Chapter 5

Adolfa POV

"Ouch," I groaned in pain as the cruel school nurse, a woman who treated us slaves with disdain, cleaned my wound with antiseptic. It was one of the few times I’d ever been cared for, yet her harsh, rude manner only made it worse—each touch felt wicked and unforgiving.

"If you had just kept your mouth shut and hadn’t dragged your cousin Emily into this mess, none of this would have happened," a voice snapped from behind me. I turned to my right, searching for the source of the harsh words.

Luckily, I noticed it was Alpha Lyran. He stood tall and dangerous, with a strong presence that radiated power and confidence. Fearless, nothing seemed to faze him.

Above, the clouds moved slowly across the sky—some dark, others flowing gently with the breeze, giving the air a cool, calming touch.

Alpha Berra continued to pester me with countless questions.

"Why did you feel the need to expose our territory to your cousin? You're nothing but peasants—people who will never rise to anything. You’re not even proud of yourselves."

I took a deep breath, my voice steady despite the rising anger. "As I’ve said before, there’s no reason for this. I’m proud to be a Lycan, and nothing will stop me, no matter what." I clenched my fists in fury, the pain from my infected wounds intensifying as the cruel nurse continued to clean them.

Over an hour had passed, and still, Alpha Lyran and Alpha Berra continued their cruel treatment, mocking me with every word. I had been forced into the nurse's office, where I tried to clean my wounds with rushing water from the tap, but it wouldn’t stop bleeding—an endless, painful flow.

"You’re always crossing the line," Alpha Berra’s voice echoed in my mind. "Can’t you stay out of trouble for just one day?" His groggy eyes glared at me, cold and unforgiving—eyes I’d never seen directed at me before.

The school nurse, a werewolf, worked for Alpha Berra and Alpha Lyran’s pack. She moved with cold efficiency, her presence like a shadow hanging over me. She wasn’t just a nurse—she was their enforcer, and I was at her mercy.

Luna Prese had always been deeply fond of Alpha Lyran—they had been close friends since childhood. Yet, despite their bond, Alpha Lyran had never chosen her as his mate. Prese, however, knew all too well that many Alphas had turned me into their sexual slave—especially her one true love and crush, Alpha Lyran. She thought to herself, This is just the beginning. The battle line has only just been drawn.

For a brief moment, I wondered how I had been able to hear her thoughts. But then I remembered something an old man had told me when I was younger. He said I was the reincarnated Goddess of the Lycans, Werewolves, Wereravens, Wereboars, Weresharks, and Werefoxes. Our powers were intertwined, and once fully activated by the Moon Goddess, nothing would be able to defeat me.

He had warned me that my awakening would bring chaos across the districts, especially for the witches, who would be destroyed by my presence. “Nothing will ever stop you, Adolfa,” he had said, his voice fading as he vanished into the clouds.

I could feel the ancient power of the Lycans flowing through my veins. Their gazes were fixed on me, but in Prese’s mind, she was already deciding my fate. She thought there was no reason to keep me alive—I was useless, and in her thoughts, the only solution was to have me executed.

I cleared my throat, hoping to break her train of thought. "I've done nothing but stay out of trouble, yet you want to humiliate me and execute me. If that’s your plan, why even bother treating my wounds or keeping me alive?"

For a moment, Prese looked startled. She was clearly confused about how I had heard her thoughts. Maybe it was just luck, she thought, but deep down, I knew she was uncertain.

Prese was already planning to meet with the pack to discuss my public execution. Everything in the air grew Intense, and I could feel the situation becoming more serious with each moment.

PRESE POV

"Attention, everyone. I bring to your notice that Adolfa, the Lycan with no lineage, will be executed by beheading within the Greko Pack. This is my final judgment. She has violated the rules and conduct of our pack, and if she is not executed, she could endanger us all.

They growled, causing murmurs to ripple through the pack.

"Who supports my opinion, and which day should the execution take place? I need answers urgently."

The room fell silent as Alpha Lyran entered with an air of confidence, his eyes shining with authority. The werewolves in the auditorium immediately bowed before him, paying homage to their Alpha.

"Prese, I didn't object to your opinion, but she’s my sexual slave. You can’t just execute or kill her without the Alpha's stamp."

"I know, Alpha Lyran," Prese replied, looking into his eyes with affection. "That’s why I brought this up, to know what we should do next. Just say something, Alpha Lyran," she spoke with passion.

"I don't know which judgment to give," Lyran said, his voice thoughtful. "But if you can give valid reasons for her execution, it won't take us less than four months to carry it out."

"Alpha Lyran, I value your presence and everything we've shared since childhood," Prese said calmly. "But you know my sincerity, and whenever something bothers me, you always know. Please, consider this."

"I've always believed in you," Alpha Lyran reassured her, "but in scenarios like this, it’s different. I’m not the only one involved—the council of the six districts is as well. If there’s solid evidence, I will change my mind."

Prese paused for a moment before speaking again. "Well, when I was tending to that low-life peasant, Adolfa’s wound, I was thinking of something. And before I said it, she already knew what I was about to say. Isn’t that suspicious? It seems she possesses a power none of us understand. Please, let’s execute her before she uses it against us."

"This is serious," Lyran said. "But, since I know you, and whenever you are generous in your thoughts, I will consider your request.

The Lycans are pathetic creatures, and if one of them possesses such power, only one powerful Lycan can de

stroy us all. But we will prevent that from happening."
