Chapter 1

Author: Peachy
Just before our Luna Ceremony, my mate, Alpha Killian, rejected me. He declared that the pack's Luna had to be a gentle Omega, Mia.

"The ceremony is off."

Killian's voice cut like a blade.

I was still dazed from our passion, his scent still clinging to my skin.

But he was already on his feet, pulling on his jacket.

A wave of his cold Alpha command washed over the room, snuffing out the mingled scents of our bodies.

"What?" I thought I'd misheard him.

"You heard me, Sera," Killian said without turning around, straightening files on his desk. "The Blackwood Pack needs a gentle Omega Luna to bear its heirs, not a Beta warrior with the blood of our enemies on her hands."

I sat on the sofa in his office, staring at his cold, hard back.

Eight years.

Eight years of fighting and bleeding for him.

Eight years of absolute loyalty.

Eight years of standing by his side.

All for nothing because of that Mia?

"Last week's border skirmish," I said, my voice steady. "I was the one who drove back the intruders. Where were you?"

Killian finally turned, a flicker of discomfort in his eyes.

"I was calming the pack."

"You were calming Mia," I corrected him. "While she was trembling in your arms, I was on the front lines, killing our enemies."

"Mia's gentle nature is the pack's greatest treasure," his tone hardened. "It's not her fault."

Of course, it wasn't her fault.

It was mine.

My mistake was being too strong, making him feel threatened.

My mistake was being too loyal, letting him take me for granted.

My mistake was believing an Alpha and a Beta could ever find true love.

"You think I'll just obey? Like I always do?"

I stood up and walked toward his desk.

It was covered in trophies and awards, every single one of them earned through my victories.

The most prominent was a crystal trophy—"Blackwood Pack's Strategist of the Year."

I had won that for him.

Killian reached for my shoulder, probably about to try one of his "calming" tricks.

"Sera, I know this is hard to accept, but for the future of the pack—"

My hand shot out and grabbed the crystal trophy.

CRACK.

Sharp fragments dug deep into my palm, and blood welled up instantly.

Killian froze.

I held up my bleeding hand.

The crimson drops blossomed against the crystal, stark and visceral, like morbid roses blooming on glass.

"My blood won you this," I said, gesturing to the shattered trophy with my bleeding hand. My voice was so calm it was chilling. "And now, I'm taking back everything I've earned for you."

"We are here to announce the founding of a new empire."Damien stood on the main stage of the great assembly hall, his voice broadcast across the entire wolf world. The leaders and representatives from every pack sat below, their eyes fixed on us."The Ironfang and Silvermoon packs are officially merged," I said, taking the microphone, my tone calm and regal. "Together, we will forge a new, unified empire."Thunderous applause erupted. It wasn't polite or obligatory; it was born from genuine shock and awe. The merger of the two most powerful packs marked the dawn of a new era."Her Majesty the Queen!""His Majesty, King Damien!""Long may they reign!"I scanned the crowd below, seeing countless gazes of reverence and admiration. The same wolves who had once questioned me were now at my feet. Not out of fear, but out of true respect. After the ceremony, Damien and I stood alone on the palace rooftop. The night was ink-black, filled with a thousand stars."Do you regret it?" Damien asked

"Are you ready?"Damien stood in front of a helicopter, the snow-capped mountains stretching out behind him. The sacred ground of the Silvermoon Pack was on the highest peak."I don't know," I said honestly. "Awakening my bloodline is one thing. Wielding its full power... that's something else entirely.""You will," Damien said, his eyes filled with confidence. "It belongs to you."The helicopter landed on the summit. The moment I stepped out, I felt a call unlike anything I'd ever experienced. Every snowflake, every gust of wind seemed to whisper ancient stories to me."Welcome home, Your Highness."A group of wolves in silver cloaks emerged from the snow-covered forest. They were the Guardians of the Silvermoon Pack, who had waited here for generations for the return of the royal bloodline. The elder at the front removed his hood, revealing a full head of silver hair."I am Elder Cedric. We have been waiting for you for a very long time.""How long?""Thirty years," Cedric said, his

"I didn't do any of those things!"Mia stood on the trial platform, tears streaming down her face. The Blackwood Pack's main square was packed with onlookers, the entire wolf world's eyes were fixed on this spot.I sat on the judge's throne, draped in the royal cloak of the Silvermoon Pack, a laurel crown on my head. The power of my awakened bloodline radiated out in palpable waves, and every wolf present felt it as a tremor deep in their soul."The evidence," I said, my voice calm but filled with an authority that could not be questioned.Damien stood and presented the findings."IP Address: 172.16.254.1, registered to one Mia Mist.""Financial Transfer: Three hundred thousand gold coins, wired to a spy network within the Red Moon Pack.""Communication Screenshot: 'Seraphina's reputation must be destroyed. It's the only way Killian will be completely mine.'"Each piece of evidence was a hammer blow against Mia. Her face grew paler, and her body began to shake."This... this is all for

My phone was about to melt.A flood of messages poured in, each one filled with shock and disbelief."The Silvermoon Pack? The legendary bloodline of the First Kings?""Seraphina is royalty?""How is that possible? Wasn't she a Beta?"I turned off my phone and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.Outside the Ironfang headquarters, a massive crowd of reporters and onlookers had already gathered. They all wanted the truth. To be honest, so did I."You knew all along, didn't you?" I asked, turning to face Damien. He was sitting on the sofa, his expression complex."From the first moment I saw you, I felt it—that suppressed power," he said softly. "The scent of a Silvermoon bloodline... it can't be completely hidden.""Why didn't you say anything?""Because you didn't know it yourself," Damien said, rising and coming to my side. "The seal was flawless. Even your own parents were convinced you were an ordinary Beta."Flashes of my childhood came back to me.The fevers that came from nowhe

"Enough."I shut off my phone and stood up.The rumors were flying, but I didn't need to explain myself. My actions would be my answer."Get the broadcast equipment ready," I told Damien's Beta. "We're going live."Half an hour later, the Ironfang Pack's official channel went live.I stood in the center of the war room, facing the camera."I am Seraphina Snow-Claw, the new Lead Beta of the Ironfang Pack."Tens of thousands of viewers flooded the stream instantly. The live chat exploded, scrolling past like a waterfall:"That traitor dares to show her face?""Let's see how she explains seducing Damien!""Shameless Beta!"I ignored the vicious comments and began my presentation."The Red Moon Pack is about to launch a surprise attack," I said, pointing to the massive tactical map behind me. "The time: three days from now. The target: the Ironfang mines."The endless scroll of comments stuttered, then slowed.I picked up a tactical stylus, and my movements were swift and precise as I mark

"Sera, what do you think you're doing?" Killian's voice was laced with disbelief. "Are you using another Alpha to try and make me jealous?"Before I could speak, a soft voice came from behind him."Sera..."Mia stepped out from behind Killian, her eyes already welling with tears. She wore a pale blue dress, looking as fragile as a flower in the wind."Please, just come home. I can give you the Lead Beta position back..." Her voice trembled, as if she were the one who’d been so grievously wronged."I don't need anyone's charity," I sneered. "Especially not from a thief."The color drained from Mia's face."Sera!" Killian roared. "How can you talk to her like that? Mia is just trying to help you!""Help me?" I gestured to the armed warriors. "Is that why you brought an entire squad? For a farewell party?"Damien took another step forward, and his powerful Alpha aura washed over them like a tidal wave.Killian’s men instinctively recoiled. A few of them even started to tremble. The pressu
