Chapter 20- Mafia Rejection

Fear gripped me, and I was shocked. I could hear the entire conference room holding its breath as they stared at me, but my eyes remained fixed on my father.

Growing up as the illegitimate daughter in a billionaire family, I always had everything I wanted, except a real bond with my father.

My mother told me they were together when I was born, but because of her status, he couldn't marry her. He came from a well-known family, and instead, he married Vivian when I was just a year old.

I once longed for a closer connection with him, but it was hard. His wife kept him tightly controlled, always pushing me away. Even though he tried to bring me into his life, Vivian scared me off, and Vespera never missed a chance to mock me.
