Felix pov

In the small window of time I take to lean down, grab the knife, tighten my grip around it and straighten up, Lenox is gone.

First, I walk forward and check behind the nearest trees. This most likely is one of his sick, twisted games the guy likes to play.

Well, except that every game he plays has rules only he knows, so I can’t call them conventional.

I’m pretty sure Lenox Vincent doesn’t know how to play hide and seek, but he definitely knows how to play hide and slit throats.

After I check behind every tree near me, I realize that the bastard is gone.

Just like that.. he’s fucking gone.

“You piece of..” I don’t finish the sentence, mainly because I have this unexplainable fear of him overhearing the things I might call him.

When I agreed to the damn plan, I never agreed to get accidentally kidnapped by a psychopath and then left in the woods alone.

“For fuck’s sake, I can’t boil a soup, let alone navigate my way through the forest alone!” I hiss under my breath an

Than povThe leeches exchange silent glances, which makes them look surprisingly intelligent. Ted still hovers nearby but the fool doesn’t dare to speak up even once. I let the silence stretch out until it becomes uncomfortable and heavy. In this realm, violence has always ruled over logical thinking - it’s been easier like that, taking what I wanted with force rather than words. Losing a couple of lives in the process has never been a sacrifice far too great to bink twice. However, in the world of mortals, I learned one important thing. Unlike us, they speak, discuss and give options before they go for desperate and violent measures. And, surprisingly, I’ve seen their methods work way better than mine ever did. The results come faster. So, I arm myself with patience and just glare at the leeches, waiting until one of them breaks under the pressure or gets desperate enough for escape to speak and spill everything. “What if we don’t want to tell you anything?” The same leech that

  • Claimed by the Alphas   A trigger.

Luka povI sit locked inside my office for hours. There’s nothing else I could do, really. Just staring at the wall like an idiot who needs answers to questions I don’t know how to ask. On one hand, running around like my ass is on fire might be more beneficial, but on the other, it wouldn’t bring any good other than pretending that I’m busy. Slowly, I reach for a pen and a piece of paper, deciding that maybe, if I write everything down I could really come up with some good ideas. I write down everything to my best ability. First, the birth of our daughter. Then, Sarah, the sudden attack out of nowhere, kidnapping, Fenton and all the stuff that happened back home during my absence. Then, I just sit and stare at the paper as if it could whisper the answers to me, but nothing comes to mind. Eventually, too frustrated, I run a hand through my hair, growl and grab the office phone, dialing the only number I know will always answer my call no matter the circumstances.I get my answer

  • Claimed by the Alphas   The leeches.

Than povWell, shit. Coming back home isn’t supposed to feel like this, right? First of all, I don’t feel like home anymore simply because now, it’s in the world of mortals with that beautiful, firefly kitty that has an insane ability to get under my skin every minute of the day. Second, home is ‘supposed’ to be your safe space after a long day of torturous work and responsibilities, not another place where you lose your mind without a good reason. And third, last but not least, in my home I don’t want to be surrounded by incompetent fools like Ted and a bunch of leeches that don’t even fucking belong here, damn it. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and another one, then another, until I finally accept that breathing won’t help me calm down. Fuck, how I wish Seth was here.. Her problem solving abilities are perfect - all she does is lifts her shirt, shows off the boobies, and boom, I’m as calm as a sloth. But no, down here I can’t get to see the boobies so I have to pull up my

Lazarus povIt feels like hours have passed after Alister last spoke. I tried to involve him in conversations, cheer him up, and even suggested playing some games, but my boy remained silent throughout. Now, for all this time, I’ve been stealing glances at him while Alister just stares into the distance. I know there’s something special about him, it always has been there, but these days, I start realizing just how different my son truly is. Alister has no friends. I don’t mean it as an insult or a jab, it’s just a logical observation. He doesn’t interact with kids his age and rather spends his time alone. Whenever he’s forced into social situations, he rather talks to adults than his peers. I remember this one time when a girl from his school had a crush on him. Innocent, of course, that first love when you don’t understand what love really is. She sent cards and chocolates to the pack house, often tried to visit, but every attempt was shot down without mercy. Sometimes, fuck I

  • Claimed by the Alphas   Childhood memories.

Sarah povI huff out an unexpected breath that sounds more like a bitter chuckle than anything else. “You’re kidding me, right?” I ask David, one eyebrow arched in question. He looks at me for a good moment, seriously considering if it’s best to tell the truth or lie, but eventually, he shakes his head. “Great,” I grumble. “As if our life isn’t messy enough as it is. No, we need more twists and turns apparently.” A barely there smile stretches across his lips, “hey, I’m sure they will figure everything out. The Alphas are smart guys, even if one of them is a little crazy, but together, they’re a force to be reckoned with. And besides, I believe that if anyone knows how the underworld works, it has to be a demon, right?” I listen to David carefully, slowly nodding my head in agreement.Just because I don’t want to admit it doesn’t mean I can’t get his point. I wholeheartedly believe that there isn’t anyone who can notice more things than guards do. At the end of the day, it’s the
