I bounced into the guest hall, refreshed from the whole mess from last night.

Harry and Hilda had stayed awake with me until morning, playing games and swapping stories until we all fell asleep on the floor of Harry's bedroom.

“Good morning,” I said.

Only Alpha Pinewood looked up from his breakfast and he wore a tired smile. “Good morning, Luna. How was your night?”

I halted in my tracks at his tone, just noticing how deathly silent the breakfast table was.
