Twilight Fall Town

Sheriff Dome

Offshore the town, in the middle of the dry woods existed a bungalow shaped building. A building encircled with short wooden fences and a short entrance door into the compound. A red highlander was parked outside the fenced walls along some other short cars ranging from Camry to Lexus and Toyotas but in the midst of these luxurious cars was parked a black cop bike.

Inside the house, it was more than expected with just a room as wide as the house itself. In the room were wooden chairs arranged in rows to the end of the room with numerous men sat dressed in different outfits and had different hairstyles. Before the arranged chairs was another chair, a plastic chair with Scott Evans seated on it. In between his lips was a lit tobacco stick fluming with wild smokes.

"Why the sudden summon boss, we all have places to be. Children to attend to." A man in the midst of the men said.

At each sides of seated Scott stood D and Matthew staring at their fellow inmates like bouncers.

Scott exhaled, his face disturbed with discomfort "I believe you all saw the news!" He inquired wearily and they hummed in response while some nodded slightly "then by that, y'all should know why i called you here."

They exchanged uncertain gazes which made Scott wondering. It was obvious his pack doesn't care about the safety of the people, they only care about their own existence and this mostly makes him mad. So mad he rose on his feet in anger.

"Are you all kidding me?" He shouted but what came was a vivid growl that caught everyone of them bothered. They whimpered in fear like crying dogs except D and Matthew. He sat back down regretting his recent reaction.

"As the alpha of this team, I pledged to watch over the pack same as the guardian of humanity. And i expected everyone to do as i pledged in my honour." Scott explained and paused observing the looks on their faces "But my explanation doesn't concern what just happened but why it happened." He lamented.

"But we all know why it happened, this vigilante is raiding vampires from the face of the earth." A man spoke.

"Obviously but no! He's hunting down everyone of us." Another man guessed.

Scott nodded negatively "He's hunting vampires but putting lives at risk. We don't know why but i want us all to find out."

"I don't think that's the reason for your investigation sire, you want to know who this Bloodbath is!" Another man muttered which caught Scott's attention.

"You guessed right." He replied.

"Why the sudden obsession with this guy, he could be human or even an immortal." Another man implied.

Scott scoffed poorly "I don't think so, humans regardless of their species does not care about the creatures of the night. William the first is nowhere to be found and after his demise, none of the immortal humans has been spotted wandering on earth for decades." He explained rubbing his neatly shaved scalp "I think this Bloodbath is different!"

"But why did you think so? Since when have you been obsessed with this stranger?" Another man asked curiously.

Scott heaved "I've never seen an individual so determined as he was. He's unique." He thoughtfully replied "he knows basically too much about the hidden world. IF he's human, then he's a huge threat to us all. Not just the vampires but including the werewolves." He added emphasizing the word 'IF'.

Everyone murmured unintelligibly.

"But like you said, he's not." A man thought aloud.

"He's not just a vampire hunter but every creatures hunter." Scott implied "he's more than a threat to us, he serves as a hero to the humans but to us within the hidden world, he's like an...anti hero."

"You want us to kill him?" Another man asked.

"No! I want you to bring him to me, not dead, but alive." Scott warned "I need some informations to inquire from him."

"Gotten!" They answered simultaneously nodding affirmatively.

Scoff sank his tobacco stick back in between his lips, he tried to inhale but realized the cigarette has lost it blaze. He brought out a lighter from his chest pocket, lit his cigarette and in seconds, he was clouded in smoke.

"It is time we find why these vampires are back in our turf." He finalised.

KNOCK! KNOCK!! KNOCK!!!

"COMING!" Was what came behind the wooden door.

He heard some faint footsteps and as it drew closer, it became more audible and suddenly elapsed. He heaved as the door clanged with its locks been unleashed and finally, the door opened.

What rushed against his nostrils was the sweet smell of fresh baked bread within the room, although none of them behind could smell what he perceived because they're too vigilant. Just looking around like sergeants.

It was early in the morning, early Monday morning to be precise and everywhere was quiet. Civilains has gone to their daily works because the medium town isn't a working place for majority except the sheriff of the town, but everyone else would have gone far away, probably near New York or even abroad. So the street is vividly clear of sight and perception, giving them a broad day walk across the road unnoticed. Might be question how the vampires amongst them were able to walk during the day? It's easy. Working with the Councils of the hidden world, vampires were granted enchanted rings that grants them the ability to walk during the day and werewolves amongst were enhanced to the point they could transform without the aid of the full moon although at not their full powers.

CREAK!

Lloyd peeped out of the door with it half opened "Good Lord, Clancy!" He called in awe "I've been worried about you, where the hell have you been? You almost got me worried." He lamented opening wide the door for them to enter "and you brought friends." He added puzzled as they marched in majestically.

Clancy patted Lloyd on his left shoulder as he walked in "you've nothing to worry about Lloyd, they're...servants!" He replied after searching for the right word.

