CLAIRE's POV

Dominik? Had I heard her right? I almost jumped out of bed, but the burning pains all over my body reminded me why I was there in the first place. Aunt Axera nodded.

"You can let him him," she said and turned to me. "I will leave you both alone to do some catching up, but I will come and check up on you later."

I gave her a small smile and nodded. She gave me a soft pat on the head and made her way out of the room, shutting the door behind her quietly.

My heart began to race. Was Dominik really here? Or had the witch mistaken his name for someone else's. I drummed on my thighs as I waited eagerly. The moment the door cracked open, I spun my head towards it.

My eyes widened at the sight of my mate. He walked into the room slowly and his eyes went as wide as mine.

"Claire," he breathed.
