Chapter 5
Adolfa POV
"Ouch," I groaned in pain as the cruel school nurse, a woman who treated us slaves with disdain, cleaned my wound with antiseptic. It was one of the few times I’d ever been cared for, yet her harsh, rude manner only made it worse—each touch felt wicked and unforgiving.
"If you had just kept your mouth shut and hadn’t dragged your cousin Emily into this mess, none of this would have happened," a voice snapped from behind me. I turned to my right, searching for the source of the harsh words.
Luckily, I noticed it was Alpha Lyran. He stood tall and dangerous, with a strong presence that radiated power and confidence. Fearless, nothing seemed to faze him.
Above, the clouds moved slowly across the sky—some dark, others flowing gently with the breeze, giving the air a cool, calming touch.
Alpha Berra continued to pester me with countless questions.
"Why did you feel the need to expose our territory to your cousin? You're nothing but peasants—people who will never rise to anything. You’re not even proud of yourselves."
I took a deep breath, my voice steady despite the rising anger. "As I’ve said before, there’s no reason for this. I’m proud to be a Lycan, and nothing will stop me, no matter what." I clenched my fists in fury, the pain from my infected wounds intensifying as the cruel nurse continued to clean them.
Over an hour had passed, and still, Alpha Lyran and Alpha Berra continued their cruel treatment, mocking me with every word. I had been forced into the nurse's office, where I tried to clean my wounds with rushing water from the tap, but it wouldn’t stop bleeding—an endless, painful flow.
"You’re always crossing the line," Alpha Berra’s voice echoed in my mind. "Can’t you stay out of trouble for just one day?" His groggy eyes glared at me, cold and unforgiving—eyes I’d never seen directed at me before.
The school nurse, a werewolf, worked for Alpha Berra and Alpha Lyran’s pack. She moved with cold efficiency, her presence like a shadow hanging over me. She wasn’t just a nurse—she was their enforcer, and I was at her mercy.
Luna Prese had always been deeply fond of Alpha Lyran—they had been close friends since childhood. Yet, despite their bond, Alpha Lyran had never chosen her as his mate. Prese, however, knew all too well that many Alphas had turned me into their sexual slave—especially her one true love and crush, Alpha Lyran. She thought to herself, This is just the beginning. The battle line has only just been drawn.
For a brief moment, I wondered how I had been able to hear her thoughts. But then I remembered something an old man had told me when I was younger. He said I was the reincarnated Goddess of the Lycans, Werewolves, Wereravens, Wereboars, Weresharks, and Werefoxes. Our powers were intertwined, and once fully activated by the Moon Goddess, nothing would be able to defeat me.
He had warned me that my awakening would bring chaos across the districts, especially for the witches, who would be destroyed by my presence. “Nothing will ever stop you, Adolfa,” he had said, his voice fading as he vanished into the clouds.
I could feel the ancient power of the Lycans flowing through my veins. Their gazes were fixed on me, but in Prese’s mind, she was already deciding my fate. She thought there was no reason to keep me alive—I was useless, and in her thoughts, the only solution was to have me executed.
I cleared my throat, hoping to break her train of thought. "I've done nothing but stay out of trouble, yet you want to humiliate me and execute me. If that’s your plan, why even bother treating my wounds or keeping me alive?"
For a moment, Prese looked startled. She was clearly confused about how I had heard her thoughts. Maybe it was just luck, she thought, but deep down, I knew she was uncertain.
Prese was already planning to meet with the pack to discuss my public execution. Everything in the air grew Intense, and I could feel the situation becoming more serious with each moment.
PRESE POV
"Attention, everyone. I bring to your notice that Adolfa, the Lycan with no lineage, will be executed by beheading within the Greko Pack. This is my final judgment. She has violated the rules and conduct of our pack, and if she is not executed, she could endanger us all.
They growled, causing murmurs to ripple through the pack.
"Who supports my opinion, and which day should the execution take place? I need answers urgently."
The room fell silent as Alpha Lyran entered with an air of confidence, his eyes shining with authority. The werewolves in the auditorium immediately bowed before him, paying homage to their Alpha.
"Prese, I didn't object to your opinion, but she’s my sexual slave. You can’t just execute or kill her without the Alpha's stamp."
"I know, Alpha Lyran," Prese replied, looking into his eyes with affection. "That’s why I brought this up, to know what we should do next. Just say something, Alpha Lyran," she spoke with passion.
"I don't know which judgment to give," Lyran said, his voice thoughtful. "But if you can give valid reasons for her execution, it won't take us less than four months to carry it out."
"Alpha Lyran, I value your presence and everything we've shared since childhood," Prese said calmly. "But you know my sincerity, and whenever something bothers me, you always know. Please, consider this."
"I've always believed in you," Alpha Lyran reassured her, "but in scenarios like this, it’s different. I’m not the only one involved—the council of the six districts is as well. If there’s solid evidence, I will change my mind."
