Luke swung his leg off the bed and shook his head. He has to get his mind off Liam one way or another.

And the only way to do that was to watch a show or something.

He walked to his desk and turned on his laptop. He spent the next five minutes searching for the right show to watch.

He finally found the perfect one.

Ten minutes into the movie, he realized that he wasn't focusing.

His mind kept drifting off back to Liam.

Fuck!

He cursed and slammed his laptop. He pushed his hair backward and stared up at the ceiling.

Since watching a show won't work, then studying will. He brought out his textbooks and began to flip them through.

But again, his mind kept drifting off to Liam… the way he hugged him, the way he was crying, his jawline, his cobalt blue eyes he used to drown in…

Fuck!

Luke groaned again, frustratedly and slammed his textbooks shut.

He was slowly losing his mind and it infuriated him. Liam had now occupied his mind like a fucking dark cloud!

He sprang to his feet.

This wouldn't be happening if that date didn't happen! This was all Sam's fault! Yes, that good for nothing asshole!

He's gonna find him and teach him a lesson!

He grabbed his phone and exited the dorm.

The loud music blurred the noise everyone in the bar was making. The dim light swung to and fro and people jubilated as they danced and rocked.

A girl walked in, she had on a dark leather mini-skirt that stopped just a few inches from her thigh, dark fishnet stockings, dark boots and a corset top that squeezed out her titties. Her raven hair lay on her shoulder and her thick succulent lips were smudged with red lipstick.

The moment she stepped in, everyone instantly felt her presence and turned to look at her. Some of the girls went green with envy at the sight of the lovely girl while the guys stared in lust and admiration.

Among the guys in the bar was Sam, along with his other friends, Tom and Mike. Sam was known popularly around the school as the playboy who had slept with nearly all the hot girls on campus.

He wasn't particularly handed but he just had that magnetic charm that drew girls in.

“Bet you can't pull that girl.” Tom teased at Sam who wasn't yet aware of the girl that just stepped in, while Mike just chuckled.

“What girl?” He asked, turning around.

His eyes instantly landed on the girl and he let out a slow whistle. He liked what he saw. The girl possessed everything he liked in women… ass, boobs and pretty face.

These were the three things.

He sipped his drink, his eyes still not leaving her.

“How much do you wanna bet?” He swung around to stare at his friends.

“Five dollars,” Tom replied.

“Make it fifty.”

“What? You're crazy. I ain't got that kind of money.”

“Okay, how ‘bout we do this? If I manage to get her, you'll link me up with your sister.”

Tom glared at him while Mike laughed. “I've told you, Sam, my sister is off limits!”

“I'm a gentleman, I'm sure she'll like me.” Sam patted Tom on the shoulder and walked off towards the girl.

The girl was now sitting on a stool in front of the bar.

“Dry martini, please.” The girl ordered, her voice as sweet as melody.

She liked the attention she was garnering and would enjoy it while it lasted.

“Make that two.” Sam took his seat beside her.

The girl didn't acknowledge his presence.

“Hello, princess.” He rested his arm on the counter and fixated his gaze on the girl's breast.

The girl still didn't acknowledge him.

Playing hard to get I see? Sam thought, with a smirk. He liked his girls with a little challenge anyway.

“You alone?” He asked, knowing fully well she hell was. Getting the response from her, he went on, “You know it's dangerous for a girl like you to be out here by yourself, right?”

The girl turned to look at him for the first time, acknowledging his presence.

Wow! Big green eyes! Sensational! Sam thought, I'm definitely laying this chick tonight!

“And who says I can't handle any danger?” She mused, giving Sam a glance over. “Misogynistic much?”

Sam made to speak but a guy who had just stepped into the bar caught his eye.

He paused, squinting his eyes to ensure he wasn't hallucinating.

It was Luke! He wasn't hallucinating!

Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit! He cursed looking for a spot to hide but Luke had already spotted him.

“Hey, Sam!” He yelled his name, walking towards the counter.

“Goddamn!”

“What's the matter?” The chick asked.

Luke slammed his fist on the counter. “We need to talk, don't you think?”

“Uh… I'm in the middle of something here.” He whispered to Luke.

“Don't care!” Luke dragged him to his feet and began to pull him out.

I didn't even get her name, Sam thought miserably, regretting setting up that date. If he hadn't, he would have laid this girl tonight.

Once out of the bar, Luke let go of him and turned to face him.

“What the hell, Sam?!” Luke yelled at hy

“Okay, okay, before you say any further, let me say this. I was just trying to help you. I mean well…”

“Did I tell you I needed a blind date?” Luke cut him off. “What you did was totally disrespectful and I don't appreciate that.”

“Alright, alright, I'm sorry.” Sam apologized, “I was just trying to help you out. Travis is a nice guy and I thought…”

“Yes, he is.” Luke blurted.

Sam paused, “Hold on, if you think he's a nice guy, then what's the problem? Don't tell me you're afraid he'll betray you like that asshole?”

“Actually… I saw him.”

“What?”

“I met him. Travis suggested we go to the basketball tournament our school was having with Raven College. He was among the players.”

“Oh God!”

“And now,” Luke pursed his lips, “I can't get him off my mind.”

Fuck! Sam thought regretfully, this is all my fault! What have I done?

