I don’t bother waiting for the boss’s response before I’m turning and heading down the hall, while he just remains in place watching me. Good. Watch me walk away while your anger bubbles. If my theory is absolutely right, which I was almost certain it was, this would be enough to trigger you to do something more.

Along with being certain that the boss and Brielle were together, I was almost positive that he was the one who sent those people after me. Although it was logical to think that bastard back home was responsible, the chances of him finding me were damn near impossible. That only left the masked bastard; after all, he made it clear he was willing to kill when he stabbed me. Since he hadn’t made another move, I was taking matters into my own hands and pushing him to do so.
