LOGINChapter Two
Claim? Mate? The naked man’s words made no sense to me. “I— “Stay back!” Zayn ordered me as he growled, “This is clearly a mad man looking to cause trouble.” He said to him, “Go away. This is no place for tolerance to intruders, I will hurt you that’s for sure.” He laughed, the beautiful naked man laughed, a wicked guffaw, “So strong and yet so naive.” I let out another surprise gasp. Most would cower in the face of the Alpha, but he stood headstrong, he was unfazed by Zayn’s threats. It scared me, the naked man scared me greatly. “What do you want?” My fiancée asked again. “I won’t repeat myself,” He now looked at me, those blue eyes, “I’m here for her.” Me?? “Go away!” Father now yelled as he stepped between my fiancée and the one who came for me, “There’s no place for you here Rowan!” Rowan. I gasped again. Rowan, that’s the name of the man. “You know him??” I said aloud from behind Zayn. “Oh my darling Anora.” Our eyes met this time as he called my name, the one where to claim me supposedly. My name felt like music from his mouth to my ears, a sensual drawl. I felt the magnet again, pulling me towards him despite as I grounded my legs to the stone floor. Who was this man? Why was he here to claim me? So many questions permeated my feeble little mind, almost making me dizzy as my head spun around looking for answers. I heard father’s growl as his claws sharpened out. “Go away Rowan. She will never be— “It’s been ten years Alphonse. I gave you exactly ten years.” He said “It’s not enough Rowan and you know it. I would rather rid my daughter of her pure soul than let you corrupt it.” Father responded. I watched the onslaught of words, confused and befuddled as to what was happening right in front of me. I was obvious they both knew each other, with secrets clearly involving my very being…..secrets I was never told. I felt it again. The tug. A magnet. Pulling me towards him. Our eyes met again, “I know you feel it too Anora. I know you feel the bond between us.” Bond?? “Stay away from her!!” Zayn yelled as he turned to face me, “I’ll protect you Anora, that’s a promise.” I nodded, an unconscious gesture as I wasn’t even sure what I was being protected from. Zayn lunged at him, a sharp attack which I’ve seen before, one which plummeted his enemies to the ground immediately but— “Zayn!!!” I screamed in shock as the naked man took the brunt of my fiancées attack. The other townspeople also gasped loudly as he grabbed onto Zayn’s neck, seeing the spectacle of their Alpha being dangled from the ground. The distraught on my face couldn’t be mistaken for anything else. I covered my mouth with both hands, my eyes glowered as he hurled my fiancée like a piece of paper towards the temple door. Zayn let out a sharp squeal as he his back was rammed against the badd steel doors. “You monster!!!” Father cried out, also in a defensive stance. “Monster?” He replied, walking towards the both of us now, “You know what you did Alphonse. You hid my mate from me. I gave you ten years to bring her to me, ten years to right your wrongs, ten years Alphonse. Now I’m here to claim what’s mine.” I blinked, my eyes brimming with tears now as I sensed the danger my father was in, “Wh…what is he talking about father.” He turned to me, those blue eyes again, I felt another tug, “Anora. You called out to me and I came.” “Who are you?” I asked, “Wh…what are you??” “Run away Anora.” Father said as he blocked me now, for some reason there was an urge to push him out of the way, “Run away and never come back. It’s a much better fate than being with the devil spawn himself.” Devil spawn? There so many questions, so many answers. I needed all of it. I remained transfixed on the spot despite my father’s warnings, almost like I was waiting for him—the naked one, it felt like I was waiting for him to come get me. What was this feeling?? This feeling of completeness? “Spawn?” He chuckled now, that same wicked laugh, “I’ve given you enough time Alphonse. Move away now, I won’t repeat myself.” “Anora Run.” Father warned again. I remained grounded. “Leave my daughter alone.” “I can’t.” He said, “I’ve tried Alphonse. Ten years I’ve tried, now I can’t—I’m here for what’s rightfully mine.” “Anora Run.” Father warned for the third time. For the third time again, I remained frozen, unable to move…unwilling to move. He veered closer now and father lunged at him, a clear defensive attack and with the back of a hand— “Father!!!” I cried out, as my father was backhanded to the temple’s door, the exact spot as my fiancée. The tears in my eyes started to stream down now, the other townsfolk all cowered off in panic as two of their most strongest warriors had just been defeated without a sweat. “Cowards!!” I yelled at all of them. I rose from the ground now, wiping the back of my hands as I made to walk towards my father unconscious body when he grabbed onto my arm, I turned—-those eyes again. He was still naked. “Anora.” “Who are you?” “I’m your mate.” I gasped, my mate, it made no sense whatsoever, “Wh…What are you?” With the flicker of his finger, his nakedness was finally gone and a black robe enveloped him, velvet in all its glory and inside it—a red tunic. He was godlike, my eyes couldn’t help but marvel at the sight. “What are you?” I asked again. “I am the Blood Moon King Anora Maddox” He replied, “And you are my mate.”Chapter Twenty **ANORA** “Wh…what are you…what are you doing??” I stammered as he came onto me until I was backed up against the desk. Damn his wicked eyes, his piercing gaze, strong enough to break my will and make my legs reduce to nothing. I gulped hard as he veered even closer, both his hands placed on both sides of the desk as he trapped me in between. My throat Ds even more dry, not even the supplest of wines should lubricate it. “What do you want from me?” “You” “Huh?” “It’s simple.” He said, brushing a stray hair off my forehead, “Have I ever told you how beautiful you are Anora? You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.” I rolled my eyes, not wanting to be flattered but for some reason my cheeks couldn’t help but get heated up, “Please go away.” “It’s hard.” His voice silky, “It’s hard being this close to you, and not able to do anything about it.” I stared at him glumly, he’d shaven too, “Well what’s stopping— I
Please excuse me.” She suddenly rushed out and I was left all alone. Despite the perceived danger I felt for what was to come, I couldn’t help but glance around the bath area. It was beautiful—white coarse tiles with intricate curves and shapes from blue marbled stone, creating an intricate piece of artwork. Each corner was adorned with beautiful flowers and incense trays. The ambience was nice, unlike anything I’d ever seen or experienced before. It made me feel crazy almost wanting to feel relaxed, even though I was in a pool of milk. Lenore returned a few minutes later, her sudden arrival made me flinch so hard that I got a little of the bath milk into my mouth. I coughed out loud, disgusted to say the least. Chapter Twenty two A week passed and it became the normal routine. My mate and I no longer shared a bed. I walk out during breakfast, and dinner, he does the same. The visitor still remains in the manor, barely speaking a word to me, ignoring my very presence even. Lenore became quieter, only doing as she was told and unwilling to even look me in the eye. She woke me up from my slumber to tell me breakfast was ready, no longer delegated to my bath duties as she was now assigned to serve the guest before me. This was my life now. All I do is read, eat, miss my life back home and sleep. My mate no longer cares all because of his new lover. I should be glad, grateful even that he was out of my hair but for some reason I couldn’t help but hate him even more. He stole me from my father, made my life a living hell and now he’s kept me in a secluded area, acting like i didn’t exist anymore. I grunted out loud as I walked out of bed to the window, there I watched him—with her
