By the time I left Umma’s quarters, the sun had begun to dip into the horizon as evening closed in. I felt lighter than I did earlier. That was what having a moment with Umma does for me.

I know I should head to the site and see the work being done, but I needed to see Anisa. She was asleep when I got home last night, as she was when I left earlier this morning. I can’t wait for the luna ceremony so we can share the same bedroom. That is, if she agrees and is comfortable with that.
