Claudius's POV

I forgave Colton, or I should say I believe him. He explained I wasn't the person the Alpha was talking about that day. I don't know, maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. But when I look into Colton's eyes, I can see nothing but honesty. I think whatever he's telling me, he believes it's the truth. Whether the Alpha is telling him the truth or not, I'm not sure.

Between Colton and Dominic, It seems as though I might have some new friends.

I learned Dominic is not the original third in command. His older brother was. His brother was killed during the attack, so Dominic had to step up and take his place. That's why he's younger than the Alpha and Beta.

I also learned the Alpha's age. Alpha Hughes is 31, Colton is 29, and Dominic is 25. And here I am, the youngest of the bunch, turning 20 in 2 months.

Dominic is biracial. His mother is black, and his father is white. And thankfully, both are alive. I have to admit, he's an extremely attractive man. He has beautiful light

I have had several comments, asking why Claudius can't get pregnant, when a Beta, (Damien) can get pregnant. That is because Damien is a submissive male. He is not dominant. Only submissive males can get pregnant, dominant males cannot. Every class except Alpha's, and Omega's have both submissive and dominant males. All Alphas are dominant, and all Omegas are submissive. All other classes, including Betas has both submissive and dominant males. So Claudius is a dominant Delta 3 , and cannot get pregnant . Trent is a submissive Delta 3 , and he can get pregnant . I hope this helps clear this up.

Damien is from the other books. There are six books in this series, This is book 6, and the timeline runs along the prequel, book 1, A Broken Alpha. Actually, near chapter 50 the timeline is between book 1 and chapter 2.

I knew about Damien, I’m just confused why Hughes thinks a chosen mate is better. I mean is he dumb enough to not know he can’t get a chosen mate pregnant?
