Chapter Seven

Being sent to the gallows was a much better fate than the words that had just spilled out of Lenore’s mouth. Consummation she said. It was traditional, a wedding night special for newly mated beings.

I didn’t think of it,that I would be forced to sleep with a monster I barely knew until a few hours ago. I didn’t think I would even marry him, be bound to him for eternity. I never thought I would be claimed by such a being.
