~SCARLETT~

My brain was foggy, but even in that state, I could feel the multiple presence surrounding me but not his.

I frowned slightly as I tried prying my eyes open. My vision slowly cleared, and the first person I saw was Alexander, staring down at me with a worried expression.

“Scarlett?” He called out, and I frowned before moving away from him.

“What are you doing here? Who let you in?” I asked, and I watched as hurt flashed across his face.

“I did, Scarlett” I turned to the voice, and only then did I notice Chase and Cleo were in the room as well.

“Why would you do that? Did you forget what he did to Dimitri? You…”

“Calm down, Scarlett. He has made up with Dimitri, they're friends now” Chase explained as he walked up to me and patted my back softly.

“Really? How?” I asked as I glanced between Alexander and Chase.

“I apologised to him. I shouldn't have let my anger get the best of me, and he accepted my apology. He let me come see you

~SCARLETT~ I don’t say yes to Dimitri right away. Not because I don’t want to.But because I know saying yes will change the shape of my life. We’re walking along the river when it happens, the city stretched out in glittering fragments around us. The air is cool, grounding, and Dimitri is unusually quiet beside me. Not distant but focused. Like he’s holding something back with deliberate care.“You’ve been tense all day,” he says eventually.“So have you.”He nods. “Alexander’s moving.”I glance at him. “How?”“Business,” he replies. “He’s attacking my companies. Subtly, but aggressively.”A chill runs through me. “Because of me.”“Because he hates losing,” Dimitri corrects gently. “You’re not a possession in that equation.”I exhale slowly. “I don’t want to be the reason you get hurt.”He stops walking.I stop with him.“Scarlett,” he says quietly, turning to face me fully, “I was already in this fight the moment I saved you and brought you home with me”The honesty in his eyes ma

~ALEXANDER~ I know the exact moment I lost her.It isn’t when she doesn’t answer my calls. It isn’t when she starts cancelling dinners. It isn’t even when Dimitri begins walking openly at her side like he has a right to be there. It’s when I look at her across the street one evening and realize she isn’t confused anymore. She’s choosing. Not with words. With her body. With the way she angles herself toward him without noticing. With the way her shoulders soften when he speaks. With the way her laughter, rare now, precious, belongs to him.And it infuriates me.Because I love her.Because I ruined everything once, and I know it.Because if she remembered, she would never look at me like this. That truth gnaws at me relentlessly.I tell myself I can fix this.I always have.I built empires from ashes. I survived wars my enemies didn’t walk away from. I learned early that patience is a weapon, that if you wait long enough, people make mistakes. But Scarlett isn’t making one. She’s slipp

  • Claimed by two Alphas   CHAPTER SIXTY ONE

~SCARLETT~ There is something wrong with the way Alexander makes me feel. Not wrong in a loud, obvious way.Wrong in a quiet, unsettling way, like walking into a room and forgetting why your chest suddenly feels tight.I noticed it the morning after Dimitri left my apartment.I woke up calm for the first time in days. No buzzing anxiety under my skin. No heaviness pressing on my ribs. Just quiet. That should feel normal.Instead, it feels earned. When Alexander texts me later that afternoon, asking if I want to have lunch, the calm fractures.Just lunch, I tell myself. He’s trying. But my fingers hesitate over the phone.Something in me doesn’t want to go.I go anyway. He’s already seated when I arrive, dressed sharply, posture relaxed, smile warm. Anyone watching us would see a man who looks devoted. Safe.“Hey,” he says softly. “You look tired.”“I slept well,” I reply.Something flickers across his face. Gone too fast to name.“That’s good,” he says. “I’m glad.”We talk about not

  • Claimed by two Alphas   CHAPTER SIXTY

~DIMITRI~ If Scarlett remembered what Alexander did to her, he would not be standing this close. That truth sits in my chest like something sharp and permanent. She walks beside me down the sidewalk, her coat brushing my arm, unaware of how every step she takes toward him feels like a failure on my part. Not hers. Never hers.Mine.Because I know.Because I remember what she cannot. And because the man who destroyed her world is allowed to look at her with soft eyes and call it devotion simply because she doesn’t remember the blood on his hands. Her fingers brush mine again. The contact is unintentional, fleeting but I feel it like a warning. She pauses.I feel her awareness sharpen.I don’t move.I let her decide. She doesn’t pull away. And that is when the anger rises. Not at her.At him.At Alexander, who stands in her life like a ghost pretending to be a savior, who offers patience and gentleness as if that erases what he took from her.She stops walking.“Why are you so tense?”

~SCARLETT~ I notice it on a Tuesday. Not because anything dramatic happens but because something doesn’t.For the first time in days, I didn’t feel watched from a distance.I felt… accompanied. It started small. When I step out of my apartment building that morning, the street is already busy. Cars pass, people rush by, the city hums like it always does. I adjust my bag on my shoulder and head toward the café, mind already bracing for another long shift. That’s when I see him.Dimitri stands across the street, phone pressed to his ear, posture relaxed but alert. He isn’t hiding. He isn’t pretending not to see me.And when his gaze lifts and meets mine…He doesn’t look away.My breath catches. Not because of surprise but Because of relief. He nods once. Not an invitation. Not a demand. Just acknowledgment.I’m here.Something warm spreads through my chest before I can stop it.I don’t cross the street. He doesn’t either. But the space between us feels different now.Alive.At work, t

  • Claimed by two Alphas   CHAPTER FIFTY EIGHT

~SCARLETT~ The tension at work changes shape. It’s no longer whispered comments or sidelong looks. It becomes deliberate, sharper, more pointed, meant to remind me exactly where I stand.Or where they think I stand.“Careful,” Maya says as she passes me a tray of pastries, her smile thin. “Wouldn’t want to mess up. Not when so many important people are watching.”I grip the tray tighter than necessary. “I’ve got it.”She tilts her head. “Of course you do.”Louis opens his mouth to say something, but I shake my head subtly. I don’t want a scene. I just want to survive the day.Still, the weight of being watched presses into me. Not just by my coworkers but by the city, by rumors, by expectations I never agreed to carry. And by two men who refuse to leave my life in very different ways.Alexander picks me up after work.I didn’t ask him to.But I didn’t say no either. His car is parked across the street, polished and discreet. He steps out when he sees me, opening the passenger door li
