CLAIRE's POV

I was stunned and her words hit me like I had taken a blow to the face. I opened my mouth to speak, to retaliate, but the damage I had taken had stopped me from countering what she said.

“What is this? So I was right?” She scoffed and shook her head.

I watched as she walked closer to me and jabbed a finger at me.

“You stay away from my mate, you bloody slut,” she sneered.

I swatted her hand away and glared at her. I was not going to stay mute and let her disrespect me like this.

“I am not a slut, and I do not have anything do with Luis, nor do I want to have anything to do with him other than us being close friends. Do not push your disgusting jealousy on me. It is not my fault that Luis likes spending time with me,” I retorted with a smirk.

I could see the veins pop up on her forehead as she clenched her teeth.

“How dare you!” she yelled and before I could react, she landed a slap across my face.
