I sat in my chamber, sipping my morning tea, and waited for Cane's mother to join me. It was our special time, just the two of us, and I always looked forward to it.

But as the minutes ticked by, I began to feel a growing sense of unease. Cane's mother was always punctual, and it wasn't like her to be late.

I set my cup down, my eyes scanning the room as if expecting to see her walk in at any moment. But she didn't come.

A faint worry began to gnaw at my mind, and I pushed it aside, telling myself she was probably just running a bit behind.

But as the minutes continued to pass, my unease grew. I got up from my chair and walked over to the window, staring out at the gardens below.

Where was she? She knew how much I loved spending time with her in the mornings.

I decided to ask one of the maids to check on her, to see if everything was okay.

I called out to a passing maid, a gentle soul named Sophia, and asked her to go check on Cane's mother.

AUTHOR'S POVThe chaos erupted into a flurry of activity as the guards sprang into action. I quickly assessed the situation, my mind racing with the dual priorities of saving Cane's mother and dealing with Leah's unexpected labor."Some of you, secure Leah and Liz," I instructed the guards, my voice firm and commanding. "Make sure they're safe and under guard. Others, carefully carry the Luna mother back to the pack's headquarters. We need to get her medical attention immediately."The guards nodded, quickly dividing into two groups. Some of them surrounded Leah and Liz, trying to keep them calm and under control as Leah's labor and the contractions grew stronger. Others rushed to the Luna mother, their faces etched with concern as they carefully lifted her into their arms.I watched as they carried Cane's mother away, my heart heavy with worry. We had to get her to safety, had to get her the medical attention she needed. I knew Cane would be devastated if anything happened to he

LEAHI paced back and forth inside the hut, my heart racing with a mix of emotions. Anger and fear swirled inside me, each one feeding off the other. I had planned this moment for so long, and had worked tirelessly with Liz and Alpha Fred to make sure everything went according to plan. But now, as I looked at Cane's mother lying helpless in the corner, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She was weak and unconscious, her body battered and bruised from our earlier encounter. But even in her vulnerable state, she seemed to radiate an aura of calm, of peace.I scoffed at the thought. She was just a prisoner, a pawn in my game of revenge. And soon, she would be nothing but a bargaining chip, a tool to break Cane's will. But despite my confident words to myself, my nerves twisted and turned with anxiety. What if Cane didn't come for her? What if he didn't care enough about his precious mother to risk everything to save her?I pushed the thoughts aside, trying to f
