Bernard knew what he had done was wrong. He knew that he shouldn't have done so, but he didn't want to. When he had seen Tiara, he couldn't believe that she was the one, she looked so different, and by different it was in every way. She was glowing, which was so different from how she was around him, and she looked happier. He didn't want her to be that way with someone who wasn't him, and so he knew that he had to do whatever it was just to make sure that she didn't go back home. He had talked to Larry, wanting to sew a seed of discord between them, but he hadn't expected the results he had gotten. She was nowhere in love with him, not anymore. He had known that when he saw her eyes, they didn't hold the admiration they usually held, and so he knew that he had lost her.
