I became disoriented as the speed of the large rock coming towards me began to multiply. I could hear Emmaline and Danica yelling at me to cast a protection spell but I was frozen, unable to move my mouth or my hands.

The rock flew by me, grazing my skin and I heard it crash to the ground behind me. Beads of sweat began to form on my forehead and I could feel it drip down to my cheek.
