Naeris

Now this, wasn't what I expected.

"Fuck, Naeris," Nyxion groaned against me, his tongue claiming mine in ways I had never been claimed before. The other triplet brother roamed his hands over my chest and boobs until I let out a strangled moan.

I didn't know what overcame him. One minute, they were dragging me back to those haunted dungeons, and the next, their eyes glowed with their wolves and they pinned me against the wall.

My wolf was lost in the euphoria of their touch that I had forgotten my grief for a moment.

"Nyxion! Are you in here?" I heard a sweet but shrill voice call from inside their room.

Almost immediately, Nyxion shoved me back, my wolf whining as his lips left mine. He muttered something under his breath and stormed off into the room, exchanging a glance with the other two brothers.

"What the hell are we doing?" The taller among the two asked.

I was still trying to get my head together.

"We shouldn't be doing this at all. She needs to get away from us, Verek," The shorter one replied.

Don't get me wrong, the three of them were incredibly tall, but they shared their heights according to what I thought was their age.

"But she's so tempting," Verek drawled as he brought his lips to my ear. I almost let out another moan as his hands slipped inside my dress, moving down to my thighs.

"Verek stop!" The younger triplet growled. I could tell he was restricting himself more than he was letting me see.

"Who were you with in here..." I heard the same sweet voice from earlier.

"Shit, Aerila's coming. Let's go Aeron." I heard Vereke mutter as they dragged me away from the hall.

I was stuck in a daze, trying to get my wolf to stop howling for their touch. But she kept screaming mate in my head, and I was so emotionally drained that I just let her do what she wanted.

Verek and Aeron kept going until they got to the dreadful walls of the dungeon. Something in me snapped.

"No, no no please. I can't do this. I can't go back, please don't make me go back, I'll do anything," I begged, refusing to stand so they dragged me against the floor.

"Stand up goddamnit!" Verek growled, pulling at my arms until they hurt. But I didn't budge.

"Please I can't go back. I'll die in there," I hiccuped, tears falling in streams down my cheeks.

Aeron took a glance at me, and something in his expression softened. "Verek, can't we negotiate something with Nyxion? She can be of use. Besides, my wolf's been acting up lately and he only showed himself when I touched her," he whispered.

Verek paused, his grip on my arm loosening slightly. He regarded me with an odd expression, and let out a sigh.

"Fine. Take her to my room before Aerila comes out," He muttered.

"Thank you, thank you," I sobbed until my tears dried out as they pulled me towards his room.

My body went limp as they ushered me in, and before I could register the surroundings in my mind, I blacked out. The last thing I remembered was Aeron muttering something softly as his hands stroked my hair.

When I woke up, the smell of lavender and something warm swept into my nose. My wolf purred against me, urging me to go towards the sound.

"Finally, you're awake," I flinched as the male voice registered in my ears. I swiveled around on the bed, brushing the hair away from my face.

It was Aeron. My eyes studied his features. Bright amber eyes, thick dark straight hair, and small plump pink lips. He was as hot as both of his brothers, but carried a certain innocence.

"I prepared a bath. Get showered, wear this," He pointed to a uniform on the bed. "And meet me outside. Nyxion has a job for you."

My eyes fell on the uniform, and they widened as I realized it was a maid's uniform. When I was in Talon's pack, maids were made to wear rags and everything that made it obvious that we were low lives. But here, apparently, the maids can look like living things. It didn't change the fact that they still saw me as nothing.b

"Okay," I mumbled, the euphoria of their touch earlier completely erased from my mind.

"Be quick about it," He said harshly, and left the room. I flinched slightly as the door slammed shut.

I glanced towards the bathroom, allowing the numb feeling in my chest spread throughout my body.

I was tired.

I had spent three days in the dungeons beneath the pack house of the Alpha Triplets, but not once did I ever feel as alive as I did when Nyxion had kissed me, and Verek and Aeron had their hands all over my body.

The darkness down there gave me chills, made me hallucinate, and before long, I began to have panic attacks from the day my parents were killed. Each time, I heard my mother's shrill cry and the look on my father's face as his head was cut off. I felt something in me die whenever the images flashed, and I knew if I stayed there any longer, I probably would.

I still wanted to live.

But what exactly was there to live for? I had basically moved from the frying pan straight into the fire.

Mate. My wolf kept howling. It smelled like Aeron was outside, waiting at the door.

No, they can't be my mates. My first mate rejected me, and they kept me locked up the second they brought me to their pack. Mates don't act that way, and moreover, I could never have a harem with them.

I would die, just like my parents.

I let out a soft sigh and took off the rags on my body, trying not to allow the beauty of Verek's room to distract me. Of course, they were royalty. I shouldn't even think about overstaying my welcome here.

I walked towards the mirror in the room, looking at my naked body. My eyes were red and puffy, and my face dirty from all the nights in the dungeon, but somehow I still looked pretty.

"Just survive for now," I muttered. But as I turned around to walk into the bathroom, the door to the room opened abruptly.

