Tiara's POV

A year later

My hands trailed the huge ruby stone, glinting against the soft lighting in the room which caressed my finger, lips curled into a smile. It has been a year since I had finally agreed to marry Larry and everything seemed perfect.

The door creaked open revealing him leaning against it, his face tilting into a smile.

"Are you ready?" My palms were sweaty and everything screamed in me that I wasn't, but I gave a small nod, not wanting him to pick up my fear.

He tipped his head at me, eyes narrowed as he tugged me closer. "You know you are a clear book to me, right? So you don't have to be scared about that. Besides, I will be by your side all the way"

Today was the first day we had decided to set our plan in motion, a year after, and we were going to make sure they paid. Bernard and Zara.

I had painfully spent years skimming out what would be the perfect punishment for them but now, I was done and was ready to face them.

"You sent out the cards?" I asked, not wanting to leave any stone unturned.

"As my queen wanted. I did everything. They wouldn't want to offend me. Besides, our wedding was a small knit one which had no one in attendance aside the lycan council and Lexis so they wouldn't want to let go of the chance to see my queen"

I took in a gasp of breath, hoping that it would help me think properly. My eyes burnt with rage as I clenched my fist, memories of their betrayal jabbed into my heart.

Larry squeezed my hands, since the day he marked me, my thoughts were bare to him, and he could strip me naked digging into them even when he was miles away.

I had tried barricading him most times, but it didn't even help, somehow I was beginning to enjoy it. It surely does have its advantages.

"Let's go" I matched my step with his as we strolled down the stairs down to the vast hall, walking down the left wing.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Yes, you are doing good. I cajoled myself before we walked into the massive crowd that turned to take a look at us.

Every eye was on us, taking in our faces and appearance and when my eyes met with Zara and Bernard, whatever fear I had was tossed to the wall.

With my hands looped on Larry's arms, I let him tug me alongside him while making sure everyone who cared to look saw the ring in my finger.

Zara shifted in her seat, mumbling words into Bernard's ears, but his eyes were fixed on me.

"That cannot be her, not Tiara. There is no way she is with the lycan king" I heard them eavesdrop before scoffing at those words.

The buzzing lingered into my ears, making it drum as they filtered in, an unruly smile crept on my face, but I was quick to force it down when my father walked closer, holding my mother in his arms, his eyes filled with contempt.

"Your Majesty" his body dipped forward into a bow as he surveyed me. Staring at my face." This is...." His eyes trailed on me, recognition lighting in them.

"My wife. My Luna and my queen" the smile faltered, his hands dipping slightly into his pocket as he let out a chuckle.

" That can't be. I mean she isn't of any parental heritage that would be useful to you, what would you use a common omega for? One who is unable to shift"

My heart dipped because he had said the last word loud enough for everyone to know that I wasn't competent enough to be Larry's queen, nor fit to stay by his side.

" My. Wife. Is. A. Lycan. One. Of. The. Best. And. You. Should. Know. Better. Than. To. Talk. Down. On. Her. Do you want to be walked out?"

My father retraced but not without giving me a sear that burnt into my skin as he did so.

My heart swelled, but I wasn't ignorant to the way needles jabbed at it as well. I wasn't a lycan, had never been one. Larry had just said those to save my face.

" You don't have to worry, I am by your side"

I forced a smile at him, hoping that would help wash off the unease I felt as he loosened his grip, his steps fading away.

Taking a champagne flute from the tray close by, I chugged it all down, letting out a moan when the fruity juice hit the back of my throat.

" Tiara..." a voice that was imprinted in my memories whispered at me. His scent wafted into my nostrils.

" What are you doing with the lycan king? Don't you think he is using you? He must have ulterior motives for keeping you close by, do you think you are safe?" He asked.

I reeled off in laughter, my eyes moving gently to Zara.

" Why are you here?" I moved a finger over my lips.

Call me childish, but I wanted them to take a good look at my finger, where the heirloom of the lycan royalty's fitted.

I could smell jealousy brewing in her.

" Don't you think you should be more focused on your wife? I mean, my sister looks like she wants to throw a tantrum. It wouldn't look good if I threw her outside for causing havoc at my anniversary party, would it?"

Zara's eyes flared up in anger as she leaned closer.

" You are nothing but a mistress adorned with that jewelry just to fit in with the public. You are still going to be an omega, one who cannot fit in." she spat out venomously, twisting in the needles already in my heart.

" You think so?" My fingers ran on my lips as I searched for Larry who was nowhere to be found at the moment.

" Or you are just jealous that I am in a better condition than you will ever be? I heard you have had troubles with your pack these days...how is that coming along?" I rubbed it on her face.

After taking one of the most important contracts they had worked months for, all of their efforts went down the drain. I had sat back to watch as they ran at loss, their pack was barely surviving nowadays, and I did that.

" How did you know?" Bernard brows puckered at me when recognition dawned in. " You did it..."

I let out a peal of throaty laughter, throwing a compliment at him.

" Bold of you to think I care that much about you, can you get out of my face? The ladies need my attention"' my eyes moved to the wives of the men who headed the lycan council.

Zara huffed as I walked past, in rage. Barely have I taken a step when a voice echoed behind me.

" How exactly did you get the lycan king to like you this much!" I stood, hands digging into my clutch.