"We are not servants, at least we follow orders." Amelia cut him short rigidly and Clancy scoffed.

As soon as they entered, Lloyd shut the door lock. He turned at Clancy with his gesture requesting which Clancy responded to with his eyebrows aiming upstairs.

Getting what he meant, Lloyd walked towards the stairs and towards his room while Clancy followed in suit.

BAM!

He shut the door behind as soon as Clancy walked in "are you kidding me? You brought members of the Councils into our house?" He shouted angrily even though he tried to limit his scream but it just came out like an outburst.

"Relax Lloyd, i know what I'm doing." Clancy consoled.

Lloyd pointed at him "believe me, you don't! Those monsters created everything. They're your progenitors, our progenitors! You can't obviously trust them."

Clancy heaved "they said they knew who killed my mother!"

With that heard, Lloyd became mute. Speechless and as dumb as a goat.

"They said in exchange for who murdered my mother, I'll have to help them in taking down someone first." He explained and brought out a picture from her utility belt.

Lloyd without hesitating received the picture and his face frowned "she's beautiful and seems not deadly to me." He said and Clancy rolled his eyes not impressed "but also looks familiar." He added which caught Clancy's attractive ears.

"Whay did you mean by familiar?" He asked.

"I've seen her before, probably once but I clearly know I've seen that face before." Lloyd tried to remember.

"C'mon, who is she?" Impatient Clancy asked.

Lloyd trampled through his memory sack like a student in an exam hall trying to figure out who the latter was, incomplete images and flashbacks roamed through his head but couldn't put them together. During his days working in the hospital, he's used to working as a surgeon and after he had Clancy, he stopped. He has worked on countless patients and she could be any of them except!

He looked at the picture once more and back at Clancy "I worked on her once but failed," he remembered and looked at Clancy with disbelieve "the lady you're looking for has been dead for thirty years!" He exploded putting Clancy in an endless thought of suspense.

Dark Forest

Dark Forest is a rural locality in the Wollongong and Wollondilly Shire local government areas. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 115. It is home to the Dharawal National Park and also features several farms. But recently, it has become the ruthless and most dangerous forest in the country known only to belong to the weirdest and ruthless of all creatures in existence, the Werebeasts. Although, not all Werebeasts are dangerous and callous but the particular dark forest is not just a playground to creatures of the night, it is an abandoned spotland for lawless creatures not within the jurisdictions of the Councils of the hidden world.

Night was solid within with nothing in sight except tall dark trees, trees so tall their heights vanished into the night dark sky blocking the moon from blessing over the land its glory. Everything was quiet except the chirping of birds and the trampling of night animals in search of night foods unknowing they were the prey of another predator. The cycle of life in the dark forest is a joke, not under control not under restrictions, no rules, just death and insecurity.

He was as stealth as the still wind underneath the grass, not even an eye could see him in the dark. He was staring at a feeding antelope as it grazed on legumes on the ground. The antelope was aware of something watching it but looked around and still found nothing, everything was plane green with weed and tall trees. The trees were distinct to each other and any attack would be noticed even before the attacker gets near.

He was as brisk as the wind, fast as laser and with a leap, he jumped out of his hiding spot and at the antelope even before it could brace itself. He caught it off guard like it was standing few feets to him. He caught it by the neck, subjugated it with his poisonous fangs and after infertile struggles, the prey ended up been the night's feed.

He dropped the antelope on the grass, his dark claws flashed in night like a katana and ripped into the creature's clothing like unzipping a shirt. He tore the animal asunder and dive in for the crimson delicacy but he stopped sensing another intrusion. A common sensation in the dark forest but this was different, it stood closer and manipulative.

"It is already dead and going nowhere Tjandamurra." A voice said in the dark.

He turned at the shrouded figure snarling like a tiger, his blue eyes gazed in the darkness staring at the figure vividly like he could pounce on him any second.

"Who are you?" He asked, his assent faulty and not straight but under Britain tongue.

"Who I am doesn't matter but what I offer." The figure replied.

He rose on his feet and cracks were heard as he attained his human form. Nude but the darkness shaded his physique obviously "what did you want?" Tjandamurra asked.

"I'm here for a deal and in return, freedom!"

Tjandamurra scoffed "and you think I'll fall for that?" He asked.

"Consider this, a token of my trust." The figure stretched out his right arm revealing a small bag of coin at Tjandamurra.

Tjandamurra received it, crossed checked it and dropped it slightly in his left hand. He smirked with his left lip and nodded positively "what's the deal?" He asked.

"I want you to make sure someone never returns from a journey." He said "I want him killed along everyone that accompanies him, not a trace of his being left behind." He instructed.

Tjandamurra juggled the bag of coin in his left hand "going to cost you more than this, you know that?" He asked.

"Sincerely!"

Tjandamurra smiled "then, consider it done!" He finalised with weird fangs exposed smile.