Four Lovely Years Later “I swear to God, Mary, if we miss this wedding, I'm never gonna forgive you!” Anthony growled through gritted teeth, “For how long are you gonna do your makeup for God's sake?!” “Oh, please!” Mary waved him off with a slight roll of her eyes, “Let a woman wear her makeup in peace. Besides, we still have like an hour before the event begins, and also, Megan is there. She'll probably be recording the entire thing on her phone, so even if we miss it, we'll watch it on her phone.” “I want to be there, Mary,” Anthony said, “I don't want to watch my son's wedding through some phone screen.” “Then exercise some patience,” Mary said, applying some lip gloss on her lips, smacking them and then pouting. She scrutinized her already-styled hair through the mirror and then turned. “I feel like the hair is not that, you know, well styled.” She turned to Anthony, “What do you think?” Anthony knew that if he said just one wrong thing, she might spend another whole hou

  • Closeted Desires    Will You Marry Me?

The two stepped down from the car and walked towards the cabin after Luke locked the car. They reached the cabin and Luke unlocked the door with a key he fished out from his pocket, then opened it for Liam and stood by the side, gesturing him to enter.Liam entered and glanced around the place, wide-eyed.The scent of pine, cinnamon, and something sweet in the oven drifted through the warm air. The inside was small but inviting… wooden walls, soft lighting, and a fire crackling lazily in the stone hearth.A Christmas tree stood proudly in the corner, dressed in red and gold, with a scattering of wrapped presents tucked beneath its branches.Garlands laced the mantel, dotted with tiny lights and sprigs of holly, and stockings hung loosely beneath a framed photo of the sea. A wool blanket was thrown over the arm of the couch, and a tray with two mugs of cocoa waited on the coffee table, still steaming. The room felt lived-in, but not cluttered. Just... right. Like warmth made visible.L

  • Closeted Desires    Surprise!

It was the night of Christmas Eve and Megan stood at the bottom of the stairs with arms folded across her bosom as she stared at the treeless living room. This was the first Christmas that they had had that the family hadn't bought any tree, not to talk of the decorations around the house. Those things were unimportant at the moment.Since that day, Liam came out to his parents, this home suddenly became a house. No one talked to each other, no one asked questions… they just co-existed.Megan would often hear her Mom sobbing silently in the corner of the house and she couldn't even bring herself to comfort her.And Anthony on the other hand acted as though nothing happened… as though Liam was really dead. She sighed. Is this what Kelly and her family went through her Luke was outed? She thought to herself. This is so horrible. She wondered if they would be having Christmas Eve dinner as Mary hadn't even come downstairs to cook. She has been the one calling Liam and coward and pesterin

  • Closeted Desires    Christmas Eve

After breakfast was done, Liam returned to Luke's room to relax while Luke stayed back and helped his mom clean up the table.Liam plugged in his ear plug and listened to some Christmas songs on his phone with a bittersweet feeling. He has always celebrated Christmas with his family, but he knew for certain that this Christmas wouldn't be celebrated with them.He wondered how Megan was doing so he decided to send a text. But no reply came.Knowing how extreme his father was, he must have done something to her phone. He sighed helplessly but he wasn't feeling lost nor that sad… he had Luke and his family. He decided to use this time to think about what he would be doing with his life if Luke returned to college next year.Just in the middle of his thoughts, a knock came through the door and he quickly paused the song to make sure he wasn't imagining it.But when the knock came again, he got to his feet and opened the door.To his surprise, Kelly was standing before the door.“Oh!” He s

  • Closeted Desires    Give Him a Chance

“You okay?” Luke asked slowly, stroking some strands of hair off of Liam's face.Liam smiled and nodded, “Mhm hmm.”But the smile didn't reach his eyes. They were cuddling tenderly on the bed.“You know, you don't have to pretend you're okay when you're not.” Luke said, gently caressing his face, “I’m here for you.”“So this is what you went through alone?” Liam asked.“Hmm?”“Two years ago, when I abandoned you just to save my head,” Liam stated, “I imagine you were feeling a lot worse than I am feeling now. I'm sorry, Babe.”“Hey, we've gotten over that since for a long while now.”“But… I still feel bad,” Liam persisted, “I came out on my own time when I was ready, but you? You were…”“Okay, since you're feeling bad, I feel bad too,” Luke pouted.“For what?”“Because of me, your basketball dream came to an end. The dream you've had since we were kids. You threw it all away, and risked your life too, just to save me, what if something terrifying had happened to you? Huh?” Luke asked

  • Closeted Desires    Make Things Right

Megan hesitated, “Mom, you okay?”Mary sniffed and wiped the tears in her eyes, and then returned to cooking breakfast.“You know all along, didn't you?” Mary asked in a wavering voice, then turned to face her, “That's why you and Kelly broke up your friendship. That's why…” She broke off and burst into tears, “You've always known! How could you not tell me?! How could you?!”“I'm sorry Mom,” Megan said apologetically, “It wasn't my place to tell and…”“And what, Megan? And what? Your brother is a homosexual!” Mary said amidst tears, “You should have told us sooner so we could find a cure…”“There is no cure Mom!” Megan interrupted sharply, “Because it isn't some kind of sickness that needs curing! Being gay is completely normal! It's natural!”“You're out of your goddamn mind!” Mary gritted. “You're here spewing nonsense!”“No, I'm not!” Megan defended, “Liam is happy where he is right now! Can't you guys just be happy for him? Hmm?”Anthony aggressively walked into the kitchen and s