My attention was drawn to the string injected into my arm. The new Pack's doctor, Eren smiled warmly as he noticed my glance.“I bring news concerning the slave,” He said, pausing to breathe heavily. “Alpha Nyxion and the Council cast their votes half an hour ago, and they have thrown the slave in the dungeon,”My ears perked up at the news and I turned sharply to him, “Really? Are you sure she's in the dungeon?”“Yes, Lady Aerila," His face brightened and his lips stretched into a smile.A twisted smile curled on my lips as joy surged through me. 'Finally! Nyxion discarded that bitch! Now she knows where she truly belongs!'My hands squeezed the armrests as I savored my victory. How I wished to

Nyxion's POV“A-alpha Nyxion,” Her face went pale as she stared at me, her eyes wide with shock.I stood frozen in place as her words echoed in my head. I never wanted him!She had never once considered me as her mate. Was that why she did it?My hands clenched tightly, squeezing the paper in my hand. My wolf snarled, pacing back and forth in my head while laying words of mockery at me.“Alpha Nyxion.” A cold voice sounded behind me. “ What's with the delay? We already have enough evidence to support the incident. Why are you not issuing the order?”Elder Xavier's words echoed through the hall, and my eyes fell on Naeris. I saw the confusion on her face and I nearly believed she was innocent. However, the crumpled paper in my hand said the complete opposite.“Give me a minute.” My voice sounded hoarse in my ears. “I have to question her to know if the content in the paper is real,”“That's unacceptable, Alpha Nyxion. We made an agreement back in the Council Room to throw the instigato

Naeris’s POVI laughed, a soft, genuine sound.Aeron shifted until he sat beside me, stroking my hair and telling me about his plans. Apparently, there was this competition coming up, and he wanted to try out.“With all the times you go for training, I think you’ll do pretty well,” I said, brushing my fingers against his arm.He smirked, that same innocent smirk that always got me. “You think? I have a lot of practice wounds.”I chuckled. “Part of the process, isn’t it?”He smiled fully, pulling me into his arms and planting a kiss on my temple. His scent calmed both me and my wolf, even though we both tried to ignore the throbbing pain in my heart.Silence settled over the room for a bit, but a comfortable one that almost made me drift to sleep. He watched me for a long moment before finally breaking the silence. “Naeris.” His tone was gentle, but I heard the steel beneath it. “I’ve been thinking… I don't think you should stay in the pack house with us. It’s not safe for you here.”M

Naeris's POV“What do you think is going to happen?” Hushed voices echoed in my ears as I slowly regained consciousness. “I don't know. I heard from the foot servant that the Alpha has gone mad. There's no telling what will become of us if it consumes him.” A softer voice whispered, and the sound of water splashing in a bowl filled my ears. I felt a presence beside me, and soon after, something warm was placed on my forehead. A warm cloth.“Tsk, why do we have to be the ones suffering from the clashes? I hate working here,” The first voice snapped, anger visible in her voice. “Shh, Anna.” The softer voice whispered, paused, then continued, “You should be careful with your words else you might get killed.”Anna humped, then said, “Isn’t that what will happen to every worker in the pack one day? What's wrong with speaking my mind?” “Well, I agree with you on that but you still have to be careful,” The girl said. “Fine, I hear you, Gwen,” Anna grumped, paused, then continued, “Who's

Nyxion’s POVThe fire in my heart crackled, but it did nothing to soften the chill in my chest.I had dismissed the servants an hour ago, yet the scent of Aerila’s perfume still clung to me like a reminder. Every time I closed my eyes, I didn’t see her face, or the thin cut on her wrist she’d flaunted as proof of Naeris’s supposed treachery.I saw Naeris instead, her eyes wide, her lips parted as though she wanted to speak but couldn’t. And then the sharp sting in my chest when I’d turned my back on her, letting Aerila’s words cloud my reasoning.A low growl slipped from my throat before I could stop it. My wolf stirred uneasily, pacing inside me.“You damned fool!" He snarled.Clenching my hands, I ignored him. Or at least I tried to.The door opened without a knock, and I snapped my head towards it. A familiar scent wafted through my nostrils, causing my brows to knit tightly. Only one person had the audacity, and it wasn’t my brothers.“Busy thinking again, Alpha?” Draven’s voice c

Aeron’s POVNaeris’s tears undid me.I had seen her angry, seen her stubborn, seen her stand tall in front of people who wanted her to shrink. But this shattering was new. Her hands clutched the blanket like it was the only thing keeping her from breaking apart entirely, and the sobs wracked through her chest before she could stop them. Her tears weren’t delicate. They were raw. Ugly. The kind that carved lines down her face and made her breaths hitch sharp enough to hurt. And I hated it, not her, never her, but the world that had driven her to this.I sat on the edge of her bed, not touching her yet.My wolf strained forward, restless, wanting to hold her, to cover her in warmth and strength until she forgot pain existed. But Naeris was proud, and I’d learned the hard way that she didn’t let anyone see her weakness easily. So I waited, let her cry until she needed me.When she finally looked up at me, her eyes were swollen, her lashes clumped with tears. Her voice cracked as she whis
