked with a frown as she pulled me away from the hall and I was panting heavily.

“Of course I know him. How can I forget the cause of my downfall? That was the bastard who ordered me to strip at the club for some grands, knowing well that I was a waitress and not a stripper. He threatened to get me fired and guess what? I was sacked the next morning! He seems to be stalking me and I don't know how he got here.” I reeled off with fury blazing in my eyes and she urged me to calm down, which I did after placing the tray on the kitchen counter.

“Who could have thought such an alluringly handsome man would be a jerk? To think I spared him a second glance because of his mesmerising deep blue eyes,” Brenda sneered, staring into space and I rolled my eyes at her.

I was glad ma'am Helen was no longer in the kitchen, if not I would have been dead meat.

“You just joined the team today and you've already landed yourself into trouble. The person you just spoke to in a demeaning tone is the dreaded Alpha André Lopez of the silver lake pack. I don't need to tell you you just dug your own grave, right?” The blonde who was also present in the hall, chimed in sarcastically and I choked on my saliva as my eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

Xander’s POV“André?!” My voice cracked against the dungeon walls as I burst through the doorway, too late to stop any of it.Smoke stung my lungs. The room reeked of blood and burning. Stone scorched. Metal twisted. And right there, in the center of it all, André lay crumpled, unmoving, Theo's body laid unmoving beside him, it looked like André didn't plugged his heart right out of his chest. He was slumped against the wall, his chest torn open, cavity gaping wide. Blood glistened in thick, black puddles. His heart was nowhere near his ribs it was across the floor, discarded like meat. A wet thing that still twitched when I looked at it.But André....He lay on his side, body twisted, face slack. His fingers twitched once, then stilled. His blood smeared the floor in thick, curling lines. Not from wounds. From within. His veins were dark. Too dark. And his skin his skin was steaming like something inside him was burning its way out.“Tex?” I dropped to my knees beside them both, hear

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   Teeth and Fire

André’s POVThe air was thick with blood. Not the kind that made you flinch and move on but the kind that clung to your skin, crawled into your lungs, and stayed there. It coated the stones beneath our boots, smeared across the walls in erratic slashes, like something had painted with carnage. The copper stench hit first sharp and nauseating. Then came the silence. That eerie, unnatural kind that meant death had passed through and was waiting to collect more.Zane was a blur of motion down the corridor, twin blades glinting with fresh red, slicing through what few sentries were left. Behind him, Darius covered the rear, blade raised, his jaw clenched tight. Focused. Ready. But Xander and I we surged forward like bloodhounds on a scent. And it wasn’t just scent. It was him. Tex. Broken or not, he was still alive hopefully, I just pray he is. The bond between him and his sister was something I didn't want to break and I don't want anyone to break it because when that happens, Genevieve

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   The Devil's Leisure

Tex’s POVTheo took a few slow steps forward, his boots crunching faintly on the damp, moss-lined stone floor. The sound echoed like a metronome in the dead space of the cell, each step deliberate, each second stretched thin with menace. He didn’t rush. He never did. That was the worst part about Theo how time seemed to obey him, not the other way around. He moved like it bent for his pleasure, like he was the master of it all, and pain was just another instrument he played like a maestro.I lifted my chin, slow and shaking. It took every scrap of strength I had left just to hold my head up, my muscles taut with exhaustion and fire. I could barely breathe past the ache in my chest, the sharp stab of cracked ribs and bruised lungs. My skin stung with every shift, scraped raw by shackles and stone. But I wouldn't lower my gaze. Not for him.Not now.Because I felt something. Something wrong and right at once, like thunder building behind a stone wall. Help was close. It had to be. I cou

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   Rattling Chains

Tex’s POVTime didn’t exist down here. Not really. Not in the way it used to, time here was hard to tell. There was no sun. No moon. No sense of day or night. Just the cold, damp stone beneath me and the smell of rot that lived in the cracks. I stopped trying to count the hours after the first few cycles of waking and drifting into drugged oblivion. Now, there was only the clink of chains whenever I shifted, the slow, rhythmic drip of water from a pipe overhead, and the low, venomous sting of whatever Theo kept pumping into my veins. Something to keep me weak. Quiet. Obedient.I wasn’t.Even if my body gave out, my mind still clawed and screamed. I held on to the anger. To the memory of who I was. To Genevieve. Her face was sometimes the only thing that kept me from sinking into the dark.My wrists were raw from fighting the cuffs. Ankles too. The skin split open days ago, maybe longer, and now it burned with infection. Every breath tasted like rust, mildew, and defeat.Sleep didn’t c

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   Shadows Beneath Stone

André’s POVThe moon veiled itself behind thick, rolling clouds, plunging the world into a silvery-black shadow the exact cover we needed. We moved like whispers across the forested border, shadows among shadows. Our breath was low, steady. No words. Only signals, flicks of fingers and nods of heads. The bond between my men and I didn’t require sound. It was forged in blood and fire, tested in wars far worse than this but none as personal.Retrieve Tex. Leave no trace. That was the mission. That was the oath.I led them forward, the rough texture of the hand-drawn map etched into my mind’s eye. I remembered everything every thorn-wrapped tree, every bend in the cliffs, every silent slope behind the Angelic Moon Packhouse. This forest had once known my laughter. My footsteps in training. Now it knew the weight of my vengeance, the silence of a ghost who had returned to take back what was his.We reached the first wall one of many invisible defenses wrapped around the estate. Two guards

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   A King’s Gambit

André’s POVThe war room was quiet too quiet.Only the soft crackling of the hearth filled the silence as I stood before the massive oak table at the center of the chamber. A map sprawled across its surface like an open wound, veins of ink and pins slicing across territories, alliances, and threats. Lines meant to contain power. Pins meant to mark danger. Borders meant to keep war at bay.But none of it mattered. None of it could hold my attention.Because my eyes kept drifting again and again to a single black dot on the far eastern edge of the parchment.Angelic Moon Pack. The ink there bled more than the others. Maybe it was my imagination. Maybe it was prophecy. That’s where they were keeping him.Where he was suffering.Tex.Xander stood across from me, arms folded tightly over his chest, his posture radiating barely-contained rage. He looked like a man fighting a storm within his jaw was tense, his breath shallow. His eyes didn’t blink much these days, as if he feared he’d miss