Prese paused for a moment before speaking again. "Well, when I was tending to that low-life peasant, Adolfa’s wound, I was thinking of something. And before I said it, she already knew what I was about to say. Isn’t that suspicious? It seems she possesses a power none of us understand. Please, let’s execute her before she uses it against us."
"This is serious," Lyran said. "But, since I know you, and whenever you are generous in your thoughts, I will consider your request.
The Lycans are pathetic creatures, and if one of them possesses such power, only one powerful Lycan can de
stroy us all. But we will prevent that from happening."
Chapter 55Staria POVThe moment I activated the messenger mirror, the swirling mist within it glowed and shimmered, forming the sharp, elegant face of Queen Amira—Spirit World Queen and my true master. Her piercing silver eyes met mine, even through the magical portal."Report, Staria," she commanded, her tone firm yet calm.I bowed my head respectfully. "Queen Amira, Azanlin has gone quiet. Ugarh is celebrating his three-year reign. The entire Betmor Kingdom is distracted."She smirked slightly. "Good. Keep him occupied. I am monitoring his movements on this end. He won’t step beyond his limits. Not without consequence.""Yes, my queen," I replied with reverence. "The tracker in his blood vessels and core is still active."Queen Amira gave a single nod before the mirror dimmed and faded to black, signaling the end of our communication. I tucked it away carefully, my expression shifting from dutiful to calculating. Not long after, I heard the swift, strong steps of Ugarh storming int

Chapter 53Ugarh POVAfter my night with Lily, everything felt different. It wasn’t like the usual times we shared. This one felt real. Like something deeper connected us. Like she wasn’t just my lover—she was my future.I sat on the edge of the bed, running a hand through my hair. Lily lay next to me, half-covered in the sheets, her fingers slowly tracing circles on my back."You're quiet," she whispered. "Too quiet.""Just thinking," I replied without turning."About me?"I glanced over my shoulder, smirking. "Always."She smiled, then sat up, pulling the sheet to her chest. "Tell me what's bothering you."I exhaled. "I asked you to be my queen. Now I can’t stop wondering... did I make the right choice?""You doubt me?""No, never you. I doubt myself. If I made the right decision. If the kingdom will accept it. If they'll accept *us*."Lily crawled closer, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. "You didn’t choose a perfect woman. You chose a real one. And I chose you. We either face
Chapter 52Ugarh POVI walked through the stone hallways of Betmor Palace toward the Elders' chamber. My boots echoed with each step, and though I was calm on the outside, I felt curious. What could the Elders want with me now? When I entered the grand chamber, the Elders stood and bowed slightly."Welcome, Lord Ugarh," Elder Bram said."Thank you," I nodded. "You sent for me?"Elder Mira stepped forward, her long robes brushing the floor. "We did. But worry not, it's nothing alarming. We only wish to thank you for your service to Betmor. Your leadership these past three years has been strong."Another Elder, Jorim, added, "We are proud to stand behind you. The kingdom prospers."I nodded again, relief washing over me. "I appreciate your support. Betmor is my heart, and I’ll always protect it."With formal bows, I took my leave and walked quickly back to my private chambers. I had kept Lily waiting too long. When I entered, she was sitting near the window, staring at the moon. She tur
Chapter 51Ugarh POVI left Azanlin’s realm the Forge Kingdom and returned to Betmor.Today was special—the third anniversary of my reign since my father passed. The palace was alive with music, lights, and the buzz of celebration. But none of it mattered as much as what I planned to do next.Tonight, I would reveal Lily. My secret lover. My chosen queen. She wasn’t born into royalty, but she had something more—strength, beauty, fire. And she was mine.I went to my chamber and sent a message for her to come. My hands were behind my back as I waited by the window, pretending to admire the view. But truly, I was thinking of her. Then the door opened."You called for me, my king?" Lily’s voice floated in like a breeze.I turned. My heart jumped. She looked even more beautiful than before. Her long black hair shone in the light, and her curves—especially her full breasts—made my breath catch."You’ve changed," I said, walking toward her. "And I like it."She smiled and tilted her head. "Th
Chapter 50Adolfa's POVThanatos’s dozen figures darted after me, moving like shadows cloaked in smoke. I twisted and sprinted, dodging left, sliding across molten ground, leaping over shattered bones and flaming debris. His presence alone made the realm tremble. I couldn’t let him get too close—if he touched me, it was over.“He’s too dangerous,” I muttered to myself, breath ragged. “Too dangerous to fight head-on.”Each step I took seemed slower than the last, as though the hellish air was pulling me down. Thanatos didn’t even chase me in one form—his clones surrounded me, each of them burning from the inside, fire oozing from their mouths, eyes, and pores. The intensity of their flames scorched my skin even from a distance.I rolled behind a crumbled column of black stone, gripping my side where part of my cloak had ignited. Pain flared. The burns were real."You think this is hot, Adolfa?" Thanatos’s voice boomed from everywhere. "It’ll get hotter. Much, much hotter."I squinted t