" Do you think that he would like you when he finally gets to know what you did to your parents?"

My brows knitted as I flipped my head around. " What are you talking about?" I had done everything to find who my parents might be or father, but all I got was a dead end.

He tsked, leaning closer. " Your marriage is bound to break up immediately because you wreck everything you touch, Tiara."

I stiffened as I waited for him to continue.

"I can help you with their information, but that is only if you end things with him. You cannot be in a better one than Zara, my daughter".

Tiara's POV Months had gone by and I couldn't have wanted anything else aside from the peace and solitude I had now. It was perfect, so perfect that it had me wondering if the rest of my life could just go this way without any chaos since most part of it had been with it. " You have to be careful, your majesty, not to trip over your heels."" I will not." Marriage preparation was difficult to go with and even when I had decided against it, Larry wasn't having it. He had decided that we were going to get married again since the first one was a fake and no matter how many times I tried to dissuade him from doing so, I had finally given him knowing that I didn't want to keep on arguing non end. It would be better that way. So that was how I ended up in a wedding gown while he was waiting for me outside fully suited. I didn't know how this was going to end but would it be different from the first? I plopped to the seat, taking in all what we have gone through, from where we had met

  • Claimed by the ruthless lycan king   Apportion

Larry's POV Now was not the time to apportion blame because I could have told her that I had mentioned it to her repeatedly, but she didn't adhere to what I had to say. I knew Tiara had gone through several emotions and when she had come into the office while I was talking to the alpha with tears on her face as she explained what had happened, I knew that there was no way that man was going to be alive. The guard who had seen him had been fast enough as he let me know what had happened, and even at that I needed to know where he had gone, the alpha had swung into motion with Lexis who had been helpful, and trailing his scent, Tiara had been there before us. I knew she could hold him off and I wouldn't need to do a thing, I should have done that, tried everything to get there before her but I knew what she would be able to do and it will be stupid if I stole it from her so I gave her the opportunity to go ahead, but I couldn't stand by and watch as she tried to kill him, the guilt

  • Claimed by the ruthless lycan king   Closer

The only thing alpha Winifred could think about as he watched her walk away was how much of a fool she was, for accepting him into his house, he could see how desperate she was for a father figure and that had him stunned. He had thought that Larry would have talked to her since he said he saw through him and his tricks but it seemed she didn't listen to whatever it was he had to say or she was strong headed like she had always been which to him wasn't a good thing, but at this point it was. He was going to use it to his advantage. To him, the moon goddess had given him an opportunity and he wasn't about to take that for granted as it wasn't everyday that the moon goddess does that, so he did all that he could do within the first days that he had been let in. He trailed the halls when everyone seemed to be out, avoiding the CCTV camera, it was easy to do that especially with how he had a map of how the castle looked like, then he had made his way to the kids room when he noticed th

  • Claimed by the ruthless lycan king   End communication

Tiara's POV I didn't need to be told by anyone that what I had done was wrong, I just couldn't bring myself to let him die, knowing fully well that all I had to do was make sure that I gave him my blood which would in turn make sure that he would live, and that was what I did. Gave him a second chance at life. I could hear the tension that hung over the air, almost taking it in and I didn't need anyone to tell me what Lexis or Larry thought about what I had just done. To them, it was always going to be the same thing, I had fucked things up and I shouldn't have done what I did, I should have let him die but I knew I couldn't do that, will be unable to do that especially when I had the means to. It was on my conscience that it would be on, and I knew that I had to do something. " What are you thinking about?" Larry asked as he wrapped a hand around my waist. " Nothing, do you really think I made a bad choice? That I should have done better?" " We are past that already, why are yo

  • Claimed by the ruthless lycan king   Camouflaged

Luna Winifred knew that she couldn't take a step back when she got to know what exactly her husband was up to. He has treated her out of place and she knew, could see, feel and taste the disrespect and she was never going to forget what exactly had made her insist on doing what she did at last. She had poured it all in, not caring about what anyone would think or say about her or what was going on. She was hell bent on making sure that he ends up dead and that was what she had done. She could still recall the look the new bride had on her face when she had walked up to her, letting her know her husband was dead. The new bride didn't care about whatever it was she had thought and trying to make it all work out well, she had sank down in tears not caring about what anyone would say as she let them down in torrents, to others, she was mourning the man who had ended up dead, the one she had spent her life with and whom she will be unable to live without, but she knew otherwise, to her,

  • Claimed by the ruthless lycan king   Verge of death

Larry's POV I knew that he might come in here but then it was under probability.I tried to keep calm as I watched her go about her duty, give blood to him and even at that, it was difficult to just watch without stopping her. I swallowed, taking in gasps before I turned to Lexis who I knew had the same thought as I did. He was watching, taking in every single thing that was happening and when her blood finally dropped in between his lips, he coughed out, with a hand to his chest. I rolled my eyes at his failed attempt he wasn't making a good job at pretending. What was he here for? " You saved me." He stated the obvious, gratitude lacing his tone. I watched every single thing which was to happen before I turned to Lexis giving a direction to make sure the kid's room were kept safe at all time. " You really did. Thank you so much, Tiara." He let out before turning to me when he averted his head to the ground. I didn't say much, didn't need to do that because I could see past the
