Ember
She woke on her bed with her alarm, but she didn’t remember going to bed. In fact she remembered leaning her forehead on her folded arms while she waited for the last of the code to run through Mr. Waylon’s entire system.
It took her longer than usual to shut off her alarm, since she had been wrapped up in her bedding like a burrito. She had to roll a few times to unwrap herself and ended on the floor with a thud and a groan.
Clearly she had not put herself to bed; someone had managed to put her in bed without her waking. Managing to scramble to her knees, she turned off her alarm, noticing that they had even plugged her phone in to charge.
Shaking her head to herself, she rushed to her computer, almost tripping over her bedding and checked on the status. Ember grinned when she saw that it had run through successfully and she now would know everything he did on his computer.
She closed the windows she had l
Paul Michaels (Tracker from River Ash Pack)He had been sent by Alpha Anson to check if he’s god-daughter was in this academy. They’d received a lead that she had been signed into this school when the previous Luna had banished her from the pack.As a new father, he could only imagine how worried his alpha was over this young woman and had volunteered for this, even if she wasn’t his real daughter, he had raised her from 5 years old. Personally, he had no problem with her, she was a sweet kid, if somewhat reserved. He didn’t understand what the other members of the pack had against an innocent child, and recently it came out that the innocent child had been keeping up the tools for the kitchen and the garden since the ex-Luna had been stealing from the pack. Now everyone who had backed the ex-Luna had egg on their faces.Paul had made sure to be dressed elegantly in a suit for his visit to the academy. It wa
EmberIt had been a couple of days since the three suddenly blew into her life and dragged her to her room, and then never left. Surely she’d given them enough to have Mr. Waylon prosecuted? But they said they needed more, since the information they had could be disputed. She didn’t know what they intended to do with the information and they’d been tightlipped about it towards her.And yet, she found them everywhere she went, including her dorm room, which now seemed to be their hangout, much to her chagrin. She didn’t know why they couldn’t hang out in their own dorm rooms. What was so interesting in hers? They made her dorm room feel crowded, and Leo had started annoying her by moving her stuff around and laughing whenever she yelled at him to leave her stuff alone. It was like the annoying older brothers she’d seen in the pack. Ash kept staring at her like she was some kind of diffi
Ashton BaneAt the end of their training class, he felt this jab of urgency; the need to move and protect something. His step faltered, unsure what this feeling was and why he felt this sense of urgency to act when he had no idea why.He noticed Oliver and Leo falter in their steps as well and he looked at them in confusion. What was going on? His wolf was vibrating with the need to move and attack, but he wasn’t sure what was going on.Leo seemed jittery and more serious than they had seen him in a while; the hairs on his arms rose in a way that showed that his shift was not far off. “What class did Ember have while we had war training?” He asked in a voice raspy with the sense of his wolf just below the surface.Oliver was thoughtful for a moment, since he was the one that gathered intelligence. “Technology, I think.” He answered with a look of concentration on his face. Ash w
EmberThe first thing she became aware of was the pounding headache, followed shortly by her burning nose and throat and then nausea. And that was when she realized that she was wrapped up tightly. She kept her eyes closed and tried to keep her breathing steady in a bid to figure out where she was. It felt like she was lying on a bed and she could hear the faint movements of someone in the room. She was terrified of opening her eyes, to be honest.Next thing she knew the bed dipped and her hair was gently pushed away from her face. “Hey, Cookie. You’re okay, little sis. We found you just in time.” It was as if he had sensed her waking up and was trying to soothe the stress her body was under; she supposed he had scented the adrenaline and fear coming from her and probably heard her heartrate increase as well. Her relief to be away from that wolf that scared her was matched by her annoyance
Alpha AnsonHe had been held up longer than he had wanted to be; mostly because he was still busy fixing the fuck-ups that Bernadette had created with her greed and selfishness. He made sure that the whole pack knew that she would not be tolerated on this pack territory and started slowly correcting her years of stealing from the pack.He knew it would take a small fortune to correct the damage she had done. But he also knew that once everything was as they should be, they would all save money in the long run. She’d raised the rent for the family homes more than fifteen percent every year to fund her spending. Then she had cut budgets in running the pack properly as well. He had been a horrible alpha not to notice the damage she had been doing to his pack. Finally he had set one of the omegas to work on cataloging and researching prices on the bags, shoes and brand named clothes he had forced Bernadette to leave behind.
Alpha AnsonHe knew that Ember was very precise about her surroundings and nothing annoyed her more than someone touching her things and moving it around. He almost grinned with amusement when he saw her stomp her foot, crossing her arms over her chest when the guy by the couch stepped forward and gently guided her towards the couch and gently pushed her into the seat.He turned his attention back to the young alpha. “What do you mean by communication?” He asked; turning serious again, since he knew this had to be important.“We’ve been suspicious of Mr. Waylon and Ember was helping us to
Alpha AnsonHe felt even more like a failure when he drove away from the academy without Ember. He had failed her as a guardian if she had felt that she couldn’t be herself around him or tell him everything that had been done to her. He hadn’t even known that some of the pups had bullied her. When he pulled to a stop in front of the pack house, there was a welcoming party waiting for Ember. Most of the household and garden staff, some guards were waiting, as well as Ilene and even Tom. There was a measure of excitement in their patience and he felt horrible, when he stepped out of the car alone and their faces fell at the realization that Ember was not with him.
EmberIt had been three weeks since Alpha Anson had agreed that she could finish the last few months she had left of schooling at the academy. She got twice weekly deliveries from Mrs. Thomas, the container was always heavy with treats and the three males from Bane pack always insisted on carrying it. But she suspected they were just as excited about the delivery as she was.Mrs. Thomas made the best treats, and she suspected she was sending so many treats because Alpha Anson had informed her of the three males hanging around her room all the time. The last thing she needed was them staying in her dorm because of the snacks. After all, feeding wild animals meant they’d always come back for more.
